Nintendo was announcing Fire Emblem games like crazy a couple of weeks back. It's amazing how the series that was literally going to be shelved like F-Zero managed to get such a huge comeback thanks to that Awakening game.

If any of you need me I'll be in Fort Asshole, sailing in the salt ocean.

Yeah, I don't have any real words for this.
They better make sure they don't end up overly surpassing the hardware of the original 3DS, or else they're gonna have to come up with a different name for the console.

Hah, I got that Black Friday 3DS for less. 1.5x the dimensions for .66x the price!

Erm... okay? the 2DS is already pretty bulky. and the screen isn't too bad. I guess I'm glad it's foldable and whatever.

Announced today during a Pokémon-centered Nintendo Direct, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon look to be sequels to the Gen VII Alola games. The new story revolves around Necrozma, it seems, who has the ability to fuse with Solgaleo and Lunala. The Pokémon Direct says that the games are slated for a November 17 release. Also of note, Pokémon Gold and Silver are coming to 3DS Virtual Console September 22, the day Pokken Tournament DX, a port of the Tekken-team-developed arcade fighter for Nintendo Switch, releases to the public. The Virtual Console ports of Gold and Silver will support wireless trade and battle, as well as Pokémon Bank compatbility via PokéTransporter.

Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back and Shaq Fu: The Legend Reborn are both coming out this year. We can get Bubsy and Shaq Fu revived, but apparently MML is just too much of a stretch.

Not only that, but apparently Undertale is coming to PS4 and PSVita. Fangamer's already taking preorders for a pretty swag collector's edition.

It came out without a ton of fanfare, but I have really been enjoying Mighty Gunvolt Burst on the Switch. You can either play as Gunvolt or Beck as you face off against the MN9 bots in a pixel-based platformer. The goal is to find items in stages to be able to create customized character setups like having larger bullets, wave arcs, shooting through terrain, etc. It's interesting how it works, and I totally recommend the game to someone that wants a Mega Man-like platformer. Oh, and it's a score attack game where you get more points for taking enemies out at point blank range.

Is it a Switch exclusive? It's tough to see since I made the video small, but the thumbnail for the vid says the 3DS version came out on the 29th. It's just on the Switch and 3DS for now.

3DS? Eh, still Nintendo Exclusive for now, but I've been interested in playing Gunvolt many times off and on, don't know why I haven't grabbed 2 from Steam for 4 dollars.

Bowen Aero is going to that con again this year. Inti's there, as far as I'm aware, so he could always ask about ports to other consoles if he sees this message.

Speaking of Inti Creates, they're releasing the 1.3 update to Blaster Master Zero soon, and it will come with two new DLC characters.
Steel thy Shovel and prepare your dancing pants! Shantae and Shovel Knight join Gunvolt and Ekoro as DLC characters! Shantae first, on July 6th, and Shovel Knight on August 3rd. Both will initally be free DLC, but then after a week or so for each go to $1.99 to download.

I said it before and I will say it as many times until I get tired of it: that art of Shantae is absolutely gorgeous. Another thing is that both of these characters are melee fighters. it's probably going to make the game slightly harder since nearly everything shoots at you.
