Chapter 9: The Return
24 minutes later Dashe's dial-up pulled up Mega Man Legends Station's forums. "Where am I?" Dashe asked. The entire layout of the place had changed to Version 3. The blue tones were lighter, the forum looked less cluttered, and it looked pretty nice.
She glanced around the boards and took in everything that had happened. SimStevens and TerraChronicle had both been banned. Some guy named Pitch had posted a large load of stuff. There was a trial RP in full swing, and Eric Chiz was still Canadian.
On top of that, some kid named JMC_47 and his brother notmyname were working on some kind of fan project involving voice acting.
Dashe ended up reading a lot of the old threads just to get wind of what had actually transpired in the past six months. It had been a LOT...

Chapter 10: First Post in a While
So what happened to me once I found my bearings again? Well it took fourteen days to get back together but I'll get to that later. I'll talk about what I did for the next few months. I know you people are all simply dying to know, as if your very lives depended on it.
So Dashe, with her point of view switching back from its brief sojourn in the first person, stopped acting like an idiot and focused on posting to set her return to MMLS in stone.
She posted a return thread and put it in the wrong board, which Feldinaut had to move to Rules and Introductions. fab, Pitch, bola, Bluerobotgirl, and meteorsummoner welcomed her back, though half of them only seemed to vaguely remember her existing at all.
"I'm going to have to come back to MMLS for good, but I can't leave Sparky."* Dashe admitted with a sigh, referencing someone nobody up until then had heard anything about whatsoever.
Dashe finally got the free time she needed to start posting again. Before she took off she went outside to Sparky's house to say good-bye.
With a sigh, she knelt down next to the fence and uttered, "I'm sorry Sparky, but I have to leave you, even though you weren't even my dog, and even though I don't even like animals. I need to devote all my free time to posting stuff about my favorite video game to complete strangers. I hope you understand."
Sparky barked. An old lady rapped at the window of the house on the other side of the fence and shouted, "GET AWAY FROM MY DOG, YOU LITTLE PUNK, OR I'M CALLING THE COPS!"
Dashe ignored the irate woman and continued as though Sparky had actually spoken. "I do love you. It's just that I have to earn a living one way or another."
"ARE YOU DEAF OR SOMETHING? GET THE @#$% OFF MY LAWN, NOW!" The neighbor screeched, leaning out the open window, the sunlight glistening off of her outdated, tacky cat's eye glasses.
"I will be back someday, Sparky." With those final words, Dashe ran back to her computer.
*pronounced "Spar-key" *post thoughts if you want*

Nice to see that you're still dedicated to writing the story. Have you seen my new version of it? I actually decided to make it longer than the original. If you read it please leave a comment or two.

This one was pretty funny, especially the mock dramatic part at the end with Sparky (aka "Spar-kay"). I hope Dashe dosen't get arrested .

So you took my suggestion, eh? Stop being so busy! You should have at least five more chapters at this point!

Sweet Oz, Musashi, do you think I'm the real Dragge or something? Updating fics can be hard when you have homework! And Blues...it's "Spar-key." I knew that pronunciation guide was necessary. So without further ado, I present... Chapter 11: New Home (4-6 Minutes later)Dashe ended up logging into MMLS for quite some time after that and got some semblance of a reputation back, making quite a lot of posts. She was reveling in her increasing post count and rolling in PMs within days of returning. People coming from all over were making new threads for her to post in. Within weeks Dashe's menial opinions were known forum-wide. "I can't believe how popular I am. By next week I'll have a ton of those spiffy Reaverbot eyes under my username." That was true. The next week there were four Reaverbot eyes under Dashe's username. Now that she had a substantial number of posts, she settled in a nice condo near the You Don't Know White Bread Cafe where she loitered happily for a long time.

Chapter 12: The Day that Changed Everything
I'm posting two chapters because Musashi wanted more.
One day Dashe was out for a stroll. Then someone in gold armor came up to her.
It was fab. "Listen, I've been watching you for a while and want you to watch the forums while I go on vacation and Feldinaut goes to college orientation."
"Nice armor. I'm jealous." Dashe replied. "I wish I had some cool armor like that...especially cool, irrelevant armor with an acronym that spells out my username."
"Dashe, are you interested in being our temp staff assistant for the next month or so?" fab repeated. He wondered if Dashe had even paid attention to the question at all. Somewhere deep down he was starting to regret this decision.
"Yes, just as long as I get paid." Dashe shrugged with a grin.
"Are you high?" fab asked after a moment of awkward silence.
Dashe regretted that brief moment of stupidity on her part for about two minutes, but having a little green Elysian symbol under her username instead of a bunch of Reaverbot eyes sounded appealing even if she wasn't being paid.
It wasn't until a few weeks later, when she busted a kid for double-posting before Pharaohman had the chance to even get to him, that she realized that she could go somewhere with this gig, even though it was just a temporary thing.
I mean, after the month was over the real Ban Happy Mod Squad would take their jobs back and everything would go according to plan, right?

... *slaps forehead* That was...not good at all. But then, I'm not surprised, especially considering most of my younger siblings/cousins/etc., love HSM far too unhealthily, at least IMO... Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to more Dashe Misadventures!

Chapter 13: Can I Do This?
Dashe knew that now that she was in some sort of position remotely resembling "in charge," she was well on her way to getting somewhere where she could actually wreak a decent amount of havoc onto the hapless MMLS civilians.
"Hey Pharaohman," she began, approaching the other remaining mod one afternoon just on the outskirts of the polls section. "Is there anything I'm supposed to do when I catch another chump double-posting or something stupid like that?"
Pharaoh shrugged and took a swig of his Mountain Dew. "Not really. All you have to do is write up an infraction report and drop it off in the Staff Lounge." He replied.
"Staff Lounge?" Dashe repeated, skeptically raising an eyebrow. "You seriously have a lounge?"
Pharaohman almost choked on his Mountain Dew as he realized the precarious blunder he'd just made. "Um...uh...er...did I say lounge?" He stammered. "We don't have a lounge! Really! I meant...um...just tell me whenever you bust someone, just like last time. You did it right before."
'Riiiiiiight." Dashe sighed. "If you expect me to buy any of that, you've got another thing coming. Where's the Staff Lounge?"
So PharaohmanXe54 wound up telling Dashe everything. "fab put a cloaking device on it," he explained, cringing as he pictured the look on fab's face when he found out she knew. "Only the Ban Happy Mod Squad can see it, you can't just go around looking for the place and expect to find anything. Either way you're not getting in."
"You keep telling yourself that," Dashe muttered under her breath as she darted off to the busiest section of the forums as fast as possible. She tried not to run into anyone, but there was one member that ran into her.
"Ugh!" Dashe exclaimed. "You're the kid who was double-posting on my watch!" She glanced at the bulletin board, where he was in the process of writing something else. "Doing it again, I see?" She frowned and pulled a little yellow notepad out of her pocket, scrawling something on the top page and handing him his infraction notice with a flourish.
"im rely rely sorry dashe i wont do it again i promiss" The kid whined, misspelling half of his sentences in the process and completely neglecting the use of capital letters.
"You'd better not do that anymore." Dashe bluffed. "I have orders to terminate anyone I catch double-posting, but I'll spare you for now just because I'm nice like that. Now run along and keep our forums clean."
As the kid scrambled off, Dashe snickered and muttered, "I'll get into that lounge no matter what."
