And I just had an awesome idea... darn it.

He didn't say anything against videos... I'm going to wait and see if I get LBP2 before the deadline. It's suppose to come in the mail sometime between the 18th and the 31rst. So in the worst case scenario I'd only have one day to make a design in LBP2. I'm not going to try it on the first LBP since it's far to difficult to rig up elaborate machines. It'll just come out kinda crusty.

Just because it has to have 4 legs, it doesn't mean it has to always stay on 4 legs, right?

It has to have 4 legs? Well, if they didn't say it have to be bipedal or insect-like, etc, there's a lot one can do to make a four-legged reaverbot..

Would you guys all be ready to start working on something at Friday's iScribble session (beginning at approximately 9PM Legends Station Time)? To those of you who are new, we go to this oekaki/chat board called iScribble on weekend nights and chat and draw...and we'd used those as our base of operations for creating the Seeteufel last time. Just create an account and look for a board called "MML"--we'll let you know when it's up! There's a chatboard too, so you don't necessarily have to be an artist to show up. As far as a Legends Station account, we'd first definitely have to check with Greg. Since this deadline's so soon, we should probably wait till at least the next event, if it's collab-friendly. If we did get a go-ahead, we'd also need a rep to constantly use it and build up some rapport with the guys on the boards--since there is a bit of a popularity contest in addition when there's a ratings system or we're all voting, it'd be harder if we only had obligatory contest entries under our belt. And I think it'd be nice if--assuming Capcom gives us Legends stuff to cash our CU points in on and that we do wind up getting big-time CU point prizes--the points went to fAB in the end, since he set this site up and kept it running all this time while the series was dead. With that in mind, I think whoever we pick as the OP this time should go to the devroom in the time leading up to the due date, and build up some rapport with their regulars. You know, post intelligently, be friendly, and what-have-you--meaning we should probably designate one as early as possible.

It sounds like you're in the central time zone. I believe that Legends Station is Eastern Time Zone, which is a hour ahead, so for you, it would be at 8PM. (Just like me!)
I'll definitely be there to watch, and just be my normal old boring lurker self.

I think we should get an idea of what kind of Reaverbot we want to start working on first.
For example: would this Reaverbot try to be aggressive towards you, or would it be more defensive instead? or would it go a for a balance of both? These are the kind of questions I think we really should be thinking about. Even if this event is somewhat more low-key than the Bonne Mecha Event, which was major, we'll still have to compete with our good Kobun over in Japan and go for a runner-up position in the States at the same time.

Yeah, I've been thinking about some ideas for Reaverbots, but I still dunno if I'll enter solo, the amount of work I had to put into my mecha, and the work everyone else put into it was fun, but in the end the odds of winning were so small I dunno if it justified me losing a little sleep.
But if I don't space and forget I'll be on the iscribble.
Some ideas I've been thinking about...
Zenny Eating Reaverbots, A fishing Reaverbot (like a small harmless Reaverbot connected to a bigger one, who tries to lure you into it's mouth to bite you), Human like Controller Reaverbots (Sure the Reaverbot has to be on four legs, but what if there was say a more human looking Miitan riding a horse Reaverbot), and of course, Queen Miroc (who I kind of imagine as a big Miroc on a bed like thing that walks on it's own, and normal Miroc come out of her) =P

Runner up position in the states?! Why not go for the top? Personally, after Event #2 I want to go kick some Kobun butt this round--it's so on! >:]

I'll be happy to help, then. I'm also gunning for the top with my own submission, but it's already been in progress for a long time coming and I'll be more than available tomorrow to do some contribution. Going for runner-up is really my goal, but we should definitely aim for the top.

What do you think of a bear reaver? We could call it Oso-Bash, (Oso is Spanish for bear).
