| What is "Megaman Legends: Reaverbot Beatdown!"? Megaman Legends: Reaverbot Beatdown! is a Megaman Legends Fan game but this is not an adventure game. MLRB will be like a survival game where you have to kill all the reaverbots that will appear on the level to go to the next.
The controls for this game will be similar to the official MML games. The player can run forward, backward, to the left, or to the right and the camera will only turn if the mouse is moved on the X-axis. Because of the cancellation of Megaman Legends 3, we considered using Barrett as the main character. Unlike Megaman, Barrett has Melee, Sprint, and Wall Run. We will be implementing these abilities in MMLRB. Like the official games, killing reaverbots will give you refractors (Zenny) which you can use to buy special weapons and upgrade your buster. We are currently in an early stage and still fixing some basic setup with the Unity3d engine. Updates will be posted here and on our website. by tutsyroll and maximize |

Updates have been a bit late since we are now working on some technical stuff on Unity3d. On the v0.1 release, there are many animation problems. Sometimes, the shooting animation gets stuck when you let go of the fire button. There are also some glitches with the movement system. With Unity's tutorial video on mecanim, we've tried it out and had really great results. Here is a video showing the new movement. For now, it's just Run and Jump animations. We'll work on the shooting animation next.

It looks good so far! I see you have the same problem as me, the transition between backward running and idle animations, the upper part of the body and legs turn on diferent directions, it's just a split second but it can be really annoying every time it happens, I guess you're rotating the character on the animations because that's how I got that problem too.

Neat, I'm always up for some reaverbot fighting action! I hope Barrett will be able of lifting enemies since I've always liked to do so.

Rockman Striker, do you have an eagle's eye? I didn't see that animation bug unless I put it on slow motion! Maybe we'll leave it for now since it's a really small detail but maybe we can fix it in Unity. Rockxas, I never thought of the lifting ability and that's a really great idea! We'll try it out Here's a screen shot of the Bakery in Teomo City. It's not finished yet. As you can see on the screen shot from MML3, there's still another floor level. We're going to model it separately since many buildings in MML3 has this similar 3rd floor. Also, we made changes with some stuff. First is the windows. We textured it in a straight position since having windows diagonally looks awkward. On the side, there's suppose to be 6 windows but we decreased the number to 4. Also, we made the big window on the first floor simple since it's really hard to texture it the way the original looks. Also, it's really hard to see the bakery sign but we made it as close as possible. Still a lot more buildings to go!
edit: I almost forgot! If you are willing to help us finish teomo city, it would be great if you give us references on different areas especially the buildings.

Nah, it's just that I was using really slow transition animations when starting my game, that's how I found that bug, I saw it so many times that It's now kind of an automatic reaction XP I actually solved that problem by rotating the character object as a whole, instead of rotating the objects via animations.

Rockman Striker , we decided to change the transition speed of the animation so that we wouldn't see any leg jiggling. New building (located somewhere in the center of the city):

Sorry if it's taking me too long to texture Teomo city. It's a bit hard for me. Doing my best to make it look good. Here is my progress.

So is Teomo going to be one of the battle arenas, then? Do you have plans for other locations to fight Reaverbots, too?

For now, maybe it's just Teomo city. We decided to finish a playable build first so that we would get some feedback. Another reason for having just Teomo city for now is that we only have 2 months left before our College classes starts. Maybe there would be updates in the future and we'll have more arenas. In our blog, you can see a small, octagonal arena. Maybe we'll add that too!

I think that one was supposed to be a bus stop. Not too sure. They did have buses rolling around.
