I'm not active on these forums anymore, but I had to come back here so I could have people to celebrate this amazing and super awesome news! We're back in business, with or without Capcom!

It's been awhile since I've been on as well, but I am also super stoked. I hope it is what I think it is. If you re-arrange the spelling some you get Re(dAsh) - The incredible legend. Lots of shared motiffs with Legends (pirate skull for one). Hmm where's my wallet.

I was super stoked when I saw this on Siliconera just now! Could it be? Peace New Megaman Legends within our lifetime? Great news from out of nowhere!

It's worth mentioning that it teases Studio 4°C at the end. They're an animation studio. I'm hoping this means it's a game with animated cutscenes; otherwise it could mean this isn't a game at all. Inafune wouldn't tease us with this if it wasn't a game, though, right?
More information is coming on July 4, during Anime Expo.

When I heard of this, I had this mental image of Inafune taking a page out of Lupin III- leaving a calling card and audacious challenge with this. XD I'm hoping the news is good.

RED ASH. Starring Michael Ceraman, Black Roll Caskett, and Teisel 'Mon. And the cute baby cousin of Captain N's Megaman. This project indeed looks promising, and it's in record time too! Within the course of what? 2? 3 years? We have a spiritual successor to classic/regular Megaman in Mighty No.9, (with legends 3 style crowd-development and an almost Powered Up! look,) a spiritual successor to Megaman X in Azure Striker Gunvolt, with a sequel on the way I believe, a successor to the 8-bit style Megaman in Mighty Gunvolt, and now a spiritual successor to Megaman Legends in RED ASH. That's pretty impressive work! Maybe Inafune can make spiritual successors to his non-Megaman work like Lost Planet and Dead Rising. But baby steps. We're back in business, with or without Capcom! And Cleve, should Megaman Legends 3 come back, I hope that neither you nor some other fans I've seen will just up and turn your noses at MML3 should it ever get revived. No matter how little faith you have in Capcom, (and I'm not expecting you to buy everything they have,) you gotta put your money where your mouth is.

I'm supposed to be on vacation now but dropped in because of this. I'm cautiously optimistic and definitely hoping for a game over an animated series.

To commemorate our king, Mr. Keiji Inafune I decided to whip up something awesome on the "support Mega Man!" Miiverse community. So this will whiz by when you're winning as or with megaman.

After I read about that recent talk about Inafune's feelings toward Legends (even though they were talking about another game), then his teasing of a "special announcement" at Anime Expo, I had a hunch that something Legends-related would be coming... And it did... But we still have too little information about it. For now, all I can say for sure is that I like the small bits of voice acting from the trailer. And it looks like it'll have Legends references and parodies all over the place. I like this kind of thing too. Just the voice acting and the gags are often enough to make me want a game (even if I know I'll be horrible at playing it )... Well, if it'll be even a game to begin with. I'm hoping it'll be either a game with animated cutscenes, or a series with both an anime and a game, or a game with a special animated episode (like Irregular Hunter X's "Day of Sigma"), or something like that. Let's wait for the announcement at Anime Expo and see what comes out.

Here's a screen grab from the video. Not-Tron, anyone?

I'm a bit more interested in the fact that the Teisel-doppelganger appears behind Ash, as an ally of sorts. And the Tron-doppelganger is absent from that art piece. Curious.

So, any idea at what time the joint panel at Anime Expo will start? Because I'm not wanting to wait in line only to be too late.
