Nope, he's busy. However, he is going to post the entries on the main site like always.
Everyone should have their requests at this point. Have fun!

I guess I don't draw too horribly. After all, I have really good depth and 3d perception. =p I actually rather like my request. Didn't think I would, at first.

I know I've got my work cut out for me, but I've an idea where to begin, and time is on my side.

I'm so glad LydiLydi is letting me use her precious tablet for this one XD If I had to do this with a mouse, I would legitimately feel bad @a@

Thanks to the death of Mr. Stylus, all of my art must be done by mouse. I apologize to the person who's request I'm about to butcher.

I don't even own a tablet, so I'm already jelly. I know the picture doesn't HAVE to be done on the computer, but I still want to try. I should be lucky that I have a touchpad for precision.
I'm so nervous, I'm pretty sure my hair's turning grey. Hah. :01:

Hmm, I haven't thought about that- Perhaps I might experiment a little, but that'll depend on how quickly I can hammer out the project I'm doing...

Looks like I have to keep my computer (I was intending of getting rid of it) just to scan whatever I will do.
... And I have no inspiration for my assignment, Dang it. *searches inspiration in various games and cartoons*

I should be lucky that I have a touchpad for precision. This and the fact that my version of paint makes near anything look really good and shadowed may be two of the reasons why my picture isn't god-awful.

Sorry for posting here again (at least it isn't double post) but I need to know something.
For the "upgraded" badge, we need to take picture of ourselves making our assignment? If so how many?
Also I'm afraid the digitization of mine will have to be with a photo because my scanner won't scan colors correctly...

I'm still a little fuzzy about this as well. I think you have to draw yourself making your piece, like, as a second picture. And, there only has to be one. I'm probably going to go with a stickman representation. I just hope it fits into the criteria, because it's a bit more silly than serious.

You can draw it or take a photograph, or make a comic, as long as it's visual and shows how you got to your finished piece. It's supposed to be really open ended. If you want to, or feel you need to make it a mullti-step process, then I'm certainly not stopping you from going above and beyond what's already above and beyond.

@ Dashe: How 'farfetched' can the actual presentation be?
Can it be something like, let's say, 'pulling a drawing out of hammerspace' in a dramatized manner? Or does it have to be showing someone drawing/compiling it comparable to real-life examples?

I was under the impression that the focus of the bonus piece was supposed to be more on your process than... yourself, I guess?
Encouraging participants to try new things and further themselves as artists has always been a part of the SS event. Having people show their process for others to view (through in-progress shots, a short comic, photos if they're doing something less digital, or what have you) seemed to tie directly into this, and so that sort of thing was what my mind immediately jumped to when I read the "depict yourself creating your assigned piece" line. Participants would create something that others could potentially learn from, and be rewarded for it with a special badge. Everyone wins.
Was I at least in the ballpark with that? Or was I reading too much into it, and it was just intended to be a fun little anything goes side thing?
