They all use the same motor? That's kind of wierd..... Well, you really should look at the DS. It has really great games coming out for it and the ingenuity of the gameplay is so refreshing to play. The PSP has no unique features. I also have a friend who played with one and he said it feels like it's about to break cause it's made of cheap plastic. Seriously, get a DS, I love mine and I'm sure you all will love it too.

1) Our posts are long 'cause we don't believe in SPAM. We say all we have to say in one go.
2) They sell video games at the same price everyone else is. A quick check on Walmart.com shows new releases for BOTH PS2 and XBOX are average $35-40. I would imagine there are games for the GameCube sold for that much as well.
3) Most likely Sony would invest PS2 profits in more PS2 stuff & games...
4) If you really don't care, why did you post about it?

I agree with the first part, you people must really play hard if your equipment breaks that quickly. I've had my PS2 for years, and I've never had to replace or repair any equipment, ever. The same goes with the towering mountain of various Nintendo products I've acquired over the years. As for X-Box, I've never tried it myself, but I haven't heard many complaints about it, so I assume it's in the clear as far as quality goes.
It sounds to me like they tried to release the PSP prematurely. They say that they did it on purpose, but I know that they could have compacted it down ever so slightly so that the button was properly aligned. It would have taken a little more time, but having one button that doesn't work as well can really compromise game play, not to mention they would have been spared the hatred of all the buyers of the defective consoles. Their reputation must be evaporating quickly. It wasn't ready for release, and they knew it, but they released it anyway. I've seen Microsoft do the same thing in the past with some of their software. I'd take Nintendo over either of them any day.
Besides, Nintendo has plumbers with vacuum and water guns for heroes. You can't beat that.
Finally, this post may be inferior to GustaffGlyde's, but I'll follow his example anyway and end this post with a quote from the dictionary for Nintendo.

Mario Sunshine was the most pathetic Mario Game ever. PS2 is the best console out there.
And also, Nintendo and Quality games don't mix that often.
But I do blaim sony for releasing the PSP prematurely, but they also did that with the PSX if I remember correctly. They will fix it on the newer versions of the handheld, so it doesn't matter unless your one of those people that want everything the second it comes out, which a lot of people did, but the button probably isn't much of a problem, or Sony would of post poned the selling of the PSP.

XD People would disagree with you on the Mario Sunshine thing. I've heard it's actually one of the funner games out there; soon as I get a Cube, I intend to find out. Nintendo and quality games... don't mix? XD again. Look at Super Mario Brothers. Just Super Mario Brothers. On the NES, it's a CLASSIC - Mario, Mario Two, and Mario Three are all phun and addictive games. SNES's Super Mario World: another Classic, phun addictive game. On the N6-four-, again a well known, much loved game. "Oh, yeah, but that's just Mario." This topic isn't about Nintendo; I'd be more than happy to hammer this out somewhere else. Yeah, the square button isn't important... XD for the third time. I guess you can just rotate the controls everytime you want to use the square button's fuction, but I seriously doubt that Sony would be so utterly stupid as to intentionally make it that way, as they claimed. I don't know much about the square button's usage on the PSP, but on most of my old PSX games, square = shoot. MegaMan X Four, Five, and MegaMan Legeds one and two, it fires the buster. Legend of Dragoon it's used for combo attacks I think. I only own like five PSX games though so I can't speak for all of them. I actually think I have a controller with a faulty square button... well I have a lotta broken controllers, but ehh... Square button's usage = depends on the game. Yeah, Sony's gunna probably release a newer version of the PSP, and it probably won't be any different than the regular PSP, just with a few fixes here and there... way to screw your gamers, Sony.

They did mess this one up, and without any reason. I am not to keen on the hand held market either way. The thing with Nintendo, they make some very very good games, but there for like 4 year olds, and I can't even get into the story, and some of the voice actors are ATROCIOUS.
About sony being sued, oh well, they are a huge company and its probably just going to slow them down a bit.

Well yeah, they're playable to little kids but that doesn't mean they're not phun to older people as well. Phun for all ages. And it's not just Mario; they have Metroid and Zelda and other stuff. Sony "purposely" making a faulty handheld just goes to show how stupid they think they can be. I'm sure they'll fix it if it ends up hurting them somehow, but it still sucks. They are a huge company though, so it'd probably take a big blow to shake 'em...

Sony needs to stick to consoles. Leave the handhelds to Nintendo.

The Dual Shock controllers are supposedly Immersion's technology. They're getting sued for using it. That's my understanding of it anyway...
