Both a game and an anime! Yes! Hmm. "Diggers" become "Delvers," the "Great Legacy" (translation of the Japanese term for "Mother Lode") becomes the "Legendary Legacy," and it looks like "we" (the players) will be working for the Bonnes... I mean "Bones" now! The Teiselganger's name is Tyger, he is "30 something" an excellent marksman, and a member the cofounder of Beck's Delver team(T&B Company). I like your term "Teiselganger" . I still want to see how his name is spelled in Japanese. Strangely, I was unable to find any info about RED ASH in Japanese other than "project was launched" and the like... He will be a playable character and will offer a different experience from Beck. This is one of the possible stretch goals, right? Call C. Bones? I'm curious about what that "C." in the middle stands for. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be some word playing a pun on "Caskett" . Also, in this story Call is much much MUCH more obviously money obsessed.... it's part of her general theme in fact. She makes certain every penny is used to its best value. Call is basically a combination of Tron and Roll in that regard. I'd mention that too. The character info also says that her parents disappeared. By "an almost mischievous sense of freedom," I take that actions like kicking animals and intentionally causing property damage (like destroying Kattelox's vending machines) will be back. I wonder what they meant by "village reconstruction system." Quite an ambitious project. I hope they manage to pull it off! I've never pledged for anything before, but this project is tempting me. I want the soundtrack. If at least the US Dollar weren't so expensive around here right now, maybe...

Aiyumi: If your talking about Tyger his name is spelled "タイガー" or "Taigaa" I like everything I've read so far, the characters, setting, world and story are a complete ripoff of legends, which is totally ok! Also, Call is going to be really obsessed with money just like Nami from One Piece. And I love Nami! On a sad note: Now that there is an official spiritual successor from legends, there's no reason for me to create my own spiritual successor I've imagined once, the hero was going to be named "Dash" XP

@rockman Striker There's no reason not to either. @aiyumi On the subject of comparisons, 'Bonne' is pronounced identical to 'Bone' in Japanese. Beck's design is a rehash of a rejected concept art from DASH3 devroom: (Notable differences, Beck is red. Beck actually looks cool this way. Beck is not drawn in MML style.)

To commemorate our king, Mr. Keiji Inafune I decided to whip up something awesome on the "support Mega Man!" Miiverse community. So this will whiz by when you're winning as or with megaman. That's amazing. I never could figure out how people draw such great things in such a tiny space. Thanks! Took me about 45 minutes or so to draw Keiji's new creations reaching out for a handshake with their Cap-cousins.

So the main characters of this kickstarter also happen to be Beck and Call. I guess old habits will follow no matter where you take your business practice. Either that, or Inufane did it with the intention of making it even more blatantly obvious that this is the Legends equivalent of Mighty No. 9. I wonder what will be the X series equivalent. If this project goes through successfully (which I'm sure it will), Inufane might just try it. I could honestly see that as his next project, and this is his attempt to create a microcosm of the Megaman Timeline as he would want to tell it.

I am pretty sure Azure Striker Gunvolt is supposed to be kind of a MMX game.
I sent email detailing Red Ash with links and stuff to Kotaku and Polygon, as well as some of the very first Red Ash fan art courtesy of Legends Station
Why don't you guys help out by emailing your favorite gaming sites about the Red Ash kickstarter? There are many gaming sites that have yet to say anything about it so we need to get the word out!
The goal is $800,000 and it is already at $185,000 after one day! 29 days to go!
Anyway here is the great fanart from the MMLS iscribble.net session last night. We will be on there again tonight if anyone wants to join in.

EDIT: Kotaku just put out a story on it!

The goal is $800,000 and it is already at $185,000 after one day! 29 days to go! They'll probably triple up their goal like they did with Mighty No. 9, so I'm not concerned about that figure, personally. With any luck, some of the stretch goals will allow the game to be produced on multiple platforms, since there's people crying in Protodude's comments on the Red Ash article about it being PC-only, even though it's only been revealed for less than a week.

I can't believe something like this managed to pull me back. Quite frankly I'm hyped for it, though it has been quite awhile.
Here's hoping Keiji's project goes well.

Right now it's just important that it hits that $800,000 goal. I would love all that extra stuff but we need that at least so he can make the Red Ash prototype. Anyway guys if you have the time seriously consider sending out more emails to game sites. The kotaku page has a bunch of people who have donated now that may not have otherwise so we need as many possible backers to see this as soon as they can. Polygon hasn't posted one yet but Polygon and Kotaku always rip each other off so I'm sure they will follow soon. The total is now at $205,000. Also good to see you Trege!

They didn't sensor that well enough... I can still read some of it. It'll take some time to sort out though. That is all.

Not-Tron actually looks more like Roll than Call does, It'll be interesting to see the role the two have. If Not-Tron ends up being Beck's sister I'm just going to die of laughter.

She looks like some of tron's early concept art. You can find that on Reploid Research Lavatory.

Still browsing around and trying to find more info... According to Siliconera, some of the known staff members for the game project are: Aiyumi: If your talking about Tyger his name is spelled "タイガー" or "Taigaa" Hi, Rockman Striker! Yes, I meant Tyger. Thank you for the spelling! Nothing in common with his Legends counterpart (in English his name at least starts with a "T" ). Today I've finally found a Japanese news article (couldn't find the spelling for Gofer, though ). Except for Tyger (and probably Gofer), the only difference between the Japanese spellings for the other names (or at least the ones imported from Mighty no. 9) is just one letter: - Rock (ロック, Rokku) => Beck (ベック, Bekku)
- Roll (ロール, Rooru) => Call (コール, Kooru)
- Bonne (ボーン, Boon) => Bones (ボーンズ, Boonzu)
- Teisel (ティーゼル, Tiizeru) => Tyger (タイガー, Taigaa) (nothing in common)
We still need to learn Not-Tron's name. I was looking through their Japanese Twitter, and found two tweets saying that Call's voice actress in the trailer is Asami Seto, and Tyger's voice actor is Hochuu Otsuka. I couldn't find anything on the voice actors for Beck and Gofer . One of the rewards for the anime kickstarter is the right to vote for the protagonists' voice actors. Since the trailer has voices, I had thought this had already been defined... Could it mean that the voices will be different for the anime and the game, or that the trailer's voices are temporary? I like the voices from the Trailer , so having them change would feel weird...

Aiyumi: Gofer is actually named "シャイン" which could be pronounced "Shain" like in the word "shine" or maybe that last character is a "so" and not an "n"... Beck's seiyuu is called Yuki Kaji. Speaking of Beck, I can't say I like his design, a true Anime hero must have a cool hairstyle! Or at least a cool helmet.

Speaking of Beck, I can't say I like his design, a true Anime hero must have a cool hairstyle! Or at least a cool helmet. I kinda agree. I wish they could've made his hairstyle look a bit more like Rock's, but they were obviously being careful with that. Maybe Beck will at least get a helmet of his own. His hair looks a lot like helmet hair the way it is. It could definitely be spikier, at the very least.
