Independence Day and Men in Black aside, DASH was never meant to be a horribly dark nightmare for all of Terra to be in danger of, although we can detect the strain on building the rocket is giving the ol' elder system (or, in Will Smith's case, the aliens) time to become fully active again, that's no reason to think Terra's going to go into a state of Elder System Rule and destruction... yet. Jus sayin'.

I was actually making an I Am Legend reference. I think he might have doing the same because the resemblance is striking.

I was actually making an I Am Legend reference. I think he might have doing the same because the resemblance is striking. I was thinking of Berserk when I thought that up, actually. But I can see how fitting it could have been. Oh, wait, wait! I got it! "The Purifier", the story of a nigh-invincible unit called Trigger sent back in time to eliminate Rock's family from being born, by assassinating Matilda Casquet. To stop this from happening, a man was sent back in time as well to stop the stable time loop from being broken. Edit: Keeping on topic; the tone transition from DASH 1 to DASH 2 was already contrasting (but in a justified way). While DASH 1 got only as dark as having an entire island wiped out by unknown means, DASH 2 had the very danger of imminent genocide of what is left of "humans" along with their duplicates. I am hoping DASH 3 to be somewhere in between, because that would open doors to side stories which do not need to contribute to the plot, but is still fun for everyone.
