Rowlett's gonna be my main. Grass and flying are an interesting combo indeed for a starter, and it's just so adorable! I wanna hug it and brush it's feathers.
And am I the only guy who sees that it has a leaf bow tie? Just looking dapper as all get out?

And am I the only guy who sees that it has a leaf bow tie? Just looking dapper as all get out? Out of the three so far, Rowlett is my favorite design as well. Also definitely a bow tie. On the other hand, if Sun/Moon continues to follow the Chinese Zodiac motif for their Fire starters, I would expect a cool Tiger design for the final evolution of Litten (Fire Kitten).

For the first time in awhile, all of the starters actually look pretty legit in aesthetics. I actually see Litten being less popular than the rest for some reason. Popplio definitely looks like something Buster would like. I wonder how it'll relate to the Seel and Spheal family.
As much as I like the idea of Grass / Flying, I'll throw a vote to Litten.

Popplio definitely looks like something Buster would like. You know me too well. I hope his evolutions look pretty solid, I usually go for the water types and I've never been disappointed. Rowlet is a close second, he reminds me of a particular cartoon: If he doesn't learn Sing by level-up, it'll be a huge missed opportunity!

I also noticed the bow tie. Rowlet is my favorite starter of the three.
Litten reminds me of Litleo. They both are fire cats and both have 'lit' in their names.
To me, Popplio seems to be the least POPular Sun/Moon starter of the group.

I'm taking a rain check on my vote until I can see what they evolve into. Last time I picked a new starter without knowing, it was Piplup, and Empoleon was a real let-down. I'm tempted to go with Litten, but chances are pretty good it might wind up with an awkward second type later.

If it gets any secondary type, it may end up being Dark. That'll be disappointing, since Houndoom has two abilities that majorly outclass Blaze.

Although this isn't a confirmed image yet, it's being leaked all over the place right now. It appears as if firecat and seal don't get any new type traits. This may very likely change in the final evolution, if I were to guess. I have a feeling they're pulling a Charizard.

Rest in peace, 50% of our hope for a quadrupedal Litten final evolution.

So Litten remains quadrupedal, huh? That'd be nice and all, if it weren't for that x4 Water weakness. Other than that, no complaints here outside of the saber-tooth tiger fangs.

Camerupt just got outclassed.
I don't think we have a Water/Fighting type yet, but hopefully that doesn't become a trend for the next three generations.

Out of the starters, zero. Out of everything, two; Poliwrath and Keldeo, both of which you don't see often in competitive play.

Well, Water/Fighting settles it for me, Popplio's my choice!
BTW, someone in the comments section made a good point:
Burrowing owl concept sounds interesting, and I like the idea of Litten remaining a pure fire type. First time it's been done since Typhlosion.
