This is a general discussion thread for anything and everything relating to Tuttle's Legendary Travels. Comments, questions, analysis, speculation- whatever you'd like to say about the project can be said here (unless it's directly concerning an in-progress Event, in which case that Event's thread would be more appropriate).

As promised in my cancellation post for Tuttle's Little 5-Island Adventure, here is the topic for my next project.
What is Tuttle's Legendary Travels?
Tuttle's Legendary Travels (TLT) is a new 3D Mega Man Legends fan game project, to be developed with Unity.
As with TL5IA it will be developed by myself and fAB.
I would like to put emphasis on the word "new". This is NOT Tuttle's Little 5-Island Adventure being ported to 3D, but an entirely new project. My apologies for cancelling TL5IA were indeed sincere, as that project is gone. The Tuttle concept, however, has been completely re-envisioned, and TLT will be carrying on the spirit of TL5IA.
To elaborate, TL5IA was to be a 2D top-down, puzzle-focused game. TLT's gameplay will be a full 3D action/adventure game, much like the actual MML titles, but with close-range combat using Tuttle's cane as opposed to Trigger's buster. The gameplay will focus considerably more on action than puzzles, and the change from 2D to 3D has altered the structure of the game in every way; the RPG elements, ruin layouts, battle structures, world depth, cutscenes, visual style, and so on. The kind of game TL5IA was is no more; TLT is something considerably different, and far more exciting!
What will the game be like?
Despite the complete re-envisioning of the project, the world and general adventure from TL5IA is being carried over. Here's a tweaked description:
"Tuttle's Legendary Travels is an epic 3D adventure that spans across five original islands set in the Mega Man Legends universe. When Tuttle overhears air pirates discussing a mission that promises great adventure and treasure, he hitches a ride to seek the adventure and treasure for himself. Along the way he will explore grand ruins and expansive islands, battle with monstrous Reaverbots and villainous air pirates, collect various items and precious artifacts, and unravel the mysteries of the Quint Islands."
What is there to see? Where will the project be going?
As I've been extremely busy finishing up Game Maker and fAB has been busy with his usual plethora of projects we really don't have much to show at the moment, but here's the Tuttle model in progress:
Unfortunately both of our lives are pretty hectic right now and we have other priorities outside of the Internet that need immediate attention, so there won't be any more news for awhile yet.
I would like to assure everyone that when this project DOES get going at full speed, we plan on being much more open about its development (as opposed to our usual secretive development style) with frequent progress reports and information, screenshots, videos, and so on. We'll also be creating a feedback and participation environment similar in nature to MML3's "DevRoom" as we hope to get a considerable level of community involvement in the project.
You already had the engine made for TL5IA; Why the transition to 3D?
This was a possibility fAB and I had been considering for a long time and finally decided to do months ago. To name a few reasons why:
1) Enthusiasm
fAB hated spriting, I was sick and tired of Game Maker and needed to move on.
fAB loves 3D modeling, I'm very excited about Unity.
2) Motivation
Eventually fAB and I plan on creating original 3D games with Unity, making it a big part of our future. In this way, TLT will serve as modeling experience for fAB, Unity experience for me, and a kick-ass game engine to be used as the foundation for an original game someday.
3) Gameplay
Over the years Tuttle's Little 5-Island Adventure grew considerably in scale and concept from the original intention of having a basic puzzle game, and as it did fAB and I both came to regret the limitations of its style and platform. Even after the engine was tweaked to lessen the grid-based puzzle element, we just couldn't have an action-oriented 3D adventure with epic boss battles and the like... and now we can. TL5IA still would have been fun for what it was, but what beats a true Legends experience?
In closing...
As I have finally retired from Game Maker, TLT is finally going to be where all of my Mega Man project efforts go from now on, and as fAB's other projects are slimming down slowly but surely it will be a big focus for him as well. It will be awhile before we can get the project really moving, but I hope that when it does, it will move at enthusiasm-pumped speeds. Both of us are really excited about this project and we hope you all look forward to it!
