*Whistles*I've been noticing an abundance of announcements in this board lately, and honestly, it doesn't help the average user navigate through it. So.... I decided to make this thread, as a place for any MMLS member to share recent announcements made in the video game world. Have fun, and place nice! Da' Rules - Please change the post subject from 'RE: The Video Game Announcement(s) Thread!' to something else. It's easier for classification.
- The double-post rule is still in effect here. If you feel like making another announcement, and nobody has posted since the last one, you'll have to edit that post. I know, I know, it's awkward, but I can't do anything about it.
- No quick-posting to circumvent the double-post rule. In other words, don't ask another member to make a half-assed post in order to score free announcement for yourself. It's bad form, and I'll be very upset with any guilty parties.

Just some quick questions: If I wanted to post any new updates for any of the games I made a topic for, should I post them here as well? Also, how am I supposed to post about any recent announcement in this topic while the "no double posting" rule is still in effect?
I guess that if I were to use this topic for its original purpose, then I had to abuse the "Edit Post" feature. It would also be a shame as editing a post doesn't count as a new one, thus users might not get informed as quickly as they could be.

Good question. I guess... you'll have to update the threads you've already made, since other people have made posts there themselves. As for the double-posting rule... I'll get back to you on that.... :41:Riiiight. As of now, the thread itself has been stickied, so you don't need to worry about the posts not being noticed. (To a certain extent, but hey, what can you do?) As for the double-posting rule, I'm sorry, but I'm in no position to make this thread exempt from it. You'll have to edit if nobody responds.

Do people even read the video games forum enough to NEED to have to wade through it easily?
Edit: It would just make things more chaotic to have to post updates about all those games in one thread.
But, meh

Wouldn't it be kind of difficult for people to comment on each new piece of news when every new update for every new game is posted here? It would be a chaotic mess of multiple posts from different users discussing about new information for different games.
Also, having one single topic for videogame announcements would invalidate the purpose of this section of the forum. Only a few non-announcement topics exist in this board.

I will, to the best of my abilities, set up a table consisting of any announcement-related URLs posted in this thread. Heck, if you really want to cut down on clutter, you could just PM the links and whatnot, and I'll insert them myself. Note: If people are willing to agree to this arrangement, I guess I'll need to change the rules again.

I'm kind of on that side of the fence myself... I kind of like the individual threads for games at the moment as it keeps things from getting too cluttered up myself. Still, if that's the way you want to do, I guess we can try things like that from now on.

Even if I agreed to it, just posting the URLs is not enough for me. It doesn't look as sleek or nice. I'd rather just quit at this point than having a mess out of the articles I transcribe into the forums. After all, nobody forced me to post the news on the first place. (Though I would still post other non gaming-related news as they don't seem to clutter the forums.)

Yes, I do mean the sources, and the table would be posted... in this thread? In other words, I'll leave it up there, in my first post.

That's right dudes and dudettes, Ghostlight has officially confirmed that Devil Survivor Overclocked (and Devil Survivor 2) is now coming to Europe! Although no release date has been set yet but at least it's now guaranteed!
This isn't much news to U.S. fans as they've already got the game but it's huge news to us Europe gamers! Unless you guys are excited for us too then you ROCK!
I never thought I'd see the day where we'd actually get a European release, I actually feel like crying right now. ;u;
As you know D.S.Overclocked is a 3DS remake of the DS version, With added voice acting (which the voices are damn good!), Improvements and an EXTRA 8TH DAY.
Honestly if you're in the U.S. and you don't have this game go check it out, as for us Europe gamers; Make sure your body is ready. B3

Thank you GreenPow this is a great idea! I can't believe this hadn't been thought of before. The game announcement thread get few replys so bundling them all together is much cleaner!

Uh.... thanks, Loken. No offense, but it took me a while to figure out your post. At first, I actually thought you were being sarcastic. So... uh... I'm sorry for thinking that you were being sarcastic towards me. Friends again? Anyway, the whole video game announcement thing has been dying down lately, so I might have to add in some articles myself.

Hmm, it does seem a bit sarcastic now that I've read it again but that's not how I meant it . It is a great idea. I haven't been hip on the new video game scene in a while but if I see something cool I'll post it.

I should mention this since the Facebook page mentioned it somewhere, but that new Capcom game called EX Troopers for the 3DS and PS3 seems to be ripping off assets from a certain canceled game on said 3DS. Looks pretty suspicious if you ask me...
