Dashe, Kyle: The worst part? Guess who's going to be paying for them in the games... Ira. It'll be the Darker And Edgier backstory behind her hospitalization! Poor thing had to sell her bone marrow for the final down payment. Oh, wait. You said "games". Darnit, HF, we had something special going here!

Darnit, HF, we had something special going here! Oh wow. That's just cruel even by my standards. (Now do the three troublemaking kids!) Dashe: I've been curious about this: You don't consider RMDL as a "Darker and Edgier" adaptation because it's gratuitously made that way (i.e. for the sake of shoehorning dark themes into a mostly lighthearted series), do you? Update: New page's up! And a little preview for the male readers. Actually, instead I'm just going to tease: Is this better, fAB?

Nah, if I did I'd have told you much, much earlier. I see it as more of you doing your own thing in your own style, and there's nothing wrong with that. And I actually like the deviations better because I've already played the original games sixty zillion times anyway and I know what happens. (Also, I'm pretty sure your gay male readers aren't too into Roll fanservice. )

Okay, that's a nice reaffirmation of the mindset when writing this! Thanks again. Well if you have to put it that way... Though not quite relevant in the same context, I feel that I should note that naked Rock came first.

Just saying, it's probably smart to figure that not everyone reading your comic who's male is into women and vice versa. Okay, but don't let that one line make you think otherwise. I've uploaded some sample pages to my DA account, partly in hopes of promoting the site and comic some more. As for other site updates, I'm thinking of releasing a few more character profiles sometime next week (it's really been a while). I would like to ask: Does anyone have any character profiles they would want to see in particular?

I would like to see some profiles of the support/optional NPC's if you ever give them a spotlight in the comic, people like Art, Wily, Ira, Jim's gang... you get what I mean.
It's always me, or is there anybody else around who likes supporting the underdog characters?

In-Clover was big on that to a fault, almost. The Junk Store Couple, Amelia, and the police were the ones you've introduced, right? I'd recommend doing character bios in order of their appearance.

MegaTuga: Not unlike the games, a number of these side NPCs are planned to play various roles in the story (of course). As Dashe has pointed out, it makes sense to only release their profiles after their debut because SPOILERS. Same goes for other entries, especially since RMDL may get heavy with terminology for some. And I can't wait to start cramming 40+ Servbots into a single profile. Fun! Oh? Care to tell me a bit more, Dashe?

More means more, that's what I keep trying to tell the citizens of MMLS here. ... Fine. Update: I wasn't able to finalize the new profiles just yet, so a new page will have to do!In addition to the new page, here's the initial draft of the latest two pages, now that the two pages have been released. The original draft had Rock say something which made him act tough, but the scene seemed more in-character if he didn't say anything and just walked up to them like the crazy kid he is. What do you guys think?

Yessssssssssss. This is awesome!
As for In-Clover, we'd go to iScribble and he'd give Raijin and me crap for drawing Tron and Teisel because he had it in his head that we should be appreciating characters who aren't so overrated. His words, more or less. It's been a while, but it was amusing. If he ever comes back I'm going to draw him the birds in their native resolution and make him try and identify them.

Dashe: Thanks! Figured that it was about time for a little 'extra' after all. Well, at least until the next double-page anyway! I remember In-Clover being around often during iScribble sessions when I lurked every now and then. Now that you mention it I don't recall seeing him around lately...

You know what? I really like the fact that you tend to emphasize that Rock is not always wearing his armor and he doesn't have the ability to make it appear out of nothing in a "magic sailor girl" fashion; I wonder if, as story develops, Roll will create some sort of belt or magic wand to fix that problem. (Or maybe she'll put rockets and AI to all the armor parts and he'll put the suit on ala IronMan as he does on the third movie 9_9...)

You know what? I really like the fact that you tend to emphasize that Rock is not always wearing his armor and he doesn't have the ability to make it appear out of nothing in a "magic sailor girl" fashion; I'm glad you like it! I think I've mentioned it before; I don't quite buy the whole "assembled body parts" view of Rock, even if his armor and weapons have been presented that way in various guidebooks. Because of that, I've given RMDL's take on Rock's ability to swap his left arm for his unique and powerful Rockbuster a feature that he uses to fight overwhelming odds despite his small size*, fitting into the original plot flow. At the same time, this concept contributes to showing how exactly the Rockbuster switches in/out on Rock's command by hand gesture while in full armor, so that's a plus for the overall world building I aim for. * Though unclear because of their footwear and headgear, Rock is made to be little shorter than Roll in this adaptation. As rough estimates, I say their heights are roughly 150cm and 151cm (approx. 4'11" for both) respectively. As a silly obligatory Bonne reference, Teisel is 210cm (approx. 6'11") in this.As a fan of shows and comics with heroes in powered armor and flashy transformations, I really like this idea. Who knows how his armor will develop? Hey, I know! Being from the 'moon' as many fans put it, what if we gave him a Moon Rod so he can use it to become the titular hero Trigger Moon?
