This one's for everyone here who's tried to write Mega Man Legends 3 since this forum's inception! Seriously, if I had a zenny for everyone who's come in through the Main Gate trying to resolve that, I'd be able to buy a Kevlar Jacket Omega. Old stuff counts too, so if you have a project that you've left hanging for the last ten years, now's as good a time as any to give it some much-needed closure. Writing's the main thing here, but you can make it any format you want as long as you don't end it on another cliffhanger. Full details in the link. You have until the next anniversary of the MML3 cancellation to get your submissions in, so good luck!

I was considering the idea of writing a comic focusing on the Mothers explaining to Megaman how life was on Elysium, who was The Master and the Elders based on my own theories, kinda like the fanfic I wrote some time ago. Also how Roll and Tron would have to put aside their pride and get to work together to build the rocket. Also, lots of cameos.

Do it! The more unique perspectives we can collect, the better!

My Legends musings tend to revolve around the established canon and how it might be fleshed out to create a fuller experience of an already awesome world. Where Megaman's particular story goes next though, that's another matter. Among hardcore Legends fans, I wouldn't be surprised if I have done the least daydreaming on this subject.
Still, I'd like to participate just to show my support. I'll have to see what I can come up with...

I will be honest with all of you here for the first time:
I never, EVER though about how to continue the story of Legends. I imagined that a rocket was made, Megaman and company went back to Terra and lived happy ever after without any incident, drama or "end of the world" plot.
It's not that I cannot imagine what it would be like but with all the games I played and anime I've watched, and when they reach an end that says "but their adventures will continue" or something like that... I just imagine the characters living peaceful and meaningful lives.
So this will certainly be a challenge to me. One that I hope to see it to an end rather than doing half of it and not bothering again until the deadline where I either rush it or give up.

I figured the same tbh. However, for interest sake, if I were to finish a writing for this contest, I'd probably elaborate how the rocket was built, maybe make it a joint effort, with Roll spotting while the Bonnes dig, and Volnutt doing some digging while the mothers spot for him. Maybe they meet in the middle or perform 2 parallel tasks. Then they return to Terra, and promise to assist diggers in direction to recover any technology from the precursors.

Megaman Legends 2 already sets the bar pretty far as climax's go. You can only have so many world ending events in a short period of time. Though the end shows that Tron and Roll can never agree and fight about the technical issues over everything. My impression is that Roll and Tron do eventually manage to build the rocket, but a disagreement between them causes them to crash land. So the game would focus on all of them trying to get back to Terra as they uncover more backstory and meet other characters along the way.

I'm already working on something, at first I thought in making a comic but because I want to focus more on dialogue a simple comic would become boring because of the lack of action, so instead I will make some sort of visual novel or rather an interactive story, it's going to be made on the Blender Game Engine but it's not going to be a game because there will be no choices to make or different endings, it will be kinda like a cutscene in a game, except there is no game This is the style I'm going for: I'm combining my knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics and animation. It may not seem like it, but that Yuna is actually made out of 3D meshes represented as 2D objects aligned on a 3D space, it's kinda hard to explain and boring to read, but the interesting part is that I can actually animate those 2D objects by the same methods of 3D animation, so I can make something like this: So some small animations are to be expected during dialogues to spice things up a little bit. Now I love experimenting new things in Blender but I will try my best to keep this project as simple as I can so I can actually finish it in time, the good news is that I won't need to write really complicated code for this to work, so I think I'm going to finish it... I hope.

That looks awesome, Striker! I can't wait to see it when it's done!

This is an example of how animations would look like in the project, once I add textures to the 2D model to draw shading and details it will look even better! I'm aiming to replicate the original artwork of the characters and animate them this way. If anyone's wondering, the number of vertices I've used in this model alone is around 3000, since there will be no need for the computer to calculate any physics I believe there will be no performance issues on low range PC's, even if there are multiple characters on screen, but I'll have to test it just to make sure.

Even though I can't understand everything I think it's beautiful, the art style seemed familiar to me, it's the same artist who made those, again, beautiful animations that someone converted into a video and Dashe dubbed. If everyone puts this level of effort and passion into their projects, it's gonna be very hard for the judges to pick a winner.
