Which is why we speculate...
but no I don't believe Capcom has said anything about it. Just that their mother is dead.

There was one very interesting piece of concept art hosted on LtD... bonne.legends-station.com/artwork/beta08.jpgVery interesting. I’m not sure what the portrait Teisel has looks like, since it has been a while since my last play through the game, but this seems to be something else we could go on. Are they dead? The mother is, as has been stated. The father? No clue. I doubt there'd be anything that progressive to the story in NamcoxCapcom, so our next hope would be to either analyze every line of MoTB or hold out for Legends 3. I'm in favor of the latter. o.o

Yes, I've seen that concept art too. Can see where Tron gets her lovely hair - though I always thought Tron's hair was just supposed to be messy... not intentionally like that.
Analyze MoTB, you say... that's not a bad idea... I dunno if a full analysis would be neccessary, just a search for a few key words.
-minutes- -seconds later-
weeeeell, I don't think there's any mention in the script... guess it's back to holdin out for Legends three. Darn...

Well, they could make a sequel with the same initials, but a slightly different name. They could make a Misadventures of The Bonnes. It could have you playing either as Mr. and Mrs. Bonne, in their time, or it could have you playing as the current generation.

A sequel would be nice, but I don’t see that happening before Legends 3. Then, if 3 does well, maybe a MoTB2. Either way, there are no answers in any of the current games.
Perhaps if someone had an official guide that may have bios of some kind? Or direct translations of the Japanese games/guides? I don’t think you’ll get anything new, but those seem like the only hope for anyone interested at the moment. o.o

They would probably have them in the guides by now if Capcom actually cared about their parents.

Unfortunately, if capcom (to my knowledge) aren't making a mml3, i sincierly doubt that they are going to make a MOTB2 before it, cos capcom consider it a spin off (curse them)

I don't think he was serious about Capcom maybe making MoTB2 right now. (hence the " ") I'm guessing there'd have to be some source on this particular info though. Not sure where one would find it, but.... I dunno, probably ridiculously hard to find. Of course, one can hope that with all these recent love for Legends, we might see some more official writings and stuff, explaining such things.

With all my fantasizing about MML3, the concept of MoTB2 never had the chance to cross my mind...but...yeah. It's not happening until after MML3. Still...to think that their dad could very well still be out there somewhere in the world (unless Capcom decides to kill him off behind our backs) gives us another cliffhanger to ponder about.
Mrs. Bonne couldn't have died that long before MoTB...otherwise, how could Bon Bonne even exist? Is he really a robot? If he was around in MoTB, then by MML2 he'd have to be at least two years old by that time. Why is it that he is still only able to say "Babu?"

They probably understand Bon the way parents can somehow understand what their babies want when they start crying. Since Bon doesn't exactly have parents, Tron and Teisel serve as a substitution.

As much as they want us to think that Bon is a baby, I just can’t believe it. He runs around piloting complicated machinery and comes on dangerous missions with the others as if it’s nothing. They would never risk a real child like that. The possibility that Bon is a flesh and blood relative of the other two never once crossed my mind. He must be a robot of some kind. It’s the simplest and most probable explanation I can fathom.

If you've ever seen Family Guy, you should know very well that small children are indeed capable of attempting mass destruction . Bon doesn't LOOK too much like his siblings or even his parents, but how can you be sure that the big robotic-looking thing's really even him at all? Tron built the Servbots and refers to them as though they're her children--it's hard to believe that she'd build Bon and then treat him like he's her brother. But then again, maybe Mr. or Mrs. Bonne built Bon, and like Tron, sort of "adopted" him, in a sense. Which means that one of the parents had to have had some mechanical skill, which is probably where Tron gets it from.
