Correct. Lava might be a bit tricky though, unless its built to withstand extreme heat. not completely impossible, Ride Armor technology had done it before.
You know, thinking of it here and now...you might need upgrades for the motohorse in order to use it on more extreme terrains. Those vehicles wont come cheep on its own alone....and the average one probably isn't built for more extreme stuff. Seems like a good reason to grind for Zenny. (Roll, eat your heart out)

I really wish there was high quality video footage of these things in action, could have sworn it had two thrusters. I'm thinking perhaps those little fins on the sides might be how it can get airborne, could be part of the maglev system.

I feel that the fins could be a little small for that kind of function...plus in this picture they're bent. Unless your talking about a different part that I don't see. The powered combustion would be the most important part...possibly a bit air based as well? By air, I mean like this. The use of air and energy based flight could work together hand in hand.

I'd imagined those fins were what you'd step on to adjust your altitude. Push forward with your feet to go up, push backward to go down, or maybe vice versa, and you'd twist the handlebars toward or away from you to accelerate or brake.

Here I drew up a little illustration here to help explain, the fins (red part) would give off the magnetic waves and enable vertical movement via levitation. Didn't really mean like actual wings that produce lift, sorry if it read that way. Still getting the hang of this english. The controls from what we've seen thus far seem to be just the handlebars and bars on the back there (blue parts). I think sticking your foot onto the fins would make for one wild ride and probably your insurance going through the roof. That hovering this could also work, I do believe that is how the ride chasers work from the X series. I do wonder where the hovering thing would be located on the motorhorse, maybe the back end? I also wonder why that 8bit remake of the prototype doesn't have Max driving while Barret is fighting The Anti-Rider Crusader 1.

Hrm, thats a good alternative to have the vehicle could possibly work...its a bit of a mystery still though. If he had some idea what the fins were for officially, then maybe it would clue us in. As for where the hovering device would be located...I am unsure. Hence why I mentioned the Sirius Ride Chaser. Where its hovering device is located is rather unknown...and there no large round plate or wide spots underneath to indicate any device for it unlike other rider chasers..both older and newer models. Then again, the Adion and the unnamed Ride Chaser from X7 also have no open hovering plates. So maybe we can compare to these models as well: Im guessing the Adion has it on the bottom (EDIT: front AND bottom/back....forgot about how it boosts forward) while the X7 chaser has it on the rear and front. But one has to wonder if X7's does something similar to Avegodro 's theory...so either idea could carry over to the Motorhorse. Now heres a thought: Could the sound of the vehicle give any hints towards its primary way of flight? The Adion certainly has the "airy" wisping sound to it to fit with the hover engine theory, for example. Any thoughts on the Motorhorse? I think it may difficult to judge due to video quality, but its worth the thought....

www.youtube.com/watch?v=X34X0pA_mgY&feature=youtube_gdata_playerJudging from this clip, the motorhorse can thrust up a small height to jump and also go down slowly, but it doesn't seem it can go airborne at will, maybe at early stages of development it was able to fly but it seems they cut that mechanic on the prototype...
