I really didn't know where to put this, but I think this is worthy of its own topic. On July 18th, 2011, Capcom decided to cancel Mega Man Legends 3. It was a pretty strong blow to some as this not only meant that the Legends series had once again fallen into obscurity, but arguably the entire franchise as well.
The group has continued to show their support and has finally managed to reach their initial goal of getting 100,000 people to like the Facebook page as of April 25th, 2012. What's noticeable about the effort is that it has arguably drawn more attention to the game's cancellation than Capcom did the game's promotion.
Dashe has been a part of the movement in a few ways in spreading the word (She got me into the campaign with her old Legends 3 tribute vid and subsequent Servbot mail-in post), but I think it's cool how everyone's pretty much banded together to show their support for both the Mega Man franchise and the niche Legends branch of it.
So good job, gang. I guess the only thing to do at the moment is to continue to promote the cause and show support while waiting for Capcom to actually respond to this goal that's been reached.

Yeah, it's good that they're not from people who played the original games.. Because that just adds to the people who would buy MML3 besides the long-time fans who've been raging for decades.

@trnuer
Then how about... This?
You madz bro? Trust me, it's negative, what you're saying is opinion, not fact, and I think you've already stated your opinion more than enough times, people may ignore you but I'm telling you what's up without the drama, it's pretty straightforward, don't like the movement? Either say nothing or get told by more people.
Have a nice day.

The you madz bro is obviously a joke, your "realistic" view is nothing more than bashing the movement.
You also referred the movement as "joking around", I'm keeping track of this by the way in case you slip up more, so please just drop it, walk away, and don't reply to this topic, you're doing yourself more harm than good. Plus I hate lecturing people, isn't fun, so please behave? Thank you for reading.

And I'd personally like to see this topic as a celebration, but your point is taken, Trnuer. The 100,000 likes guarantees absolutely nothing, but I'm sure a good many of those likes are to show support for a game and series we all want to see continue.

Truner, watch it. I get where you're coming from, but spouting all that negativity at all certainly isn't going to get the game back regardless of how the 100k group performs. It's okay to not like the group, but bashing it outright should probably be left for conversations offsite where you can actually have control over who sees it and who doesn't. If there's a problem between you and anyone else over the 100k group just take it to PMs. Or AIM. Or Skype.
If there's any more direct badmouthing or bashing 100k, whoever does it from this point on gets written up for a Maj. Infraction #2. Disrespect of this sort will no longer be tolerated here. If you don't like it, don't post about it here.

I'd love to entertain seeing as...well y'know, it's what I do, being an artist an' all, but you see I'd respect your opinion more if you weren't bashing at the same time.
We all know the 100,000 likes won't guarantee us a game, but it's on a 65% chance of working. And even if it doesn't, we have more than 1 reason for forming a group like this.
As you can see this is a celebration topic, and I see you doing quite the opposite.
I'm sorry Trnuer but I'm afraid that I'll be ignoring you now seeing as I've already warned you.
Now back to the brighter part of this subject... Woo! 102k!

In related news, I think this week was the most the movement has gained since the very initial phase of things due to advertising. It's amazing how so few knew that this game was in development and then canceled outright. Word of mouth can only take things so far sometimes.

Now that we've reached our goal.. what changes are we expecting? I mean yes, we will continue support, awareness and endurance.. but is further action going to be pursued?

If nothing else, It was just a fun thing to do. To try to see if you can get 100,000 people to click a button. And that way, there's 100,000 people linked together for information sharing purposes. I'm enjoying this, even while not expecting Capcom to do anything with it. It may be a waste of my time and resources, but so is playing video games Plus, it's more ammo in the stockpile. GMOTM + Other efforts > Other efforts - GMOTM, IMO. It's just one more way to show fan support. The more appreciation and support you can show Capcom, the better (though some of the more "Propagandious" tactics were a bit... much for me. I'm amazed at how passionate some of the people behind gmotm are). Also, YAY!eventhoughIonlydirectlybroughtinonelikefromafriendwhodidn'tevenknowwhatmegamanlegendsisuntilItoldhim =D Maybe my MML3 tribute video brought in a few likes, *shrug* I added a link to legends3 and the facebook page at the bottom of the description =\ I'm still worried that MML3 PE, or, if they finished it, MML3, would end up failing miserably. What if it's really a terrible game, lol?

Speculator of course! becoming a Servebot is the next plan of action whilst we pick up more fans, capcom's only issue stated was lack of involvement. Doing so will show them that there is now twice as many people getting involved to bring this game back, it's simple yet it will take just a little longer. ^^

I just like how all of these promotions were done. Some were big group efforts from the page itself, you had a podcast here or there that brought the issue up, others including myself did a quick little video for YouTube to show the group off... It was pretty cool watching the total climb with a good number of people chipping in.

I liked the facebook group as soon as I possibly could. I remember being at work checking my facebook statuses (I have nothing better to do on my breaks than to see what other people are doing. It's not like I smoke or eat on my breaks or anything.) and then shortly following the rest of the steps to become a join the devroom, become a servbot, much others.
If not anything else, this kept my hopes high for the game revival even though I had some negative thoughts floating around in my head. "What if Capcom ignores the 100k? Even if it's released, what about it's quality? Will it live up to Legends 1 & 2? Is MegaMan even going to be playable? And what's worse, will he still have the voice of a 12 year old little girl?" Regardless of the "what ifs" I kept thinking positive. Sure some of the interviews are disheartening, but I'm going to do now what I've done in the past. Have faith.
