That looks awesome! I can't wait to actually see it when it's done.

Not much I've got to say right now, aside from bloody frickin' awesome. Loving the centerpiece in the ceiling there especially.

JMC, you're banned for the four-word post. Too bad, you might've been able to pimp an awesome game here. Alas, now that your record has been forever smeared with an irrevocable blemish of a four-word post, I have no choice but to exercise my prerogative of correctional dispensation...

Dislocated Sharukurusu foot is dislocated. XD Awesome to see this finally reach the public eye! This is a fantastic collection of sweet screenshots. You guys have really poured on the effort lately. Here's hoping more people flock to the project!

Actually, I noticed that when making the image, I just didn't have time to fix the ancient rig and re-export it. I figured a little error like that may give it some flavor.
Yeah, the next stage of the project is likely to be even more arduous than the last, but, now that I feel that it's safe to say the project will accomplish something, I won't feel so bad about pulling everyone else along for the ride.
Thanks for all the nice comments, but, this is merely the tip of the iceberg; stay tuned!

Wow, this is really nice. Is there any real ETA on that?

The ETA more or less depends on two factors right now.
A: The Engine development and how long it takes us to put everything together for a full fledged game.
B: The Artistic Style and all of the raw materials associated with graphics.
The second factor is by far the more flexible one now that ASH is out in the open. Assuming that the engine will be mostly done before the graphics are near completion, which is usually the case for games, it all depends on how fast we can put together graphics. I wouldn't expect to see the completed game this or next year, to be honest. That's not to say there won't be something to chew on before the final release, but, the sheer scope of the project means that we'll probably follow a long development cycle.

Are you developing the game engine by yourselves or using a 3rd party engine?

Custom 3D engine built from the ground up. The engine has been in development for at least a year behind the scenes, and is coming together quite well. It allows us to keep up with the newest features of graphics cards and fix every problem we encounter because it's our own code. It's still in its infancy and will get significantly better before its complete.

Oh, that's a grand project! How many team members are there? and what are your experiences? Is it built in C++?

JMC didn't really point this out, but the game is fully playable, right now. That means you can run around, shoot, enemies have AI and behave and attack smartly, the world has physics, the game has sound effects and music, on and on. It's all there, albet in a work in progress state. Fenix (the coder) is awesome like that. In fact, it's been playable for a long time now, just we have had some problems figuring out our style and getting the look all worked out and ready for a release. As for how many team members we have? Not enough . 6 main members and (as of last count) 11 occasional and past contributors. So yea, it's a pretty small team, but we work our butts off and somehow manage to make it work. If we had a few more members we could get the end result faster, *hint hint*, so if you want it to come faster, feel free to join up and help. Otherwise, it will take as long as it takes.
