Much to Mega Man's surprise, and despite their loud running and Roll's enthusiasm, they made it to the elevator panel without the reaver attacking them.
There was only one button on it, glowing green near the bottom of the panel.
Gramps spoke through the radio just then, "Mega, I've got some info about the reaver in there with you. The scanner indicates that it's likely rather limber, designed to plant its feet into the ground to push that wall and keep intruders out. I'm also not picking up any weapons on it, if anything, it'll only attack you up close, though you know that a reaver's body can be just as deadly as its weaponry."
Just then, a loud clanking sound echoed through the tower. The eye of the reaver lit up in darkness at the far end of the room, and it began moving steadily towards them. It hovered around eight feet above the ground, and moved left and right with each clank, presumably swaying with each step the bot took. Whatever this bot looked like, it was tall.

"Well Megaman, this is it! What should we do? Fight or retreat?!" asked Roll, holding her buster up to the reaver in the distance just in case it decided to try any funny moves.

Mega Man looked from the Reaverbot to the elevator button and back. It seemed to be moving pretty quickly and hitting it in the dark would probably be tough. And even though it didn't seem to be armed directly, he didn't want to see Roll get hurt. If he were on his own, or if it were lighter in the room, it would be different, but for now taking the safer route seemed like a better idea. "Let's see where the elevator leads," he replied as he pushed the button in front of them.
