Sorry for the late reply, I've been kinda busy! I'll leave the music format entirely in the hands of the respecive music composer/programmer. Anyone of those guys should have a better knowledge of that than me And this guy should ring some bells as well:

umm... is it a red bass, cloaked protoman, old man zero or crashman ashamed of his lack of hands?
Also, looking good, though Megaman's eyes look a bit tired/worried and I can't read the text (if there is an option to turn off interpolation or whatever for text in the program you use that would be good)

Alright, here are some more sprites of him, including an unmasked one! Yeah he's kind of a gruff veteran digger, obviously specialized in explosives, he even has a kickass eyepatch!

^_^ Here's a tiny concept of a simple Reaverbot exploding and leaving some shiny loot!

Been looking at this here and there, must say that its kept my interest so far. Especially for a fan game. The Crashman Digger Rival is especially amusing here...Can't wait to see where this goes!

Thanks, sadly I've been occupied with a few other projects and haven't been able to focus on this one, but I hope this sketch of Legends Crashman makes up for some of it! And here's an pixel image of some of the cast:

So, I see you went with a classic rockman aesthetic... I don't know where you are on the programming side of this, but if you want to capture that classic rockman platforming feel as well, this should be useful to you, it contains a list of mechanics studied and explained from the original NES games: tasvideos.org/GameResources/NES/Rockman.htmlAnd since jumping in itself is an important mechanic, probably more important than any other, here's a page that explains a jump mechanic from a different series, but one that has always been at the peak of 'just feeling right' info.sonicretro.org/SPG:JumpingI hope some of this helps in some way.

Thanks a lot, I've yet to net a programmer, but ofcourse it being a Megaman game, jumping is one of the most important mechanics, in this game probably even more then in the actual Legends game (because you don't have strafing here, so there will be more emphasis on jumping for platforming/attacking/evading).
I haven't really been able to work on it lately due to some payed assignments, but just remember I don't plan to cancel or forget about this project anytime soon. I should probably get to spriting a few more Reaverbots, and hope that a capable level builder/designer will present itself some day soon (you might have seen the concept sketches I did, but I haven't made any tiles or whatever besides what you see in my mock-up screenshots).
Megaman himself is all but finished, sprite-wise, the only thing he might still need are some more special weapons in various angles (when you use them in conjunction with targeting; the idea is you can shoot at an angle if the player-enemy placement requires it).
Mr. Foetus is still my top choice for music, I keep listening to is BAKEMONO album, it's also great spriting music!
So that's about the status of the project on my end, I do have a pretty nice sketch of the first island that you crashland on after the prologue dungeon mission (which, I want to stress, is all I want to focus on until we have a decent game running, before expanding on greater things), but in a map-like drawing. Converting these maps into actual 2d environments will be quite a challenge as well, I hope to get some help on that aspect! The dungeons will be a lot easier since I already drew them 2d-like, from the side.
