Mmm... More cryptic blog post. I swear I will still make that game one of these days. A game that not just myself, but almost the whole staff swears on. Doesn't sound like Inafune's talking about a game that's already in production, but I know no one's going to care about that. So, OMGS LEGENDS 3 IS COMING, GUYS!... EDIT: You know what? That was mean. I shouldn't ever post when I haven't had my caffeine. Sorry. (Although, I do have to say, it still doesn't sound like he's talking about something he's working on already)That was an interesting read, besides. I can't really think of anything it would be other than Rockman DASH, but as a Legends fan of course I'm going to think that. I guess it could be something else. Maybe.

Oh, we all know he's just talking about Star Force 4. Inafune's team's been emotionally attached to that one for ages.

It doesn't even necessarily say Inafune's talking about a MegaMan game. It's not like the only possibilities are Legends 3 and Star Force 4. o__o;

I'm a bit moved by Mr. Inafune's passion, well, I don't have any doubts now, I think we'll get a Legends 3 in a few years more at most. Edit: It doesn't even necessarily say Inafune's talking about a MegaMan game. It's not like the only possibilities are Legends 3 and Star Force 4. o__o; Which series has he said that he loves? Which series has he neglected for so many years? Which game is he asked about very often? What game has he said several times that he really wants to make? Which feelings are reaching out to him so strongly this year? And what series has as many Capcom employees wanting to work with him in something so special to them? And after putting together all those answers, what game does that point to? I don't have any doubts now, at least about Mr. Inafune's feelings.

Green, I was being highly sarcastic with that one.
Man, Rockxas, after that analysis I'm going to have to go back to my training regimen to keep myself from crying buckets if they do announce another DASH game. When they announce another DASH game. At this point I can solidly say I trust Inafune's judgment with whatever new directions he takes it in when the time comes.

I understood your sarcasm, Dashe. But it still kind of implied that if it's not Star Force it must be DASH. @_< Just kind of backwards. (What a strange world we'd live in if that were true!)Rockxas As a Legends fan, you see Legends. Inafune works on a lot of things. And a vague post is a vague post.

Rockxas As a Legends fan, you see Legends. Inafune works on a lot of things. And a vague post is a vague post. You are quite right, Inafune works on a lot of things, but does any of those other things qualify as the one described in that post, enough to make him swear on it and show such passion? I don't think so.

Not that you know of. Not that I know of. But I don't know everything Inafune works on. ... do you?
I didn't think so.

Where's Chiz? I bet he has a laundry list of Inafune projects hidden somewhere with super-specific statistics on them that could show you both real numbers. >_>

It's so...well, vague. Inside I'm going "Legends 3!?", and these quotes: Almost sounds like a confirmation, especially going over the old interviews. And yet with the way it's worded you can't really pinpoint it being any one game with absolute certainty.** :06: It seems we'll just have to keep waiting, as usual. *Yes, it's true; though I haven't found the source yet (looking for it), there was at least one interview in which it's stated that someone at CoJ said DASH was 'ahead of its time'.
**Originally I tried to find an example of it not being DASH 3, but I soon realized that it's too ambiguous to logically strike out the game in question as being DASH. :17:

Really, guys? You can't figure out what game he's talking about? Okay, this post is for you.
"There are works that I love even though they didn’t sell. … I have such a game. I swear I will still make that game one of these days." Games Inafune has worked on that are not noted as financial successes: Capcom Barcelona '92 Capcom Fighting Jam Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers Dark Void DuckTales Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru Rockman DASH Shadow of Rome
"A game that not just myself, but almost the whole staff swears on." Games Inafune's staff has publicly and almost unanimously sworn to make: Rockman DASH
"Even in interviews I am so often asked, 'Supposing you were allowed make a game you’ve neglected again and again, what game would you make?' I replied without uncertainty, every time. I would make a sequel to that one game." Games Inafune has expressed interest in creating sequels to without uncertainty in interviews: Biohazard Rockman DASH
"All of a sudden my feelings have begun to reach out? Why now?" Games Inafune has made that have recently received widespread public attention years after release: DuckTales Rockman DASH
"But now, the voices calling out for that [game] are the most numerous." Most-requested sequels involving Inafune: Biohazard Rockman DASH Rockman X

Green, I understand you've been hurt in the past by previous hype trains. They're very dangerous machines, after all. But you need to let go and love again and learn to be excited about stuff again, even if you get a little hurt in the end. I feel if your being this skeptical, at this point, your being more unreasonable than all the hype trains that have come before. There's nothing wrong with being responsible and level headed but the odds of that blog post not being Legends related is pretty slim. That blog post, like a lot of the interviews, make it sound like he isn't working on it yet. But like before, paying too much attention to the exact wording may not be worth it. I'm not saying, "Lets ignore what he's says and insert our own reality!" but game development(especially the early part) seems relatively fluid. Maybe he's been "working on it" by talking to the few key people he knew were going to be involved and simply pre-planning. And now they're preparing to segue into "actual development" where Capcom money gets involved and the rest of the stuff I can't talk about because I'm just ignorant. Capcom Europe twitter is at it again talking about two new games that are suppose to be announced tomorrow(Not sure if this has been talked about). Thing is that there's a Nintendo conference at the same time. So people are predicting these two games may be 3DS games.

All I was saying was it doesn't have to be Legends.
And I wasn't even really saying it for real.* But it got blown out of proportion.
I'm not setting foot on a hype train. I'll believe DASH 3 is coming when we get a release date.
* See below...

That's fine. We're not going to twist your arm and make you jump up and down in glee.
Technically, your absolutely right in that it doesn't have to be DASH. But the way he lays it out(and the way Cleveland Rock laid it out) makes it obviously DASH. Then again, as you mention before, everything is "obviously DASH" to us. Let's all just look forward and hope for the best.

I never thought hype was a good thing under any circumstance. It could definitely be true, and it would still be just as annoying as hearing Justin Bieber's name uttered for the umpteenth time within the past week or so.
Would be cool if it were true, I guess. But I think I'll wait until I've actually played the game to be excited, or have a single thing I could even say about it. This is all so devoid of any actual news. It's the same guessing game you guys have been playing for the past month or so.
