I promised myself I wouldn't resort to making another fangame thread. But damnit, nobody I talk to understands half of what I talk about. At least here I have an audience that can be on the same page. With that rant out of the way, I present the conception thread for...
MegaMan Skyborne: The Next Generation Arises (Title subject to change)
This title will be a Classic fangame that brings new life to concepts from previous titles. Methods of creation may come from Game Maker 8 or similar programs. As far as development goes, I am able to make base concepts, but because of my terrible indecisiveness, will require feedback from you guys to make this a balanced quality title. So, who's with me on this one?

Sure, I guess. But your description sounds very generic. I would enjoy more details. xP

Well, the story is somewhat straightforward.
A.R.T.S. convention of 20XX. Many genius minds from all around the world attended to showcase their work. One of them was Dr. Aeroica, who has brought with him eight Robot Masters of his own creation. All was well, until... "Nyeh-heh-heh! Thank you for the new robots, Doctor. I'll remember to mention your work once the world is mine!" "Curses! How could we just let this happen?" "Don't worry, Dr. Aeroica. I'll stop Wily's plans!" And so, our hero sets off on another quest to put an end to Dr. Wily's schemes. Go, MegaMan! Take to the skies!
With that, it's mostly like any other MegaMan game, save for a few new features such as two different shops, critical patterns, and a Powered Up-esque Robot Master Run.
On the topic of these new RMs, please welcome the Aero-Shay Numbers featured here. Nova Man, Frigid Man, Brawl Man, Rumble Man, Uni Woman, Hunts Man, Salvo Man, and Mach Man!

I may be able to help with this, depending on what you need.

At the moment, I could use feedback on the following items from the shops, as well as four more ideas to finish the list. So far, only two people had previously taken time to hear the same list, but gave no opinion outside of "sounds cool." Aero-Shay Workshop (Standard Shop) Run by Rico, it's essentially MM7, 9, and 10's Light Labs for this title. Items sold are rather standard. 1-Up, E-Tank, W-Tank, M-Tank, Eddie Call Energy Balancer, Beat Whistle, Shock Guard, Charge Buster, [Obligatory Cosmetic] Angel's Basement (Upgrades Shop) The second shop accessed by selecting the "Move" option in the Aero-Shay Workshop. Acts identical to the MM8 Light Labs in that its currency is limited to 40 hidden Ceratanium Bolts, and you can only purchase up to eight items from the list. Energy Saver: Reduces Weapon Energy usage by 50% Energy Amplifier: Increases energy pickups by 50% Energy Divider: Energy Balancer extention that distributes 50% of weapon energy to all weapons Energy Converter: Energy Balancer extention that turns weapon energy to life energy if all weapons are full Rush Brawl Adaptor: Access to a range of melee attacks Rush Blast Adaptor: Access to powerful charge shots Tango Leap Adaptor: Access to a headbutting super jump Tango Dash Adaptor: Access to a trailblazing dash Beat Shield Adaptor: Blocks out projectiles Beat Barrier Adaptor: Blocks out contact damage [ ] [ ] [ ] Critical Drive: At less than 8 HP, damage dealt increases by 50% Rush Archive: Access to the previous 80+ Special Weapons

M-Tank? What's that...?
How are you going to obtain currency in this game?

The M-Tank appeared in MegaMan 5, 9, and 10, as well as in 7 as the S-Tank. It works as a cure-all, restoring all Life and Weapon Energy in one go. Only one can be carried at a time.
Regular Bolts will be either commonly dropped randomly by enemies or occasionally found on the ground. As for Ceratanium Bolts, they will be hidden across the eight stages, often out of reach or sight without the use of certain Weapons or Utilities.

Seems like a good idea to me. Do you think tanks should be renewable?

Define renewable. If you mean there will be an infinite supply available given the player keeps collecting Bolts, then yes.
Back to the topic of other items, is anyone still out there to give feedback or ideas?
