I have been recently having a lot of issues accessing mmls.proboards.com from my netbook and Android phone. Usually I have to leave a tab open to access the forums at all, because if I try to connect, it'll send me to a page claiming I have a virus. I don't have any other signs of having a virus, and I also don't think there would be a virus that affects both Windows and Android in the same way. This also happens sometimes if I try to reply to a thread. I'll run a scan with MalwareBytes, but I think this could be an issue with Proboards. I forgot to capture any screens, but I'll grab some next time it happens and update this post.

How interesting. I haven't had any such problems. On a machine, phone, or otherwise.

Possibly a phishing scam to convince you have a virus so that you, out of fear of having a virus, will download a virus to combat the virus you supposedly have. I've had this kind of crap attempted on me every so often when I browse DevART without logging in first, and I'm not falling for any of it anytime soon. Besides, if you truly did have a virus, you certainly wouldn't be notified this way by any kind of legitimate antivirus measures.

Well ya see you spelled it wrong, the image shows "probards" which is a different site, and thats why you got redirected.
Whenever you enter mml or a few characters in the address bar, the browser will automatically try to finish the web address by itself, so since you entered the entire address wrong once it happened again.

Hah, I didn't even notice the misspelling.
Removing Proboards from carrying us has been a topic of discussion in the past, but generally, people have found that it's just much simpler to leave things to Proboards in the event that something under the hood goes seriously wrong one day. I don't remember the gist of the conversation, but I think pretty much the only thing that would go away would be the ads and the "proboards" tag in the URL. So it hasn't been enough to make a fuss over.

Oh, thank you so much for solving that. I'm not sure what's going on with my phone then, but it hasn't happened so much recently. If it does happen, though, I'll let you know if I can't solve it.

Yeah I used to do it too and it rustled my jimmies a few times. I spelt proboards as "probaords" so it was a little less noticable

Try to download Firefox Browser on your android, once you open the app, you'll see a plug-ins section under tools or something similar, I recommend you to install one called ad-block, that will prevent the browser from redirecting you to those nasty scam sites. If you still have problems try downloading the proboards app from the playstore, it's not free, and it's not as cool looking as the desktop site's skins but it's add free and it's easier to navigate.
