Originally posted Apr 24thAt this time, we aren't planning to have minigames like MML1 or MOTB has. We're looking more along the lines of unimportant 'ruins' which have no real connection to the story, like MML2. These might feature events which further the story, but aren't necessary for game completion. There will also be missions and events which are unimportant to the story as well, but would aide your cause should you do them. The reasoning behind this is the game's story, and the environment, doesn't really call for 'fun'. Trigger is a much more matured version than what was seen in MML1 or even MML2. New Post:We've decided on a name change: Introducing ... MMLii. As in "Emma Lee". While the code-name "Legends Expansion" expressed our direction, MMLii represents the answer. MMLii will break down that wall that separates Legends players from everybody else. MMLii will put people more in touch with the Legends universe ... and each other. But you're probably asking: What does the name mean? MMLii sounds like 'Emma Lee,' which emphasizes this fangame is for anyone named 'Emma Lee'. MMLii can easily be confused by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. Complete confusion. Total chaos. MMLii. MMLii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the funny name of Nintendo's new system and the image of people gathering to smoke each other in Counterstrike. And MMLii, as a name and a game, brings something Expansionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd." So that's MMLii. But now the MMLii team needs you. Because, it's really not about you or me. It's about some person called Emma Lee. And in the end...well...frankly, we don't know anyone called Emma Lee...but it's anything similar to Sara Lee...

lol. yeah I really didn't like Nintendos rename either. I heard a rumor that it was going to be called The Nintendo Go. Which is awesome since Go is Five in Japanese and the revo was going to be Nintendo's fith home console. But alas that dream has been dashed.

Something tells me the "Wii" jokes are going to go on for at least a good six or seven years now. I don't think Nintendo will live this down till the generation after next.
Go would've worked great. There's no confusion, no need for an excessive explanation, it can be all-regional too.. It's simple. Not perfect like the name Revolution would've been, but it was a helluva lot better than Wii.
I think wii need to petition Nintendo to stop this madness.

I think it is a odd name, but not bad name. I really don't see the big deal though.
However, if you think about it, that would be interesting. Continue the MML series on the Wii. Don't ask why the Wii off all systems. Just sounds interesting to me. Maybe it is because the Wii is the coolest looking.

Uh...seriously, uh...that was just a joke. It's still named MMLEx, and it's still for the Win32 PC.
Well, if MML3 was ever to come along, what system would they put it on? It seems the entire community is divided amongst the 3 newest systems...and I personally will not buy MML3 if it is handheld-only. ...but that's another discussion for another time.

I know it was a joke, and I know the game is still for computers. I was just saying it would be interesting if Capcom continued it on the Wii. But yes, this is another discussion for another time.

Soon enough. Just be patient. We haven't publically announced a release date for the demo because, hey, stuff might happen, it might be delayed a day or two.
As for release of the main game, that's much too far away to determine when even approximately...
Oh, and there won't just be one release, we'll be releasing MMLEx in small chapters...however, we still don't know about when the first chapter would be ready.

Oh no!!!! The vices of Episodic content has even reached MMLEx. Just kidding.
Is this so that if for some reason the fan community doesn't like where the story is going you guys can tweak the later chapters? Or are you guys going to stand strong to what you wrote... DON'T FALTER!!!!!

What I wrote...
And yes, we're thinking that in patches we might release some tweaked storyline content, perhaps rephrase a few things, or high quality sound files. Yes, the main game will be distributed with lower quality sound files for bandwidth reasons, but we will be offering a high quality sound patch shortly after MMLEx Part 1 is released.
But seriously, writing over this stuff, I see myself going back and thinking "Wait a sec...this doesn't really line up correctly with the provided canon" or "Perhaps these events need to be shuffled around". I'm working on how this would work for people who're half-way through the game when story changes are made, for example, introducing a key scene or a new item early in the game, the player would have to restart the game to obtain the item/see the cutscene.
And yeah, it would be great to have feedback on the game as the episodes are released, so we can see what people think, what people want, and then incorperate that into future episodes.
I mean, a week ago, I was working with a 5-act presentation, but now I'm think this may need to be 6-acts. I dunno. If MMLEx is really successful at the end of the planned storyline, we may try to continue it, though we aren't leaving ourselves much room for a true sequel to MMLEx.

Stick to one line in order to avoid unneeded choas. There was a time when MMLS encouraged quality over quantity. I don't know where the hell those times went, but I know I won't stop posting long posts. If no one wants to read through them, that's their loss, and I won't feel responsible, nor will I cater to people who use the forum like a chatroom and less like a forum! And Mandinga, please don't quote entire posts by the person above you if they're more than 1 or 2 sentences.*coughs* Back on topic, now, everyone!
