(I thought Data was Megaman Trigger... which is not entirely wrong but it isn't right either) Now I want to see a game where you're running around as a man-sized Data, while a small Volnutt takes his place as the save station/energy recharge/info. Wth the dance and everything. Someone needs to mod the game and do this. My life would be complete...ly confusing.

When I saw my brother beat this, (Yes, I'm stuck on Juno. No I don't have the Shining Laser.) I felt extremely ripped off. Why, you ask? Because we have the N64 version, which removes the amazing credits sequence and replaces it with scrolling text and the music that plays inside the hospital.

!?!? You haven't seen it? I liked the ending but I won't tell you anything to avoid spoiling it. Of course if you wanted to see it on the PS1 version there are plenty of youtube videos that can show you.

I first played the Legends games only 4 months ago, though I did Misadventures of Tron Bonne first and then Legends 1 followed by Legends 2. Let's just say that I got...pretty invested. Despite all the frustration with the controls, I really fell in love with all the characters and the story. The ending in the first game with everyone on Kattelox Island waving goodbye had me on the verge of tears and made me feel so warm inside. It was the first time in a long while that I had felt so in love with a game. (Legends 2 made me depressed as I had realized that there was nothing left after it.)

I pretty much got a warm and cuddly feeling when I finished the game. I was the obsessive gamer type I would listen at every door just to get the most out of my games. I'm pretty sure I did the same in Paper Mario as well, talking to every NPC between chapters/story events for any dialogue differences. I remember that girl with the green shirt after you beat Tron's Frog Robot, I think if you answer yes or no to her question the camera pans down with "smooch smooch" or something of the sort. I'd have to check again, but that was rather embarrassing because the living room TV was the only one I could play video games on at the time.
So you can imagine what the comments of the people watching were, it was either my eldest sister, or my youngest sister that commented on it, or her friend Jessy. Jessy also called Bon "Some kind of Pokemon thing." which was pretty much her exact words.
(I may have to go find that scene again just to make sure I'm not insane or anything.)
When it said "To be continued." I was pretty happy though that memory is pretty fuzzy currently. I first saw Legends 2 at a store, and begged my dad to get it, but we didn't have the money at the time. The sad thing is when I eventually got Legends 2 sometime afterwards Jessy sat on the disc, and it cracked because being the dumb young kid I was at the time I left it on either a chair or the couch.

Let's see... This game was released in 1999, so I was sixteen and came out at just the right time when anime was getting mainstream popularity on Cartoon Network with new DBZ and Gundam Wing. I remember enjoying a lot of things about it and not really understanding whether it was a reboot or sequel deal at the time since my Mega Man fan-ness was only in the still great X series at the time.
It filled a gap as one of the better third-person action games on a system that didn't have too many of them. I mean, compare this to the rather mundane gameplay of Metal Gear Solid, for instance.
And then the idiot I was, I didn't pick up MML2 when it came out because Mega Man games would always be available. At least I finally picked the thing up for the PS3 digitally after the fact.
Edit: And then I realized this thread was over three years old.
