Well, not exactly, but thanks to DAX's 3.02 OE-B, I was able to convert my ripped MAoTB iso into the format to be able to play it on my PSP. It plays 100% perfect! With no lockups in certain parts of the game like a certain other emulator. Right now, I'm about to convert my MML2 iso for the PSP (No more navigating through the Japanese text in the Rockman Dash 2 UMD!) I would get MML on my psp as well, but I only have the N64 version

What?! Cool!
Could you provide a step-by-step method please? I've been wanting to do this, but I fear I might brick my PSP...
I have 2.81 by the way.

I have 2.81 by the way.Eh, sorry, but you must have FW 1.5 or 2.71 in order to be able to install the 3.02. Anything above 2.71 is an gauranteed brick ----------------------------------------------------- Posted by the almighty TIESEL BONNE on Jan 5, 2007, 10:44am i just got a psp so yay ^_^ *runs around waving psp in the air*Dengit Tiesel, can I have mine back?!

All the required information for downgrading and running PSX on PSP games can be found here: psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/Although, if you just recently got a PSP, chances are that you have 3.0+ and attempting to downgrade will result in an instant brick which would render your PSP more of a coaster than a entertainment device. The only FW's that can be downgraded are 1.0-2.8. If you're lucky enough to have one in that range then I will help you.

So I guess there's no downgrader for 2.81 at the moment..?
But man, are you lucky! I have questions for you though-
How hard was this entire process? Do you have to be technically fluent to get through this, or can a knucklehead like me be able to do it?
How does getting the game you want work? Do you need to physically own it and just convert it in your computer?
Can you change the display on games?

I'm not sure, but I lurk around a lot of PSP emulation sites, so I'll be sure to let you know if I do!
When I installed it there was a guide to installing it which was pretty easy, but now there is a program, that with a click of a button, it will do a majority of the work for you.
All you need is the file to be in .iso, .img or .bin format for it to work. It can be ripped from your own PSX games, or by any other method. Just make sure your files are in NTSC format, although there is a PAL converter, the games don't always work.
There is a program out called PSPconv by ZiNgA BuRgA that converts the iSO's into an eboot that can be read on the PSP. The program also allows you to add images, icons, and AT3 music files to the eboot so on the PSP XMB, you can tell the games apart!
Deng, that was long!

Well, you could sell it on Ebay, and go to superufo.com and buy either a blue, pink, or silver PSP for $221 USD. They are all 1.5 in FW. If you think about the possibilities with a 1.5 PSP, it's definetly worth it. And you can get your favorite colors!
Well, not really. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
A downgrader for the PSP Firmware 3.03 has just been released! 3.03 is the latest version from $ony, everyone should be able to downgrade.

I'm afraid though.... I might brick my PSP... Is there anything I should absolutely avoid so as I don't destroy my $250 toy?

Here's the link: www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51035When I first saw the post, I dodn't read into it much but, unfortunately, you will need a copy of a PSP game in order to complete the downgrade But you could wait longer, and see if another leak can be found so downgrading would be possible without buying GTA. Although PSP games don't cost much anyways.

to downgrade the firmware of a PSP is easy, if anyone can read spanish: www.elotrolado.net/forumdisplay.php?forumid=131&s=this site is the most complete site about PSP for me. PD: to downgrade the psp is only necesary a SD memory card, and the psp. in that page also are info about gc, ps3, and others game sistems.
