I hope it doesn't spread all the way to Osaka and wreck Legends 3. :17:

I hope it doesn't spread all the way to Osaka and wreck Legends 3. :17: No offense if taken, but that sounds incredibly selfish. Thousands of people are dying, missing and thousands more are about to die. There is an extreme shortage of food, clean water, warmth, communication and a constant threat of radiation... And you only care whether Legends 3 survives this or not?

I don't only care about Legends 3, but it is something I do care about, and not much can change that. It's always been extremely difficult for me to invest empathy in total strangers, even though it does come off as selfish. I would absolutely donate money to help get the country back on its feet and relocate everyone whose homes were destroyed, though, if the opportunity were to arise.
I also hope my college buddy's military parents who are stationed somewhere over there and the college exchange student who stayed with my parents when I was twelve are okay, but I figured you guys probably wouldn't care that much about them.

Okay, then I apologize. There are several people out there, mostly on Facebook, that are being awfully disrespectful and ignorant about this disaster. It's irritating me.

I'm actually surprised more relief effort opportunities haven't shown up in grocery stores across the country yet. Usually those guys are pretty quick to set those up.

Thanks Qwertman but he is most likely on one of the aircraft carriers at Japan.
Most likely working his butt off helping out.
Thanks again Qwertman.

Ugh, has anyone seen posts saying these disasters are somehow some sort of divine retribution for Pearl Harbor? Not only is it incredibly stupid and asinine, it's horrible and ignorant. So apparently they don't think the 200,000+(including death by radiation poisoning/other radiation induced diseases) by our own atomic bomb isn't "revenge" enough for those 1,000 lives, which I agree, were needlessly and foolishly taken. Not to mention the countless more killed after we firebombed the majority of their cities(Hiroshima and Nagasaki were chosen as bombing spots simply because we ran out of places to bomb). God, people piss me off... On a similarly cynical note, people are going to inevitably try and scam people who are well-intentioned and try to donate to the relief effort, so if any of you want to donate, be sure that you're sending to a legitimate place. You can't go wrong with Red Cross, either.

I would recommend the Red Cross the most. When a massive ice storm hit our neck of the woods they helped out more than anyone. Of course this is x100 worse. And yeah Musashi, people always say disgusting things when disasters hit other places. My IT teacher said that the quake in Haiti was because they weren't Christian. Living in a Rebel(ignorant) state I heard alot of 'Good Riddences' to New Orleans during the Katrina hurricane. It really is a shame. Revenge for Pearl Harbor? That's just an excuse to be glad about the quake, people like that don't know History, and they don't really care about it.

But that's just what I heard. And yeah, I were seeing those comments on Facebook. It's just horrible... And makes me fear for the future of history education.

To anyone who wants to donate to help out Japan: current word on the streets is that because they've got laws surrounding financial help from non-Japanese citizens, only donate through the Red Cross.

Even if they do, why would you go up to the Red Cross and say 'hey guys, I'm gay, can I have some blankets?'
