Seems to me, this forum died in Summer of 2015. I'm STILL replaying these games and I am new to this forum, so I am disappointed to see a lack of activity here. I suppose there isn't much else to discuss right?
MML3 seems like something that will never exist except in the form of a blasphemous fan-creation with mixed- matched textures and fanfic-like dialogue.
Perhaps Capcom still cares, even though MML was a game played primarily by people who are now in their 20's. I fear, however, that a MML3 reboot in 2016 would be a lot like what Spyro eventually became. Re-branded.

A lack of new content makes for a quiet fanbase. Considering how long it's been since we've had anything from Capcom in the Legends department, I would be quite surprised if this forum were more active.
MMLS isn't dead, though; it's as alive as it can be right now.

Unfortunately the lack of new topics for discussion make it hard to keep an active fanbase, at least anything official.
At the moment, I am just doing what I could for MML as part of the community: Keeping the webcomic project going.
Personally, I would like to discuss anything about the Legends series. Let it be their writing systems, cultures and their origins/inspirations in the real-world, the music, economy, etc. Literally anything.

I'd say this forum's far from dead for now. We still share other gaming news and methods with each other, among other things. But it's much like Sybillian said; the Legends department is seeing a lack of updates so we're having a lack of discussion on the subject as a result. Talking about the lack of discussion isn't something that's new to us either. But as far as the lack of overall discussion in itself is concerned, things could be much worse than what they are, I assure you. Legends is a great series, there's no doubt. But just about every nook and cranny has been documented, explored and discussed. We don't mind revisiting those topics from time to time, but it is a lot like going around in circles. But, that doesn't mean revisiting is a bad thing. Nothing's ever stopping you from making your own thread if you need advice, help, or feedback on a subject! And ultimately, even something as simple as hitting the like button on a post helps us tell each other that we appreciated what they contributed and helps avoid spam. That's activity in itself.

I'm getting busier in real life. That's my excuse. I don't even have much time for games anymore. I bet there was a lot of activity around the time Legends 3 was announced though!

I must confess, I was a MAJOR fan of MML1, but I never got around to playing part 2. I am playing it now via emulator. With updated graphics.
So for me, I still have a lot to explore and discover.
Does anyone know how close to completion that TLT fan game is? I see updates, but it's hard to get a feel for how complete the game is.
I was surprised to get replies so quickly. I guess you all are right.

From what I see, fAB and the team are taking it slow and steady. It's been a little while since the last update, but it already looks like there's a fair share of content in the blog that I haven't read through (or at least don't remember reading through) yet if that tells you anything. Most of the time if there's something big going on, they post here in the forum. fAB or Blyka can probably give you a better idea than I could on that subject though. If you tag somebody using the @ symbol and the name they used to register to the forum, they'll see your post in a notification much like a PM and are more likely to respond in-thread if you need them.

We do get a lot of discussions, thing is keeping enough to have them going. I recall opening several threads to then realizing that after two/three replies that there's not enough to expand on them. But that's my mistake anyway, I still come here nearly everyday after all so I can safely say that yes, it had better days but it is NOT dead.

Yeah, I still come on here quite a bit myself, and I didn't even post at first because I was nervous to respond for a while. I'm only a casual fan of Legends anyway, but it was nice to see people caring when Capcom gave fans the short end of the stick with the MML3 thing.

2015? It died in 2006, of course...and then again in 2011 when MML3 was cancelled... Of course, it got back up between its hammy, overacted deaths each time, but still, this is not the first time the forum has been given its final rites. Really, it just means that we've overdue for the next wave of members to come in and fill the ranks. Perhaps we could do a bit more in terms of forum/community activities. The Dragon Romper and Escape/Nonary Game streams Kyle put on are probably a good template for what we ought to be looking to do. Maybe a community Minecraft server or something.

Also weekend iScribble sessions. I know I'll be on Saturday Morning (Japan Time).

Does anyone know how close to completion that TLT fan game is? I see updates, but it's hard to get a feel for how complete the game is. I'll just be up front and say "completion" is still very, very far away. Various aspects of the project are at differing stages of completion, so while things like the game's soundtrack are doing great, the engine is still at basics. But the important thing is we're still working, at least every Tuesday (reported on Twitter) and sometimes more if we find the time. Persistence always has been our greatest creative attribute. And hey, if the infamous Mega Man X Corrupted fangame is still in development since... gosh, it's so old I can't even track down its start date--at least 2008, but I think it goes back a lot farther. If it's still in development after all this time then there's hope for TLT yet.

I can agree with that. Game development takes quite a while, especially with smaller teams. There's also the different stages to go through, such as concepts, programming, test runs... I've gone through it more than enough times to know.

Obviously this forum just gets really quiet whenever my life gets busy. Once I get some serious money from robbing an animal hospital I can hire a ghostwriter and we'll never have to worry about inactivity again.

My chef gig keeps me from doing most of the things I love to do anymore, which is ironic because I became a chef because I loved all things culinary! Hopefully when Red Ash gets another big update we might have more to discuss—I need to take my brain off food preparation and proper sanitary measures, and allergies, and...and...I don't wanna talk about it anymore.
