Haha, it's times like these when I curse my inability to just waltz over to Capcom, demand that as administrator of the MMLS forums, they should bring the game stateside simply to suit my personal desires, and watch them quiver in sheer terror as they begrudgingly obey my every whim. I don't even LIKE fighting games. The world is coming to an end. lol nice one dashe. Is there an Official forum?

Yep. I'm excited. I believe Capcom already revealed their list of game thats going to be at E3 but they said their going to be two mystery games revealed at the show So who wants to start hoping that the second one is MML3... (my first post here in so long... I wonder if I'm breakign any rules by just showing up out of the blue.) MML3 all the way man! As long as its good. If its bad I shall never forgive Capcom!
The real beef about MegaMan 8 I had was the quality of the voice acting. It was downright abysmal, and sometimes the cutscenes would skip (though that was just my Playstation being a bit retarded). The quality of the character animation, as with most anime, was subpar, but since it was a video game and not a real feature film, I let that slide. Plus, when I was twelve and playing Mega Man 8, animation quality wasn't exactly what I was looking for--it was mostly just the voice acting. A lot of it sounded really forced. Did anybody ever cough into the Mic as they were doing voice acting lol?
Good point. I forgot how lousy the MegaMan cartoon we got wound up looking...as much as I dislike anime, I dislike 80's-early 90's western superhero style even more. In fact, I totally blocked that series from my mind entirely. Though I still sometimes wonder how it might have looked in the style of a Disney animated musical feature film. lol is megman 4 a good example?
There's a new trailer for Mega Man 9 on IGN here. I don't know about you guys, but so far, I like what I see (and hear!). News about new features sounds good too. ;D Cool im there now! Yar

hillarious megaman put a few years under that belt eh? ;P
I just thought of something. If this is a downloadable game, why is there cover art? Capcom thinks they're really funny, don't they. Either that, or some wisenheimer has far too much time on his hands. Yet it looks like this is indeed Capcom's work- they intend this as a kind of irony as when the US handled the first Megaman game. Even stranger is the fact that 9 is supposedly nominated for a few "Best of E3" awards. On the other hand, an 8-bit game beating out some of the current-gen works right now, that would be incredible. Yes Im secretly praying that it gets at least #2 spot. Heck man #1 8 Bit woot!! {Noted by EC - Septuple post + Short post}

Granted, but they get possessed, and attack you while you're sleeping! I wish for uh... lots of cash? Granted! But you end up in a spending spree and you buy lots of misc- machine parts to make mml parts and end up with 300$ and a broken buster. ;P I wish for new TV (man this one sucks).

Oh, something else I forgot as well. I love how you can tell the Junk store lady that your name is Hippopotamus, and she'll actually refer to you as that for the entire game! It certainly makes conversations interesting... yes yes lol So What would you like to buy today Hippopotamus?
Oh, something else I forgot as well. I love how you can tell the Junk store lady that your name is Hippopotamus, and she'll actually refer to you as that for the entire game! It certainly makes conversations interesting... Actually, that was her husband. But I agree! I told him that was my name and I was expecting a "Stop messing with me, I know that's not your name!" like in most games which give you such an option, but was pleasantly surprised to find out he not only believed you, but called you by such from there on out. XD lol yeah more games should have minor altering prank elements such as this
Best part? Man... almost everything. Don't make me pick... Solid Agreed 5/5 10/10 99/100 - We need more!!
the soundtrack in this game was phenomanel when it wanted to freak you out eg clozer gate sub ruins(the one with the card keys and introduction to wolf reavorbots) it freaked you out when it wanted to pump you up for a fight it did that to another eg the main gate the first time i heard that do do do do do i was like les kick some booty! yeah that strange moaning sound was like creeping me out the 1st time I went in there ( 5 Yrs ago ).
Oh hey! I got 100 posts! Woot! Ahh nevermind. 101 lol {Noted by EC - Quintuple post + Offtopic

I got this from the old jump.to/dash website on the wayback archive. I've got both but have never checked out dash yet. I thought it might be interesting. Sounds good how old was the site?
'Ee-eek!! vs. Ya-yaaaa!!' Just what ARE the differences between Rockman Dash and Megaman Legends? Here's where you'll find out! Hmm I never new that the Japanese version had the Yayaaa!!' as their data sound.
In the American version it's impossible to punt Paprika into orbit. REASON: i'm guessing censorship in america prevented the cruelity to animals..but hey, it's fine to blow up the Bonnes. I think this has to do with Peta lol Also the bonnes almost never get hurt even when the gessel shaft blew up only teisel got an injury on his arm.
The Japanese version DOES allow you to punt the dog away, thus showing Tron an even more "loving" side. REASON: Unlike their american counterparts the Japanese children KNOW the differences of what to do in reality and not Yeah so more mature children = more mature content w00t!!
Paprika's fellow canines can only be 'punted' once in Legends. REASON: Most likely the only reason they even allowed them to be stuck once was because they were meant to attack you due to the Main Gates sudden activation and 'weird things' that've been happening on #Kattelox. After which to prevent the chance of a message going out to impressionable children they denied you your god given right to beat the crap outta them dogs. Yeah when ever I wasn't using my roller blades or Jump springs those dogs would tear me to shreads and I couldn't do a thing about it after the 1st kick.
But in the japanese version they can be repeatedly kicked even after they lay down..Go sadistic Rock! REASON: same as the Paprika one. This sounds more and more like I should be getting this Japanese version.
It's completely impossible to attack the cats on Kattelox island. REASON: ...boy this is getting dull. We love cats woot woot? Well at least the cats are safe to be around.
Where as in Dash you can brutalize the cats as many times as you want. Even the ones you gather on the Flutter. REASON: " " Lol Well thats a little mean unless like me a cat scraped you when you were young.
Last animal one, promise! Lastly there's the birds. It's absolutely impossible to kill the birds in Megaman Legends. REASON: ..i can't figure this out, i mean.. my GOD ..they're just deformed polygons! they look like origami birdies! lol yeah origami birds are under peta rawr
Where as in Rockman Dash your treated to a delightfully amusing scene of you shooting them and them falling to the ground beak first. REASON: ..Bwahaha..die birdies.. lol The die like the draches? Heck thats not even burtality. Thats awesome!
Here we have Megaman innocently walking in on Roll and becoming deathly frightened by what many believe is full frontal nudity. This am bad.. run megaman!! before you turn to stone! REASON: americans always were against any adult contents in 'childish' games. hmph. Puritan heritage woot woot? Well I guess you could say we have better morals Regarless if we follow them.
Though your not able to view what Roll has to offer..if you've collected all the require items to gain her affection you'll not be frightened when you leave her room.. but instead do your dramtic and heroic pose...! REASON: Being in the buff is fun.. That cracks me up mega man is like Uh-Hah! doing his pose lol
When sent on the task to obtain a comic for Jim ..it is just that.. a comic. REASON: yeah, teenagers uh..don't like porn? lol? So in the american V its a comic but in the japenese its p0rn? ;D
Where as in Dash you find a porn magazine. Heh, thats more like it! x.x REASON: god bless the japanese..they're so laid back on this kinda crap. That's about it i believe, but keep an eye out.. who knows what evil lurks in translations and editing. >.< Lol yeah that was alot man . But im sure theres at least one more...
Well, that was enlightening. I knew about Paprika and the bird, but I didn't know the cats could be brutalized too! That's just awkward. I didn't know about the heroic pose either. The comic thing is kind of obvious though. I guess in Legends 2 they scrapped those limits though, because you can shoot rabbits, kick pigs, and Megaman pumps his fist after walking in on Roll in the bath.
However, I've wanted to kick those Old City dogs multiple times due to the irritance they've caused me. Agreed A solid statment I agree with most everything here.
The "article" is pretty unfair to the American version. "Oh, boo-hoo. I can't inflict random animal abuse." Essentially, the game is untouched in its core, but we so must complain about little things that have little purpose. Kicking Paprika never really interested me because you miss out the "Hey! Don't you know you can't treat girls that way?" line. And about the porno mag, I don't know if it was really a porno in the Japanese version. In the English version though, we have our own counterpart inside the bookshop in Apple Market. And yes, MegaMan actually wanted to read it. You have to admit thou that the origami birds going down like draches was pretty fun Regarless of how cruel it seems. Kicking papri into orbit sounds fun purely because you can watch her float around out there. Yeah Idk about the porno mag either it is funny thou that the boys in the house want it thou lol
Yeah, those little things are pointless.. But I must say, punting Paprika was fun because he flew a pretty good distance. >:D And about the porno mag, I don't know if it was really a porno in the Japanese version. In the English version though, we have our own counterpart inside the bookshop in Apple Market. And yes, MegaMan actually wanted to read it. I'm pretty sure it was still just a comic book.. I don't remember from playing on PSP. Investigation time! *runs off* lol Yes green! Punting Papri is fun because he goes a good distance . the only reason to punt dogs in old city is cuz unless your good at dodging them they eat you alive. lol
From what I remember, he says something about there being dirty magazines on the shelf, but that there's a risk of ppl seeing him if he takes one. But yeah, I agree with Betaman, it's not a big deal that a few little things were censored as long as it didn't affect the core gameplay. Plus, with the image I already have of him, I can't really imagine Megaman as indecent. But seriously though, you can kill birds? That's pretty sadistic. I mean, I don't mind the kicking of the dogs since they started it, but killing helpless birds? I can just imagine Roll and Barrell going all Rosemary and Colonel on Megaman, lol. Roll: I never knew you could be such a monster, Megaman! Do you really enjoy killing helpless animals for fun? Barrell: Megaman, if you're 'satisfied', get back to the mission at once. lol the birds are fun not cuz they go down like bird but cuz they go down like draches like in the battles with the bonnes.
To quote Roll: "Well you look like you're having fun." woof woof? lol nice shot man
But yeah, I agree with Betaman, it's not a big deal that a few little things were censored as long as it didn't affect the core gameplay. Plus, with the image I already have of him, I can't really imagine Megaman as indecent. Um hellooooo, Megaman snoops on Roll when she's changing clothes/naked. Twice. And the second one was on purpose. Lol? I've never seen the second one so if someone could link it that would be great. Like the dialog or a short movie? 5-30secs
Both those scenes are optional. regardless I megaman's face is priceless thou lol
If anything, they stopped censoring it after the first game anyway. In the sequel, you can shoot rabbits and kick pigs. Heck, that's actually worse. oo ouch lol the kicking pigs is just like punting a soccer ball made of jello but the shooting rabits? yeah I guess that is sorta worse
Being dark MegaMan actually affected a few relevant things in Legends 2; that's probably why the animal cruelty actions were left in-tact. Furthermore, the negative response, and subsequent price hike-up in the game as a result of these bad actions sends a message that they're not good things to do. lol Well you can still have some free fun in the first one. ;P
censorz are very gay but we must learn to deal with them though in the paprika kicking scene i love how he goes dont you know you cant treat girls that way that line was kick butt but it wouldve been fun to kick him Yes I would say kicking Papri is the best part of the MML style animal abuse. Its just pure laughs. Oh there he goes! {Noted by EC - Trevigenuple Quattuorvigenuple post + short post + unnecessary whole-post quoting}

I'm thinking about seeing this one,too. I loved the first three movies, so many thrills and adventure, this was gold before the studios began to fall back on computers for this kind of thing. At this rate, I might go see it on sunday, my next day off. I'm looking forward to seeing Indy doing what he does best again (... why did it have to be snakes?.... ;D). I've seen most of the Indiana series thanks to netflix and I have to say it was a blast! The latest one was great considering the morals. Also Indiana grabbing the snake made it alot better ;P.
I had the pleasure of watching Raiders of the Lost Ark yesterday and there wasn't a terrible lot of whip action in that either as I recall.. I'd like to see the older films before this one, but it looks pretty good in any case. What is it with people and reviving series that are almost literally decades old these days? THe ending of raiders of the lost Ark was pretty disgusting. Creepy dark and Eww. By the morals were actually up there a bit. And I do agree with previous posters that more whip action needs to take place. {Noted by EC - Double post}

I loved this purely because the castle was so crazy and the showdown was epic.
I really felt for them (gosh that was corny). Altough I found them to be a bit stale at the beginning of the movie... Lol Yeah I they got me too darn them! The beginning was fun cuz its all boring and then waza the magic!! {Noted by EC - Double Post}

-------------------------------------------------- Lovely ComplexThis is my favourite. It's a comedy about a teenage girl who's way too tall for her age, and a boy who's way below the average height for teenage boys. The show usually consists of them bickering with each other while constantly trying to find dates, which is hard considering their height complexes (hence the title). It has a lot of quirky, anime-ish jokes, but a lot of them I found really funny. I like seeing how the two main characters (Risa and Otani) are constantly fighting, without realizing that they have plenty of things in common and that they're perfect for each other (of course, you know that at the end they'll end up with each other). Yeah this sounds like one of those Aww wasn't that sweet? Type animes and most likely by far the healthiest. ------------------------------------------------ BokuranoThis one I found to be particularly dark and disturbing. Though, I've informed myself on the basic plot: 15 children are playing on the beach one day, only to stumble upon a cave that they've never seen before (the beginning focuses particularly on the children and their different personalities, so that you may get to know them and their behaviors). Once inside, they see several computers installed on desks. A man comes in, asking them if they want to play a game. There are fifteen monsters they have to defeat to save the earth, one at a time. Strangely and naively, they accept, and each give their name and hand print. As soon as they're finished, they're teleported out of the cave and see a gigantic mecha outside. They're somehow transported inside it, where they see the man from before piloting it. A giant robot appears in front of them, planning to attack the earth. He gives them a tutorial on how to use the robot and destroys the enemy. The children are then teleported back outside. Basically, the premise is that every day, a new monster appears and the children must defeat it one at a time, as they take turns in the giant mecha. Sounds simple, right? Well, the mecha feeds on life force to run, so after a child pilots it, they die. There are other rules to the "game" as well, such as defeating the monster in 48 hours, and every episode always focuses on one character in particular, which is the next pilot. It usually details the background and motivations to that specific character, while building up the tension to the untimely battle. Yeah This one is pretty creepy. ... But I like that you still watch some anime. M2 Just like once a month lol
After looking up Bokurano, I actually find Battle Royale more disturbing simply because the students have to kill each other, including their friends, to survive. But what's even more disturbing about Battle Royale is the fanbase, who I've not taken a liking to in the same amount as I don't like Naruto freaks. If you read comments on Battle Royale YouTube and crunchyroll videos, you may find them very disturbing. These fans rave about how they love the students killing each other and that they would love to do it themselves as well (Humans really are disgusting creatures... ). In defense of those who like battle royal Most of the people posting in there (97% of them) would probably not really enjoy it. They just look at all this excitement and mindgames/tension and then they look at their life which is boring and full of idiots and they wish they were someplace more exciting. the other 3% are just out of jail and looking for something fun to do. {Noted by EC - Double post}

See I ask this because I'm 18 and I'm kinda concerned about going to a book store and buy this manga called Dragon Drive.. I have been really into this series since I was 16, and I have been buying the manga up till volume 6. I just want to go buy Vol. 7 for my enjoyment but it would be kinda awkward to go into a Barnes & Noble to buy something that looks like its for kids. What I'm really worried about is for some employee to question, talk smack, and embarrass me (This wouldn't be the first time). I could lie and say its for my little brother, though. Hey man its all fine! I mean heck I still love scooby doo and Im like ...uh wait did I just say that? Er I loved scooby doo as a child! /wink
I'll make fun of you; that junk is for kids. But you shouldn't let that bother you anyway.. just buy it. Just like Trix! Silly Rabbit! lol I like where this is going.
find another store where the employees actually have some degree of professionalism. I would say this is the bottom line here.
Children spend the majority of their time wishing they were adults. Conversely, adults spend a large amount of their time wishing they were children. Any intelligent person should be able to understand (and possibly even sympathize!) if you were to claim to want to 'squeeze in as much youth activities as possible while you were still somewhat youthful', to minimize the years of regret. There's also the issue that people well into their 20s and 30s are still anime and manga obsessive ('otaku'), so you could suggest that route. However, with there being strong leanings towards preserving as much of the original Japanese content as possible, I'm not sure how realistic it would be to use on translated manga. Also, opening up the packaging the magazine is in is completely out of the question until you're far enough away from the shop that the clerk doesn't see you do so If they don't buy that, you can always go with the "it's a present for my little brother/cousin/friend's little brother" excuse. It works well, but for those times I've needed to use it myself, I've felt I've died a little inside, betraying my own preferences just to save face with the rest of the world. Who cares what they think, though...you're a paying customer, no? At least you're not the poor schmuck that has to sell copies of the stuff and deal with disgruntled fans when the artwork isn't quite right on page 15, or when on page 71 the hero's girlfriend makes a comment that doesn't exactly align itself with the thus-far established canon of the series. lol This whole Block is Basically QTF ( Quoted For Truth)
Personally, I don't like the direction most US comics have taken lately, it feels... strange. I prefer the older series. Yeah they do feel really strange as I have been noticing too. Its weird, and as it goes on it gets weirder.
I tend to take a balance of both American and Japanese cartoons/comics. They're all really enjoyable. I would say, "Don't be ashamed of what you like" and all that, but since you already got what you wanted, it's redundant to say more. A solid statement blue which I couldn't agree with more.
Blasphemy, no one should be ashamed of the games,comics, or anime they like. Look at me, I still like Digimon and I'm an adult xD lol /highfive! Yeah I like lots of cartoons >< {Noted by EC - Octuple post + Unnecessary whole-post quoting + short post}
