How about Favorite Special Weapon?

...waaaaaaaaaaaaitaminute, I'm in charge of the forums now, which means I own this section too. Never mind, never mind. Give me two or three days to collect the special weapon data and I'll whip up another serial poll like the Reaverbot one, since there are a lot of them.

If we want to decide on favorite weapon, however, there must be a simple decision on how to approach the poll: include or exclude Shining Laser. Because Shining Laser is simply a monster of a weapon, especially when maxed out. And it looks beautiful as it sweeps around in the Sera battle when you target and let it slice through those little floating bombs. ^_^

But, hey, I guess some people might find some of the other weapons such as the Ground Crawler more fun... though I personally just don't purchase anything throughout the game and then build and max out the Shining Laser.

Does it really take over 9,999,999 Z to enhance the shining laser in MML2?

From what I remember, the 9,999,999z is for the final Energy upgrade. Its not really needed, though, as the 2nd Energy upgrade lasts long enough as it is.

Well, I guess you do need 9,999,999 zenny to fully upgrade the Shining Laser in MML2. You see, I never upgraded it that far, so I wouldn't have known for sure; it just feels like that when you have to collect money for the first few upgrades. Must have been a pain for Green to get when he was making his MML2 complete file.

Blues, man we've been over this. Believe it or not, you must've forgotten.

Short version: In the PSP version, weapon upgrade costs were severely cut. The z9,999,999 Shining Laser Energy Upgrade was only z2,500,000. It was also the highest cost of any single thing in the game.

Green: It's really not.. XD I appreciate the comment, but well.. See for the PSP version of Rockman DASH 2(possibly DASH 1 as well), Capcom significantly cut the costs on Weapons Upgrades. That z9,999,999 Energy Upgrade for the Shining Laser? Only z2,500,000! I saved somewhere around 30 MILLION by switching my car insurance to.. nevermind. Admittedly, that did little more than save me a lot of time, as gathering the Zenny was just a lot of senseless repetition. I still maintain it would've been more of an accomplishment if the costs were the same as they were in the original version. I like it just the same, though because having been able to clear the game in under 99:99 hours means I can use the completion times as a sort of signature, in case some one tries to claim credit for these later. Thanks, though. ;D

I happen to think that the Shining Laser is just retarded. It's no fun to use, apart from the fact that it's godly powerful. I enjoy the more interesting weapons. Big explosions, Life Draining electrical orbs that draw in nearby enemies, and all that other fun stuff.

If we had a Special Weapon poll, I think the Shining Laser should be out because everyone's just all "zOMG teh $h1n1n6 L@$3R!" about it..

I agree with Green...the Shining Laser is so plain... Now, the Crusher on the other hand...its still a monster of a weapon, BUT SO MUCH FUN. Mostly because its like Flash Gernade in MM8 though.

My favorite weapon is the...Buster Cannon, I think it's called. It's the one that shoots a huge, powerful orange shot.
