Source: gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=175973It's time to see how many of those 89,183 people that liked the movement + the unknown amount of people that didn't but still support Legends will buy the soundtrack. *Prepares Credit Card*

I don't like this. It feels reaaaal shady. Now, take this post with a grain of salt, 'cause it's only my opinion. Okay?
*Ahem*
In order to have a chance at getting the Prototype onto the eShop, over 20,000 people need to buy an album....?
Wasn't the Prototype supposed to act as a demo? A way for Capcom to gauge the market, so they could see how many people were willing to buy the game and show if it's worth the investment or not? If so, why is this album business necessary? It's unfair on the fan-base.
I mean, I can understand that Ms. Morishita wishes to help the revival effort, but this feels like the wrong way to go about it....

To add on, if CJapan were to actually release it because of the numbers that may come out of the album's sales, wouldn't it make them look weak? I suppose it is all about the money, but I don't get why CJapan would follow an example set by an album pertaining to a game when they can't instead follow examples set by games similar to Legends, like Ocarina of Time.
I might buy the album if I come across the means, but only for the thing itself. I'm not going to buy it just so that it can gather dust; because that would be the completely wrong way to go about it, as GreenPow said. I don't think sales figures in the album will shift CJapan's decision. I've been optimistic about this sort of stuff before only to be shot down, and I'm done.

I can feel some nice intentions from Reika, still I´m not sure this could help to release the prototype, unless she offers a big amount of money to capcom but that's unfair for her. Still, this album could become a rare and valuable item for all Legends fans, so it's still a good investment.

I'm just going to sit and watch where this goes before I form any opinion on the matter.

I'd buy it just because it's Legends, and I'd like to have SOMETHING new I can spend my money on that's relevant to the series and isn't some ad on Facebook.
I don't think it'd be difficult for her to get 20,000 albums sold, either. She probably has other fans who obsess over everything she does outside of Legends fans.

I'm not a huge fan of the Legends series music, so I'd only buy the music if I was guaranteed to get at least the prototype. Honestly, I've lost a lot of enthusiasm for Legends 3 in general. But I bet they would sell shit tons of albums if Capcom decided to bundle redemption codes for the Prototype with the album. People would buy it just for the prototype, I bet. Not that they're likely to do so at all, though.
Until there's definite proof of Capcom moving on what it's sitting on top of, I'm going to be quite skeptical of this whole thing.

I'd definitely be happier if there were an option to buy a download of the songs instead of importing an entire album.

It's gonna take a lot more than just the Prototype of MML3 to get me to purchase music. I mean, it goes against my title and everything. Besides, a playable demo for a game that Capcom has no hopes to further invest in just seems like torture for me. A little taste of what "could have been" if you will.

Eh, I'm taking this with a grain of salt. It might be just a sale stunt. That being said, I kind of want those tunes (I liked the originals) so I'm probably gonna try and get it anyway. If it somehow gets me a prototype later, that's a bonus.

That's "SketchMan3". Capital S, capital M and the number 3. It's official (nicknames are ok, though)

Yeah, I don't care about her non-promises of getting MML3 released (I think it's a really bad revival publicity stunt brimming full with capitalism [which I've thought since she first mentioned her support and desire to make more money off of support the MML3 cause])
But I'd still buy the music. I love music, and I like her voice and those songs.
Edit: Let me add, I do think she genuinely may care for the Legends cause, but I don't think she's just doing it for the love of the game. This is a really big way to alienate whatever fans she shared with MML.

It may sound promising, but I'll take it with a pinch of salt. While I do like the music from the series, wasn't the prototype supposed to be sold for $2 only to promote the actual MML3?
I'll wait and see how this turns out.

This really feels like a carrot dangling on a string tactic to me. When/If they release the Prototype or something that I want, I'll get it. I'm not going to throw money in at something I'm not really wanting to get what I do want.
If you're buying this for the music itself, then you're buying it for the right reason. If you're going to buy this in the hopes of getting MML3: PV released, then that just feels wrong to me.

I would import it, but I doubt it will change capcom's mind. Correct me if I'm wrong but Capcom hasn't commented on this issue so I ain't holding my breath.
