You actually ninjaed me when you edited your post <.<; I did? All I know is I'd posted the link to his blog 25 minutes before your post. Literally. I didn't sneak that in as an edit. o__o; You can check the post/timestamps if you don't believe me. >_< I am a ninja, but I wasn't doing anything ninja-y there. :14: @seriousness I think I'm gonna call semantics on that one. Casual environment or none, I think I'd take any claims that posts on the devroom forums are being read by the dev-team lightly at best. (I choose to disregard the claims all together, personally) Unless they explicitly mention watching a particular thread, or that they read some thread or other, it never happened, IMO. But who knows? Maybe that is what this guy is for.

He seems pretty cool, but as for what he's gonna be doing I think he should have made that more clear, heck he might not even know though

Yeah he seems alright. I apologize for ever thinking he was using us. Although it did seem like this job sort of saved him. It's clear he needed it and I wonder if it's a long term thing.

Hey check out his latest blog post. They might just get Aero's name changed back to... Aero! They're letting people vote on which name they prefer. That's pretty cool. Still no real explanation for why they changed in the first place. (read: no honest explanation) And they have some new art of her apparently. ( Did they tweak the design, or is that just for phun, wonder... Ah, this is from the forums apparently. I thought that looked familiar. Nevvvvermind...) EDIT: Well damn. Sephira is actually winning here. How lame. (not that it really matters, of course)

Actually, no it isn't. Aero's winning now by like twice as much. Which is great, because Sephira just sounds way too much like Sephiroth for my tastes, and Sephiroth is way overrated.

Well, it looks like he's already on the job of voicing our side of the Dev Room.
I'm staying out of that pool personnaly. I don't really mind Sephira or Aero. As long as you keep in mind that Sephira is a word-play for Zephyr, both are wind-themed.
I leave that decision to the rest of the Dev Room.

@miss Dashe When I wrote that post it was. By a big margin, at the time too. It was fluctuating a bit earlier, but it always trended back toward Sephira. But if Aero's pulled ahead now, that's great! Is there a timeframe on this poll? I don't see myself watching it very closely, but we could drive ourselves crazy keeping up with the updates there.. Nightshade Yeah, I didn't mind Sephira half as much when someone noted the connection to Zephyr. (The similarity to “Sephiroth” seems like less of a big deal — not that it was ever a big deal) I still like Aero better, though. (And I don't like that they're continuing to lie to us about this... what's the real deal here?)

Aero is simply the name that will lead to the least drama over this game and how it's handled, so it's my pick. Sephira seems more like a formal name than one we'd always be hearing in-game, and Aero fits the four-letter naming convention for Legends girls thus far. It's a sensible pick for a name, and names matter (apparently).

Lying? They're not lying. They're just not giving us answers. Though I'll admit readily that this is just as bad. Skirting the question. It's really suspicious if they can't give us a straight-up answer for something as trivial as a character's name being changed between the two regions. Seriously, what have they got to hide? We just want to know why they changed her name. :-\

Today, I noticed that Kinako used her report to answer NA comments at last. It seems that Greg is the one to thank for this. His role of liaison is really starting to show. Oh, by the way, on report 17.5, she mentions that the japanese Dev Room were impressed by our mecha top 5. Although the way she formulates it makes it feel like they expected us to be subpar o.o; www.capcom-unity.com/devroom/blog/2010/12/22/kinakos_daily_report_17.5

Yeah, GregaMan mentioned he'd be translating some NA comments on Kinako's Daily Report and sending them along to her. It's cool that we're getting some representation there now, but as usual the questions aren't terribly interesting ones. I like the idea of getting some actual behind the scenes footage, though. (mentioned in 17) That would be pretty neat to see. o.o
It's cool that the folks at the Japanese devroom dug our mech designs, too. It would be cool if we could see more of what they have to say. And I don't blame them if they expected our designs to be subpar. I sure did. XD

If Japan expects us to be subpar, that's all the more reason to prove 'em wrong! >:] That downvoting, though, was really messed up. I seriously, seriously hope everyone on our side (and theirs) plays fair in future events.
