MML2, has without a doubt the best ending, but also the most saddening ending because it leaves you hanging. My two thousand cents

I'm sorry to say that MML2's ending sucked. It didn't explain anything and it left me hanging.
MoTB.

MML2 is easily the best when it comes to endings.

I'm sorry to say that MML2's ending sucked. It didn't explain anything and it left me hanging. MoTB. Are you kidding me? There's so much to the ending in MML2. MML1's ending didn't explain anything. In fact, I believe Data's exact words were All of which are explained toward the end of Legends 2(he is MegaMan Trigger: First Class Purifier aka Irregular Hunter, His memory was lost when he had to be reset from the battle with Sera, and he originally removed abberant units from the system aka irregulars aka mavericks). Legends 2 explained everything, except what the elder System is. You don't dislike Legends 2's ending, you just wish they'd have followed up to it. Were they to make a Legends 3(which seems almost inevitable now) that clarified all these things you don't understand, you'd like the ending of Legends 2, no?

Perhaps, but all of those factors are geared towards the ending of all of the games. It is my belief that each one is an experience unto itself. Such lack of details and clarification affect the overall mood that is created when you witness each conclusion. The yearning that the ending of Legends 2 leaves for a follow-up is not something to be ignored. One will either enjoy such a thing or hate it.
That thought in mind, my vote is for MoTB. Entertaining, and the only one so far with a solid, non-cliffhanger finish.

All I'm saying though is that the like or dislike of an ending can be completely variable depending on whether the game has a sequel. For instance, I'm sure there were plenty of people that played MML1, back in '98 and were sittin there thinkin "what the...." at the ending(Juno really was just kinda crammed into the ending after all). I should know, I was one of 'em('cept I was about a year and half late! ^^)! But now, after playing MML2 I absolutely LOVE the ending to MML1, as it was really like as perfect a prelude to MML2 as you could get(without even knowing it!). The only difference between MML1's ending and MML2's - aside from storywise - is that MML1 was followed up.
Desire for a sequel is great(wish we'd have seen more of that 5 years ago), but not really reason to hate an ending. Especially one as good as Legends 2's... It's supposed to be exciting!! that's the point of a cliffhanger!

I guess. Personally, I’m impatient and posses no appreciation for suspense, so I hate cliffhangers. True though. I hated the ending of Legends 1 the first time I played it, but loved it once I understood what was going on. I’ll probably be the same way with Legends 2. But for now, I’m going with Tron Bonne.

I like the motb ending, everything gets sorted out, the colossus is destroyed, loath and glyde are locked up, denise keeps her job and the redhead servbot chucks out everything you've earned through the whole game, perfect.

Tron Bonne takes my vote. It wrapped up the story. The others are good, but aren't considered true "endings" in my book.

Well I personally would't like it if Legends "ended" at 1. Even if 2 was still made. It would be like . . . I dunno, kinda pointless in my opinion(and there'd pretty much be no reason for all of us to be stuck here desperately hoping for a Legends 3). Cliffhangers are a great way to end something. Gives ya something to hope for. But Tron Bonne's ending was pretty good. ;D
