I had recently watched Despicable Me. It's a good movie, but I wish Gru and the girls interacted more. Or heck, a superhero finding it hilarious that three girls are following Gru around ^^.
8/10 Overall.

A double header for me from last week. Hong Kong Phooey, a bit of the older Hanna-Barbera fare, but still pretty funny and good wit.
Then I got to watchign Tangled, I thougth it would fee a little empty, but the animation done here is lively and funny. There were some scenes that made me laugh out loud and some that had me feeling empathy for some of the characters- a bit moreso than what I expected..... and that horse.... ;D:02: Definitely worth seeing.

I picked up the soundtrack for Tangled last week and regret nothing.

Recently, I've been working through the far-too-large .hack series, which involved playing 2 multi-disc RPGs and a half-dozen anime subseries. The central focus of the anime and games is an MMORPG called 'The World', which is highly popular but fatally flawed; its bugs and underlying depreciated code have a stubborn tendency to comatose its players. The breakdown/order of the entire package: 'Project .hack'- .hack//SIGN (28 Ep x 25 minutes)
- .hack//Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine (4-part PS2 game)
- .hack//Liminality (4 Ep x 30 minutes)
- .hack//GIFT (1 Ep x 25 minutes) - Non-canon
- .hack//Legend of the Twilight (12 Ep x 25 minutes) - Partial-canon
'.hack Conglomerate'
- .hack//Roots (26 Ep x 25 minutes)
- .hack//GU Rebirth, Reminisce, Redemption (3-part PS2 game)
- .hack//GU Returner (1 Ep x 25 minutes)
there's also dozens upon dozens of manga and other materials for the larger universe, including another anime just released this year (.hack//Quantum) and a PSP game only available in Japan (.hack//Link)...most of which I'm not likely to go through as I think I've exceeded my tolerance for a single universe for now...I'm about half-way through Redemption and I figure I'm at the 450-hour mark. SIGN, Liminality and IMOQ fit together beautifully, LotT is an enjoyable little after thought for the previous 3, and the GU trilogy are good games, but Roots was probably one of the slowest and most painful series I've had the 'pleasure' of going through...but since the GU trilogy's story is a direct continuation of it, it's "required reading" so to speak to help understand the story of the game. Ultimately, it's a great anime-game mixture; if you happen to have a PS2 and are looking for a really big story to get yourself into, one could do much worse with .hack. Unfortunately, none of the anime elements, save perhaps SIGN, could possibly stand on their own very well without having played the games, and likewise, the games' stories can be hurt by not having watched the anime. It's a package deal...all or nothing, as they say. Weighing my options on where to go from here...

Ho boy. .hack is far too extensive a series for me to bother with. Watched a bit of the anime (one of them), and thought it looked kind of interesting. Then I found out just how much stuff I'd have to go through to get the full story and gave up. I think the last really good (imo) animation I watched was The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, some time last year. It's a story about coming of age, by way of time travel. Went in not really knowing not to expect, came out pleasantly surprised. Probably one of my favorite movies now. If you're looking for a good family movie, it's got my recommendation. Oh yeah, also finally saw The Secret of NIMH. Thought it was overrated, but maybe my expectations were just too high from having heard so many good things about it over the years. Also, Paprika. Which was one of those things where the weirdness factor was more of the draw than the plot or art, I think. Involves a machine that lets people access other people's dreams falling into the wrong hands. If you want a bit of a trip or happen to like Satoshi Kon's stuff, then there you go. Also, saw this before Inception, which I think killed that one a bit for me. I really have to catch up with Pixar's stuff. WALL-E, Toy Story 3, and Up are all on my list.

I bought a ps2 some time ago and it came with Xenosaga Ep. 1 (i was wishing to play it so it was a good coincidence) then i realized that it has an animated version so i decided to watch it, pretty good story and animation, but i didn´t liked the fact that it varies too much from the original story of the game.

Just finished enjoying the beauty of Gunslinger Girl Season One.
Then I saw the first episode of season two, and things got ugly from the opening. I guess the production values took a plunge between the first season and the second. The art stye went from gritty to generic anime cuteness, and the soundtrack doesn't feel as inspired. Now it just feels like your regular run of the mill anime.
Well, I haven't seen the entire second season yet so hopefully I'm wrong about the direction its going. Hopefully.

Last thing I watched, eh. I hadn't been watching much anime until last year when I started up several things with a buddy online that we watch together.
Last thing was a Uchuu Senshi Baldios The Movie. I'm not gonna lie; this one's a bit of a downer. Nothing ends well. Aside from that, been watching some Star Driver as well, which is kinda hard to describe in any sense other than "giant robots in a school setting". Somehow it's still awesome. Hopefully it picks up more steam as the series goes on, but so far, so good.

I had recently watched Megamind. That is, hands down, an extremely fun and entertaining movie. I really liked the concept of a supervillian turning good after he believed he offed his nemesis.

With summer break in full swing, I've got my flatscreen and PS3 fired up:
I've gotten halfway through Zeta Gundam and just got reacquainted with an old favorite: Gargoyles.
Were it not for the fact I'm starting a diet, I'd be enjoying nightly snacks of cheese and summer sausage, such a pity, but it's a luxury I can do without for now...

As it was the only series with Mega Man in that I've never seen, I've decided to watch Captain N. Pretending it was a complete Alternate Universe from all the other video game series, I found it to be quite entertaining. But, I still found Mega Man and Kid Icarus' verbal tics to be annoying. I had rewatched the Mega Man Ruby-Spears cartoon, and I must admit that the series is a real guilty pleasure of mine One of the things that I've really enjoyed was Scott McNeil's performances as both Proto Man and Dr. Wily. Pity the series was cancelled after only Season 3 episode, and it really picked up.

Pity the series was cancelled after only Season 3 episode, and it really picked up. I feel exactly the same way. It feels wrong to enjoy that show as much as I do, but I love it to pieces. Even if it is hilariously inaccurate as far as the games are concerned. And Scott McNeil's voice for ProtoMan is perfection. No other voice is ever gonna do it for me when it comes to the ProtoMan. <3 And Wily. Heck, Scott McNeil's just all kinds of awesome himself.

Yesterday I saw a weird anime called "Scan2Go"
I was tottaly :06: I didn't got all of that. But somewhere in the middle of the episode I saw some RC cars being treated like people.
Then I realised what this anime was about. I've seen lots of those cars in the stores.
The only thing that made me WTH all over was that this made me remember of Beyblade where the exact same thing happens but with tops :07:
