I'm surprised Mandomantal made it in. Guess that means we're probably up for more underwater action. This is pretty reassuring, too...maybe Orudakoitan stands a fighting chance after all, since it's practically attached to Arukoitan at the hip! EDIT: Oh, wow, there's a follow-up with insight on how Arukoitan got its name! Apparently it was named after a coworker!

I made a massive, eloquent post about three of the selected Reaverbots and they must have been too dense to translate quickly, lol. Either way, we have the Koitan duo and Firushudot in—that's both impressive and truly exciting, considering how many possibilities there are to make these buggers even more interesting and even more deadly. Ishihara's development tidbits were neat to hear as well.

Group attacks please. You'd think that Aruikoitan would work excellently in groups, trying to surround you and try new tactics against you and change things up, all the while providing a good challenge.

Well, I'm glad that my top pic Mandomantel made it in, I was pretty confident that if did it would have to be one of the special selections. All of them are great, the only one that really surprised me was Poh. It's a fine reaverbot and all, but it was not really one of the more memorable ones for me and I did not expect it to get 3rd. Perhaps I'm just not looking at it correctly; however, it's new mimic ability seems very cool. I don't know if the post was changed, but this was in the Arukoitan development notes as well: So it looks like Orudakoitan is in too.

Shingu's ears make him look like Buddha! I'm a bit on the fence about Arukoitans being invincible until the Orudakoitan's down, since my favorite part about the Arukoitans was the extra zenny tradeoff you'd get if you beat it while it was still active. It made you strategize. If they're invincible, you have to take down the Orudakoitan first, which eliminates the decision factor.

He made mention of doing new things with the link between the two bots—one way to capitalize upon this is to add a group element to the mix. If an Aruikoitan is a part of a group, and you take out its complement, it'll fall out of the group and, while retaining its combat effectiveness and also posing a potential threat by adding an additonal flank (another risk to take into account!), it'll become slim pickins' while also making the fight easier by making the group less powerful, though there'll be much less of a zenny reward. Fighting the guys in the group and just fighting the group in general would be more risky and challenging, but the zenny reward would be very much worth it! And, of course, Orudakoitan placement should be much trickier than it was in Legends 1.

Anyone that knows me knows that tidbit about how the Koitans got their name was my favorite part. Hope they drop more name origins like that to add to my list.
Looking forward to the new types of Mimics we'll be getting, especially considering we tried to get a new type of Mimic in during the other Reaverbot contest.

Sweet, was hoping Mandomantal would get in. It's still one of my favorites of the series, definitely felt different from other reaverbots.
Heck, here's a way to make it appear without having the build a whole area around it - we already know that they're building a water-themed ruin. Why not go back to the idea of having windows or viewing screens out into the ocean areas outside, and seeing a school of Mandomantals swimming by?
Considering the amount of defense these things have, imagine if they were actually aggressive reaverbots by default. With a little more speed and a little more aggression, Mandomantal could easily become a Reaverboss. Maybe pump up the size slightly and make it a shade of sand blue or sand indigo.

But Greg never listens to you. It's probably a lost cause. :P
Seriously though, sounds like an excuse to do something, anything at the Devroom again a plan. While I'm at it, maybe I can plant the idea in his head of simplifying the spelling for the names more where appropriate. Like Golbesh. Here I'm trying to spread the idea of saying the same name in fewer letters and after one post there everyone's spelling it with more letters. Everyone sure loves those Goururuubesshururuus.

Hell yeah Mandomantal!!!
But wow, what a surprise to see my comment about Mandomantal show up. Since its always been one of my favourites, I’m so happy Mandomantal was specially chosen, and that he received so much support from other users! *phew* I’m really interested to see how he’s going to be incorporated into the game.
Gorubesshu made it as well, but none of my other picks did. At least there is still a possibility of some of them making into the game, so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

But Greg never listens to you. It's probably a lost cause. :P Try giving him tips during the live stream. I think that was the one time SIMS and I were on the same page, giving him hell when he told us to stop trolling, and then twenty minutes later he figured out that we'd been right all along about where the Saw was -_- For a "Devroom Liason", he seems to do the minimum liason...ing, that he can. On topic, I am disappointed that the Karubun tanks didn't make it in, those could have been particularly noteworthy during a massive surface battle like the prototype seems to have partially.

I really liked the results of this poll.. I certainly wasn't expecting to see so many people liking the mimic (because I kept hearing people who hated it)
And I'm very excicted abotu Mandomantal... I hope it will do something else or at least be able to survive out of water.
