Heya, gang. Anybody here who happens to be an artist, loves drawing Mega Man stuff, and always wanted the creator of the Mega Man franchise to see his work? Welp, I've got something neat for ya here! At the end of the month, GMOTM is going to be meeting with Keiji Inafune, Father of Mega Man, who will be appearing at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington, for an interview. We'll be asking him some general questions and whatnot (since he's limited to what he can say in regards to the Mega Man franchise itself), but most importantly, at the end of the interview, we'll be presenting him with a special artbook containing fan-art from our supporters all over the world. We think this will be a terrific way to show off the passion of our community to Inafune, and also an outstanding opportunity to thank the man for everything he's given us! We are currently accepting fan-art by email via: keijisubmissions@gmail.com Additional rules and guidelines can be found in our latest note.
The deadline for art submissions is August 25 at 11:59pm PST, so if you're interested in contributing some art to this collage, you have just a little over two weeks to do so. In addition, we're also currently taking questions for the interview on our page, as well; so even if you're not an artist, you still may be able to get involved with this one way or another.

Are you accepting images of second characters such as Yuna and Sera? It will be such an honor to show the man I love (in a respectful way, of course XP) my work on my little fan game. 3d artwork would add a bit of spice to that collage isn't?

I think secondary characters should be fine! Same goes for 3D artwork.

I don't think they would care much for my "art". Of course if anyone would wanna help me pixel something I'd always be glad. Since if we actually filled an 8.5x11 page, it would be pretty impressive. Since he doesn't work for capcom I'd guess there would be a lot of questions he couldn't answer that get asked

Since he doesn't work for capcom I'd guess there would be a lot of questions he couldn't answer that get asked true enough but think about the questions he CAN now answer because he's not a part of Capcom... for instance things like the direction he always wanted the series to go, but capcom didn't like, and such... that kind of thing.

I am so in on this. Gonna try to submit two pieces.
Does the piece need to be portrait (longways up and down) or can it be landscape (longways left to right)?

Well I submitted my bit... It didn't quite fill 8.5x11 since it was a bit square... I hope 8.5x8.3 is acceptable.

Hmm.. My art's more traditional, but I have been thinking to do more of the MM variety. I know one idea that comes to mind, but I don't know how the execution of it will go. If I can come up with a work in time, than I'll see about adding it to the collage.

EVERYBODY PLEASE HELP. We have till midnight tomorrow to show Inafune our passion! Look through all the art on the Legends Station main page, the forum art page, and iscribble. Please make sure your favorites have not been posted here already. Thanks!
UPDATE: looks like its only 2 images per person so I guess that makes picking the best MMLS art a bit tougher! Make sure you credit the original artist in the email!

Welp, that concludes the art/question-drive! Thanks to everyone here who participated! After Inafune's panel at PAX, we, along with a couple other sites (such as The Mega Man Network and Destructoid) will meet with Inafune at his hotel room for an interview. Once the interview has completed, we will present Inafune with our collage. Unfortunately, there won't be any livestreaming available, but we have been assured that all the activities will be recorded on video by Mark's team for you guys to check out later. Oh, and on the topic of PAX Prime and Inafune, Mark has also given us the okay to bring our rocket to Inafune's panel; so, if you happen to be at PAX at that time, definitely look out for it! www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=505538292853750&set=a.149346488472934.36493.149316248475958&type=1&theater

So depressed that I wasn't able to submit anything. My computer was being wonky, so I couldn't even start on a piece. Feels like I missed a once in a lifetime opportunity. Was gonna introduce Inafune to TLT, too...

I'm not sure mine went through, but I submitted some art before the deadline. With about four hours to spare, at that. Not my best stuff, but eh, it gave me an excuse to draw some Legends characters outside of iScribble.
