It'd give us an excuse to finally give out badges for gaming prowess. For a gaming site so many are focused more on art.

I say we force Chiz to program an electronic version and have an MMLS tournament! What's the worst that could happen...? It'd never get completed. :01: I...we'll see. Maybe if I do some tests... SPOILER;oh god I'm doing it again, I'm talking myself into yet another project...

I say focus on the concept first. I, for one, will have an oppurtunity to play it with some friends pretty soon. I'd be glad to help if it means it's playable by the end of the week.

MegaMan Legends The Board Game
UPDATE 1: How to Play
1) MARKET AUDIENCE: 13 to 25 years-old MML fans
2) THEME: MML Health-Based Game
3) MAJOR RULES:
GOAL: Fall in stores to buy stuff. Get Zenny to buy Upgrades to power up and Battle reduce the other players' Health. Buy Energy Canteens to recover Health. Sell, Trade or even Auction Upgrades to get Zenny for other Upgrades or for buying Health Canteens. Take care of any traps and hope to land in the Data zones.
WIN: To beat everyone by being the only player with some or all Health left.
LOSE: Lose all of your Health, regardless of how much Zenny you have.
PIECES: Board, Player Markers, a pair of dice, Upgrade Cards, Energy Canteen Cards, Health Counter (Like a piece of paper or Notepad), Servbot Cards, Data Cards
PLAYERS: 2 to 6
BASICS: everyone starts with 3000 Zenny. Everyone starts by rolling the dices in order to choose the starting order. After everyone has rolled their dice, if two or more players rolled the same amount of dice then these players must roll their dice again to who of them are earliest in the playing order.
4) SPACES:
TOWN SPACE: Everyone starts here. Get back to this area to be paid 1000 Zenny. Fall on it to get paid the 1000 Zenny and access the Entry Store
FLUTTER SPACE: Buy any of the available Upgrades or Energy Canteens with your Zenny. Each store will have one exclusive, good but expensive Upgrade. Apart from this Exclusive Upgrade, every store will include the same Upgrades and Energy Canteens.
SERVBOT SPACE: Select one of the Servbot cards. Their effect are instantaneous.
DATA SPACE: Select one of the Data cards. Data cards can be used at any point or when specified by the card
TELEPORT SPACE: Teleport to the space opposite to your place in the board.
BANK VAULT SPACE: Every time someone passes this area they must pay a tax of 100 Zenny, which will go into the Bank Vault. The player that falls in this area will not be charged, but will be paid with all of the Zenny in the Bank Vault. (The Bank Vault is not the same as the normal Bank)
BATTLE SPACE: Select who to Battle and fight once
GESELLSCHAFT BATTLE SPACE: Teleport to the player(s) whose nearest to you when moving forward. Start a battle, but deal your opponents 10 damage "before" the Battle starts.
TREASURE SPACE: Fall in here and receive an instant 500 Zenny bonus.
5) SPECIFIC RULES:
BATTLE:
How to trigger a Battle: - Fall in the same space where another player or more are found - Fall in a Battle Space - Fall in a Gessellschaft battle space - Get a Servbot Battle Card (Effects vary) - Use a Data Battle Card (Effects vary)
One on One Battle: Every player starts the game with 200 health. When a Battle starts, both players can roll both dice. The Attack Power will equal the rolls of the Dice + the Extra Power from Upgrades or any Data Card you use. After that, the player that dealt the most damage can take Zenny in the difference in Damage between both players x 100. The Battle ends there.
Multi-Battle: It happens when more than two persons enter a fight. It works similarly, but you can only choose one player to attack. The player that receives the least amount of damage gets the Zenny from each user, which would equal the amount of damage received by 100, which would be paid by each loser in equal shares (Example: when the winner wins 2000 Zenny against two people, each loser will pay 1000 Zenny.). If two or more players receive the same amount of damage, then the Zenny gets divided (In the case of any division not being exact, the amount won is rounded to the nearest divisible number in favor of the winner when there is a single winner or divided to the nearest divisible in favor of the losers when there are more than one winner)
In any Battle: losers can pay the winners with Upgrade(s) and/or canteens if the winners are willing to accept it. if the winners aren't willing to accept it, you must pay. if you don't have enough zenny to pay (and if the winner won't accept any other type of payment), then you will not any of your cash but instead you will receive an extra 50 damage instantly.
UPGRADES:
Types of Upgrades: - Head - Buster - Body - Leg
Players can have as many Upgrades as they can buy, but they can only equip one of each type. Players can equip their Upgrades at the start of their turn or upon obtaining the new Upgrade. Players can sell, trade or auction their Health Canteens or Upgrades when they want to and at the terms they want to as long as the buyer accepts.
The only difference between Upgrades is their Attack Power, but that also means they will be pricier in the Store.
Energy Canteens: They can be bought from stores (Or from players selling them). One version allows you to recover 50 Health. The other version will allow you to recover 100 Health, but is pricier. You can't have more than 200 Health. (Example: Using a 50 Health Canteen when you have 160 Health will only recover you 40 Heath, but you won't be able to claim back the 10 Health from the Canteen not used back.) You can use a Health Canteen to recover Health upon buying it or in your turn before rolling your dice.
Losing: When a player loses, all of their Upgrades Cards are automatically auctioned off. (The money paid in the auctions will go to the Normal Bank.) The Zenny of every losing player all goes to the Bank Vault.
---

UPDATE 3: Upgrades, Exclusive Upgrades and Prices (Including the Health Canteens' Prices)

I must admit that this project sounds quite interesting. I don't think there was a Mega Man Legends-themed board game before.

I saw a megaman legends board somewhere online many years ago, it was popular on a megaman legends spanish community. It was basically something like monopoly, but in legends. It's in spanish, but i can try to fish it out if anyone's interested to see it.

I could always use another board game as an example of the bar of quality I have to top.
(My native language is Spanish, so I would obviously understand it.)
