Hello everyone!
It's been a while since I posted, and I found something a little interesting. Apparently Capcom filed for a bunch of trademarks and one of them happens to be Mega Man Legends.
Of course this isn't a huge indicator for anything and I myself never get my hopes up, but maybe it's at least possible for some sort of re-release/remake or something with some MML elements in it?

Interesting... Call me skeptically optimistic. I wouldn't be surprised if they have been in the process of working on... something... without us fans knowing, especially given how Mega Man 11 was a complete surprise (it was hinted at, but very subtly.) What is it exactly, is anybody's guess. Could be Legends, could be Gargoyle's Quest, literally, any IP they haven't touched on years. Also, note they they haven't released a MML Legacy Collection yet. I mean, sure, the MML games were available for purchase on the PSN, but it wouldn't hurt to release them on other, non-Sony consoles (especially on the Nintendo Switch, given its popularity as of now.) It wouldn't be very hard to port the games to other consoles seeing how successful they were at releasing MM and MMX Legacy Collections. I do know for a fact that there is supposed to be a MMZero/ZX collection later next month (on the 20th or, 20-somethingth,) but is MMZero/ZX really considered a dormant IP? Bah, not really. Though, I don't want to jump on the "they're making MML3!!!" bandwagon just yet, not until I see some hard evidence. Couldn't already know that I'm not a fan of hoaxes. I'm holding my breath on this matter, though this Unit need not to respire... Only time will tell what Capcom's been, once again, doing behind closed doors... I want to believe... [Now, tone down the adrenaline...] Also, hello RyanLEO .

I believe it is speculated that they do this kind of thing to avoid losing the rights of old IPs even if they aren't planning to create new games of them, maybe this is the case with Legends, but due to the success of "legacy" collections, a "Legends legacy collection" does not look so imposible.

I believe this is standard procedure as well. Even for what it's worth I would not look too deep into it.

Yeah I agree with you guys. I have no knowledge on law-language, but it sounds like that's the safe bet; just make sure they hold onto the IPs. But safe bet its a MM Legends Legacy Collection. It will probably just have HD ports of Legends 1, 2 and Mis-Adventures, but here's to hoping they include the MML3 Demo that was supposedly complete, as well as the additional content that was from the MML2 Japanese Demo Disc, and that phone game since we never got that stuff in English. But that's me being super hopeful about what they could do. I don't own the Legacy Collections for Classic, X, or Zero/ZX (I do want to get the Zero/ZX collection since I have fond memories of ZX during High School) so I'm not familiar with what kind of additional content was on them.

The Legacy collections have a challenge mode with leaderboards, previously unreleased art (The first one teased Mega Man 11 before its initial announcement), MM9 and MM10's DLC, and a rewind feature, which defeats the purpose of the games really. The X Legacy collections have an art and merch museum, commercials, videos, and a challenge mode that pits you against two bosses at once. Zero/ZX Legacy collection has a casual story mode, save assist and a Z-chaser mode with online leaderboards.

Is there anything about Crapcom putting out a Legacy Collection for the Network series? I was never interested in it, but correct me if I'm wrong; but that's all that's left besides Legends, right?

Nothing yet. We're still missing Legends, Battle Network, and Star Force. They've got everything else in the Robotics timeline covered. Battle Network and Star Force are a different timeline entirely.
