It's kind of nice to see my art displayed on something, even if it is just a cropped version and a random chance of appearing. That's the best present of all. <3

They'll also be in the site's Art Gallery, so you can even look back on past Secret Santas and check it out. Not necessarily the thumbnails, but it's still fun.

All right guys. I'm ready for my 2 seconds of fame before accidentally refreshing the page again. Merry Christmas to everybody! P.S. - Oh God, I already recognize the entry that used my submission... and it's nightmare-inducing.

THE RESULTS ARE NOW LIVE. This concludes the event, and we will not be accepting any more submissions or stragglers. HF - I find it odd that Teisel would hate that particular present; isn't he known to be a toy aficionado? UltraViolet64 - I'm sure a good bowl of spicy curry will clear that right up. MegaTuga - I know you were doubting your interpretation of the prompt, but I still say you did a good job with your approach...even if it does reference those certain Google Images results. Just think, now fAB has to host that forever! ravenf6 - It's unfortunate you were dissuaded from attempting animation, but the hand-drawn nature of your submission is a nice change from the majority of the other entries. It's also nice to see that Barrett appeared in more than one submission this year. Blyka - Remember - I totally expect to see that thing as a subboss in TLT or something. You have to make that happen. fAB - As I mentioned in the PMs, I'm still impressed you were able to assemble everything together in 2 weeks, despite the fact that 3D art has been your schtick (between the various fangames, and Sneasel Plushie) for many, many years now. Submission of the year material here. Handlebar-Orion X. - The expression on Sera's face is perfect. I've been there so often in the past, and I can sympathize with her pain. Thank god I don't have a sister. Space Apollo - Pretty standard interpretation of the prompt, but quality execution of it. Dashe - Funny, I can't see the Gesellschaft full of puppies in the near future. Would be interesting to see a large scale war between them and the Flutter's kittens. Dragge - I can tell it isn't, but the animation looks a lot like a stop motion made of cut-out construction paper shapes. It's interesting, and it's a little unfortunate that it's so low res. Santa Melty - Pixel art is always a safe bet for animation. I feel like Aero's being reinterpreted as a fangirl self-insert, though... avianbeauty98 - Yes, I was able to squeeze yours in, congrats. Holy hell, though, that image was too large. A 931MiB TIF that's 7000px by 31000px was difficult to download, and even harder to work with. I reduced it to 25% its original resolution, and it's still a 2MiB JPG that's way bigger than most HD displays.

Some of these are so good it isn't even funny. Looks like many didn't went on to the premium but I'm glad I did, Chiz suggested the GifCam program which was super-easy to use. I will get into detail later. For now: HF - Well At least it's an High-quality figurine, right? I love that little (reference to the NT Warrior Anime?) flash in the HUGE forehead. UltraViolet64 - That's a... weird way to sneeze. And from Teisel's reaction I assume it's a common occurrence. ravenf6 - Nice callback to the Prototype Fan De-make there. The Red reaverbot Leg there gives Calamity away. Blyka - Gods, I could hear Tron's voice. Is it just me? I don't know how that thing keeps floating with such small thrusters... fAB - Are. You. Serious. I love how half of it is just "business as usual" but then you spot the tiny odd-colored Birdbot... I would flip a table if I could when I saw that he was wearing the same pattern as Loath, just as the "SHOCK" SFX played too. The ending just makes it better. I said I would make up for the cringe because of my submission but... I'm sorry fAB.... I don't think I can. Handlebar-Orion X. - I don't mind free clothes but when they have messages like that... I feel you Sera. I really do. Space Apollo - Just another day for the Digger in the family... The gap between Roll's and Megaman's expressions is way too hilarious. Dashe - "How can you say no to these puppy eyes?" Is what he seems to say... funny that It's Teisel's eyes which are the more puppy-like. Dragge - I quite like this one. I don't know why. It just puts a smile on my face seeing Data recieving an orange to the head while a Servbot makes an action dive for... reasons. Santa Melty - Is that the smell of shipping fanfiction I smell in the air...? I love the sheer speed of Aero's eyebrow wiggling. avianbeauty98 - Apart from the first text being way out of the textbox I love this whole piece. Poor Guards are always the buttmonkey of the jokes but now they have something to be proud. As for my picture... it was the very first idea that came to my head and I didn't change much from the original, except Tron there which was inspired by said Google Image search results while I was looking for reference images. I had another, better idea which was more of a musical "jam" but I didn't knew how to put it into practice in the small time limit and without the proper video editing tool (Why Win10 doesn't have Movie Maker is beyond me). The whole picture is eight frames long. Roll and Tron are just 3 frames. This was because of Data. I wanted to add Data for a better image at how the animation would flow and since everybody knows his dance very well I got the idea to put him there for the heck of it and as a reference to animate. I did every character separately as well as the background. I made sure that Tron and Roll would have similar proportions so I drew their first frames together. So I had four images: for the background and the three characters. It was then a matter of making sure that they would be positioned at the exact same spot (I used some guidelines but I think there might be a frame where Data is just ONE PIXEL off, I didn't care) and making sure that each frame connected with the previous and name the files accordingly. This might seem strange but that's because I used GifCam suggested by Chiz in the PM. I opened the first picture and then adjusted the borders of the gifcam. Then all I had to do was press "Rec" and scroll trough the files at a reasonable pace. (the first shot came out wrong because I forgot to remove another unused file from the folder) Geez. This was way too much trouble for as simple as it looks. I really don't know why it took this long to make everything but since I was drawing every character separately and every frame as well, making sure that a different frame wouldn't have anything off from the others... it literally took me a week to do. I don't use my laptop much during the day so I used every chance after dinner. I went to bed a tad little later than usual in the final stage.

I took a look at this years crop and I do like what I see: HF : Yours reminded me a bit of the assignment I got last year (No one uses these, anymore). At the least, Tiesel could find the right buyer and then the Bonne's finances would be back in black. UltraViolet64 : Nothing worse than having to deal with a cold, except when a co-worker has a cold. Methinks Tiesel may end up with either a headache, a cold of his own, or both. MegaTuga : Tron's gonna have a lot of work burning off all those pancakes.... Maybe they should have just gone to Ihop, instead. XD Blyka : Uh oh, the Doom Dredel comes- Volnutt better hope he's fast on his feet, otherwise he'll suffer a humilitaing whupping a la Top Man. Eight Painful Nights. fAB : I keep thinking of "Be Prepared" when I see this one. Though that poor birdbot might have better luck with a few Where's Waldo books than getting positive attention from Loathe. Handlebar-Orion X. : The obligatory ugly sweater gift... funny since last week, we had that at my workplace, and I've seen some pretty ugly ones then. Sera needs to lighten up. XD Space Apollo : Yep. Poor Volnutt really gets the short end of the stick when it comes to digs. All that pain so that Roll could charge up the wazoo for upgrades... Dashe : Oh, how can you deny the cuteness of a puppy? THough it seems after 40 servbots, Tron isn't ready to take on another mouth to feed... and one that poops... Dragge : Somehow, I would not be surprised to see Barrett forgetting Tinker. Hope the little guy can handle servbots. XD Santa Melty : I like how trollish Aero is with that mistletoe. THough I think Glyde would rather kiss a reaverbot in this situation. avianbeauty98: Those poor cops. They will have a hard time trying to cope with a new graveyard shift... nightmares of red lights in the darkness aplenty. # 13? : Hmm, it seems that one is missing... # 14..: This isn't the first time I've gone through this event bereft of what I asked, but it doesn't make it any easier....

HF - Looks to be a very silent rage. MegaTuga - Um, certainly...creative? Is Data fattening them up to eat them? ravenf6 - Pretty much what I expected but still good. I like the look of colored pencils so bonus points to you. Blyka - Not at all what I was expecting but in the best possible way. The Dreidelnaught is too perfect. I want Mega Man Legends: Hanukkah Edition now. fAB - Low-poly stuff has always appealed to me so this probably looks the best to me. I love the fanatical Birdbot too. Makes me wonder - do all the Birdbots have separate personalities like the Servbots? Handlebar-Orion X. - Clearly a perfect gift for Sera. She'd wear it all the time. Space Apollo - Can never have enough money-grubbing Roll. Dashe - I wonder if Teisel ever met Paprika. They'd be best pals. Dragge - That thing has to learn some manners. Or be put on a leash. Santa Melty - Talk about desperate, yeesh. But anyone would do that for Glyde. (I know I would.) avianbeauty98 - Pretty elaborate for a prompt so simple. A great effort.

Merry Christmas, everyone! HF - I'm imagining Bon wandering into Pokte Village and getting swindled by the mayor into buying this for Teisel BECAUSE he knows that Teisel collects toys, the mayor can't get rid of it, and he couldn't answer the 1000-question quiz required to get it for free because none of the answers were "Babu." UltraViolet64 - Maybe I'm biased, but Teisel's my favorite part of this. Especially if it actually happens every day. Ah, allergy season. MegaTuga - I'm not sure what to think of this one. It's pretty awkward that the first thing that popped into my mind was "somewhere out there in the vast barely-charted territories of the internet, someone is going to find this picture indescribably sexy, and it will probably be a troll. Maybe." Any volunteers to toss it on 4chan and see what happens? ravenf6 - This is really cool. If you expanded this further into a short comic, I'd be down to read it! Blyka - Part Giwan, part Gravurwa, part Spirit of the Commercialization of Hannukah. That boss is super boss. If Capcom were to allow it to win a Devroom event, though, I'd have to wonder what they were smoking. Anyway, I do really like the angle you took here. This is without question DEFINITELY how Mega Man would find out Tron celebrated Hanukkah. fAB - Okay, yeah, this was hilarious. The timing was spot on. I agree with everyone who's said you've won Secret Santa so far. Handlebar-Orion X. - Yuna's trolling skills are on fire this year, huh? Sera just doesn't appreciate the value of hard work. Nice job integrating a Christmas theme into a neutral prompt, too. Space Apollo - Of course if there's going to be pay involved, there's going to be Roll involved. Data and Mega Man's interaction really make this piece shine, though. Dragge - Thanks so much! The Data kind of looks like something out of Five Nights at Freddy's. This your first time making animation? Either way, you did awesome going for premium during a year when we decided to try and make it really hard. Well done! Santa Melty - Between Glyde and Barrett, Aero really has some stalking issues with guys who aren't at all interested in her. If she ever got wind of Tron's funny feeling, she'd probably spend about an hour not only explaining it, but gushing about every guy she's ever looked at. I'm sure the explanation would be one minute and the gushing would be fifty-nine minutes. Now you have me wanting to write weird fanfiction about Aero's dad finding out that his daughter is the recipient of roughly seven restraining orders. avianbeauty98 - Congrats on making the deadline! Gotta love timestamps, huh? I was wondering how someone could even take a prompt about secret night life and make it safe for work, but it certainly works. I'm not sure how long they're going to be able to keep it a secret, though. It seems hard to miss.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! I know I have been putting off commenting for the past few times, so I'm going to get it done before getting back to work! UltraViolet64 - I like the simple panelwork you have used for your piece. The Bonnes really should look into investing in a nice Plasmacluster to clean up the air. MegaTuga - Thanks for following-through with another of my ridiculous requests! This looks like the kind of animation you see on those looping TV screens in the games. I am also not in the least detracted from the lack of bees, insect royalty, or insane number of bullets on-screen. ravenf6 - Admit it, Rock was only late because there was treasure on the other corner of the ruins wasn't it? Blyka - "You're history!" "You're TOAST!" Make up your mind, Tron! fAB - Brilliant as always! I like how the low-poly models add to the hilarious situation of your animation. Handlebar-Orion X. - If there's one character that can make the emotionless Sera feel anything, it would be Yuna's antics. Also I wouldn't go anywhere near what looks like a Vava-branded Phone. Space Apollo - Great! Another piece that portrays Rock with underarmor! You see why he can take that one more hit in-game? Dashe - Incredible use of small nuances in timing to make this piece so endearing! So... does Tron let him keep it? Dragge - Barrett is clearly in the wrong here, given it's a no pets allowed vicinity. Santa Melty - I imagine this GIF slowly zooming towards Aero and her smirk. Actually, does it still count as "bad touch" if provoked into doing so? avianbeauty98 - "Night Troopers". I'm stealing this if you don't mind. Also "Witch Air Pirates" sounds like bad news. HF - no use of 5-tone shading, absent highlights, lol cinematic framerate cap, no hi-res option, too much yai, lol lens flare head 1/5 would watch again

Merry christmas everyone!! Hahaha! Geez i where worried i did'nt make in here! But thanks a lot! And i thought speific "high quality" so litterally i warned ya about the file size hahahah! XD
Well dear:
Miomanx: That "dab" where not on purpose i guess... love how tron does it tough! Nice! =D
MegaTuga: Eating lots of fruit jam and cookies from a giant jar.... while data dancin on a pile of big pancakes. Looks like eatable musical preformance here!
ravenf6: Looks like rock came just in right moment to save barrett from being slammed by a reaverbot. Nice drawn!! ;D
Blyka: I have no idea what that functions a hanukkah themed mech has against rock's buster? Anyway it will sure be a wierd fight for vollnutt!
fAB: Is loath that mighty to sit on a throne? Maby..... he is indeed a richman! And that birdbot.... i wonder what glyde would say about this? wow i could make some wierd creative comic stripes about this.... if its okay... and if i have time....
Space Apollo: Roll doesnt get paid enough? I would say rock dosen't get paid enough for raiding all these ruins! Nice idea!
Dashe: Teisel just dosen't see that tron allready as her servbots to take care of.... but its just a puppy so why dont give it to bon or somethin?
Dragge: Nice animation! Really love that servbot in the end. Barret must be too busy dreaming about adventure too notice that tinker is gone!
BBQ Master Melty: Ah so this is how my request turned out! Nice! Aero has to keep on that for a long time.... since glyde is usually all about himself "the beautiness as he thinks!
avianbeauty98: Photoshop is helpful when you wanna trow tons of layers and stuff and get something "big" out of it.. hehe! "Night troopers was an idea i got from ahem "star wars"
HF: That figurine is modelled after the girl from pokte village quiz girls troop. Haha! And capcom used her to make yai from the starforce series. But is that why teisel dosent like it?
Handlebar orion x: Not sure if sera aggrees on that. But i hope she understand its meant as a gift! Love to see them both in something else than their casual outfits btw!

Another SS down. Back pats for everyone who was able to finish, and thanks to Chiz for hosting. As I mentioned to you on Discord, I especially liked the way you did the preview images, it was a nice touch. HF My favorite part of this might actually be the way the tag is wagging. Like it's mocking him. Besides that, very polished coloring job. However, downvoted for implying that collecting figurines of underage anime girls is unmanly. UltraViolet64 This was one of my favorites before I even saw it because of the preview image of the second panel. I have a thing for dumb expressions and every face in this comic tickled me. Paneling is simple but effective. MegaTuga I'm not sure what I would have done with that prompt. It was probably one of the harder ones this year imo. I agree with the choice to go with the literal interpretation of "jam" though, lots of opportunity for silliness. As far as animation, yeah, it can be tricky if you're not familiar with the process, so kudos for trying. Also, I guess drawing Tron making silly faces is the theme this year. ravenf6 As has been mentioned, it is nice to see some traditional stuff in the mix. And I continue to see slow but steady improvement in your drawings, so good on you. I'm sorry you didn't get your request this year... we got you covered next unfulfilled-request premium, though. Blyka Alright, I laughed. See, I've always said that if Hanukkah wants to beat out the Christmas tree in the spectacle factor then they need to scale up a bit. I'm glad we're on the same page. fAB The cinematography is quite good. That is not something I expected to say about a SS submission this year, but there you are. You establish the atmosphere nicely before bringing in the clown, the joke was effective. And I think you pulled off the low-poly look well, the characters all felt expressive despite their limited movement. Only part I thought was a bit awkward was the negative-super-closeup of Loath's face, which felt to me like an overreaction. Especially followed by the face-palm, which made the incident seem more like a minor nuisance that just happens every so often. I'm nitpicking though, great submission. Handlebar-Orion X. This has been a good year for joke entries. I like this, it's silly and feels in-character. Yuna's sweater having the same pattern as her normal outfit was a nice touch. Space Apollo This was another one I liked before even seeing it thanks to the previews. It was a pleasant surprise to find out it was for me. Thanks muchly. Lots of little things to appreciate here visually. I like the slightly older look you've given the characters, and their expressions, and the interpretation of Trigger's under-armor. Dashe Like I said, I'm a sucker for silly faces, so being able to watch Teisel switching between two of them is a treat. And add one more to the silly Tron face tally as well. Dragge Simple but effective. The sequence of events is clear even from the limited frames. Bonus points for being the source of that one unintentionally creepy preview image Chiz made. Santa Melty Dammit, you're still alive. Stop getting everyone's hopes up and just stay gone, nerd. avianbeauty98 Comics are another one of those things that are nice to see in the mix now and then. And Witch Air Pirates sound like the best thing ever, I don't know what HF is on about. On my piece: as usual, it was a bit of a last minute thing. I also had some unexpected technical issues, which didn't help. Still, this is probably one of the more complicated hand-drawn animations I've attempted, as simple as it is. I spent a decent amount of time drawing and redrawing the sleeves and they still don't look right. I'm not dissatisfied with it though. Glad you like it, avianbeauty98 . That's fair criticism. The intended effect was what Raven took away from it: that she's just sort of trolling Glyde. I can see how that may not be clear though.
