Whatever, Chiz is the one obsessed with sig size. I'm sure with whatever input options we'll be getting, if they put DASH in versions an unruly mob of fans with torches and pitchforks will snuff it out DmC style.

(I must've edited this post a dozen times. >.<) Those 50 extra pixels make a lot of difference. >.< (like the difference between a custom avatar and a default Legends Station avatar, except not really)Anyway, yeah, but the thing is I don't think Capcom's going to listen to the Devil May Cry fans about DmC. Hopefully they'll take our input a bit more seriously, seeing as they're specifically asking for it. If it even comes to that, of course.. (p.s., I don't get your deal with those guys, really — have you even played Devil May Cry?) Hah. Maybe they'll make Roll and Tron versions, where MegaMan makes his choice based on which version you buy. If you want to see how it works out both ways, you have to buy both versions! x.x Ooh, or maybe they could do Pirate and Digger versions — with fundamentally different gameplay in each version, justifying purchasing both, effectively making two Legends 3s. That might actually be kind of cool. (but hiiiighly unlikely)They could have some fun with the idea if you think about it. It has some room for creativity, rather than just being a way to sell the same product twice. I'd imagine a number of people on these boards would go right ahead and buy two versions if they were released either way — myself included, probably. Capcom could get a lot of money out of us alone. (Ooh, cool, post 2,600)

You know, with the possibility of different versions coming, and the problems it would cause... I think it'd be a good initiative to start an official MML3 boycott...all the popular sequels have them, most of the members of those pickets usually end up buying their respective games anyway, and it'll help start some rage and vitriol that normal fanbases are known and loved for! Besides, this whole thing about MML3 being announces has seriously hampered our ability to justify complaining endlessly to Capcom and its staff about how they don't cater to our ever whim, and how all they're doing is taunting us. They've removed the only thing we've been known for and good at! Boycott MML3 so we can go back to bitching about how there's no MML3 being made and how Capcom are evil people for depriving us from a game we'd shower with love and money if it were ever announced! WHO'S WITH ME?! *gets banned*

I think we're still going to be able to bitch about it. Inafune is secretly planning on never having a US release. Europe and Asia will get the game, however. So don't count your chickens before they're even out of the...well, Chicken.

@green, no I haven't played Devil May Cry at all. I just think the backlash that DmC wound up with was totally insane. And thankfully about the opposite of what Legends 3 got.
That aside, if they don't release Legends 3 in the US after going to the trouble of making a logo with the English name on it, I am officially moving to Europe.

Because I can't think of a reason why they would need two versions of MML3 (different weapons in each one?), I hope they don't do it that way.
However being the fangirl that I am, if it did happen, I would buy both (?) versions in a heartbeat. I bought all 3 versions of Star Force, after all.

When you arrive tell me, I may have a comfy bed for you. Anyways... versions? Sounds interesting but.. not in this game please... they could do that in a side-game like TMOTB. And still I don't think it is a good idea.. is lowering MMl into Battle Network adn StarForce standarts. (Hey i'm a Bn fan as well bu I sustain my thought.)

I wonder if they'll really just use textures from the first two games...but make them better, quality-wise. I think I'd be able to settle for that on 3DS (but if this were PS3/360, nothing less than what Tron looks like in MvC3).
And I got rid of my signature for those of you thinking it's too big. In my defense, I just got a 27" LCD monitor. Native Resolution is 1920x1080. So to me, my signature didn't really seem overly huge. XD

Could you imagine the agony of turning on the game for the first time and finding out that its a card based battle-system game? (A-la-Kindgom Hearts: Chain of Memories style or Yggardsril Union)
I don't think I'd forgive 'em.

But what about a mini-card game you could play, like in FF8 and FF9? That could be fun to waste hours on.
However, Chain of Memories was a horrible battle system. Birth By Sleep, however, has a fairly interesting one...ish. It's better than what was in CoM for sure. But if MML3 actually added in more RPG-ish stuff with character and move-set development, then I could see the BBS system working well in MML3. But lets be honest, Inafune isn't gonna change the way the game plays that much. I think he'll keep the core gameplay from the originals, but I really really REALLY hope he doesn't decide to make the main catalyst of control the motion and/or stylus controls.

That would be hilariously horrible if he did that to us--I loath the stylus controls myself, and card battling just isn't right. If it isn't Inafune who does that, then it would be Eguchi, who worked on MMBN after DASH. That won't be happening, though.
The core game is going to stay, as that's just how Japanese developers roll. It really is more a matter of control when it comes to that, and there are more pressing matters elsewhere with the game. Having two versions for each girl outcome sounds nice, but I'm against having a resolution to that area of the plot entirely (it's much funnier when you still have a love triangle). I can also think of better diversions than, well, a card game--what worked with Tetra Master won't work for Legends.

When I got to the end of this, I had a momentary pause and thought "Wait... what was this thread originally about?"
I think they'd definitely make new textures, from what I've heard the 3DS has some badass graphics capabilities.
I also agree with the hate of stylus controls. I am SO GLAD that the 3DS has a joystick... erm... nub. Joynub.

Coincidentally enough, the first post to this thread is still very much relevant to recent happenings.
Enjoy.
