Apparently those guys -just- got a Legends board recently. And now they have emotikobun too! We've infected them with the plague!

Apparently those guys -just- got a Legends board recently. And now they have emotikobun too! We've infected them with the plague! A new place to pimp out our Legends Little Big Planet Level. Also, if I where a conspiracy theorist, I'd say that this is a sign... but since I'm no such thing... I feel this means absolutely nothing in correlation to the "oft-requested" title. :12:

I agree with every fabric of my being that isn't devoted entirely to logic. It's times like these when I wish I could get my hands on a Servbot T-shirt or ten just to show my support. Maybe one for every day of the week, I dunno.

I'm pretty sure Gamescon(a German gaming event that has gotten pretty big in the last few years) is August and TGS(The Tokyo Game Show which has fallen off a little in the last few years but is still a pretty big deal) is in September. These two are the most likely but really anything can happen anytime... so keep your eyes peeled. Those Union Cowards show up when you least expect them... I've hit up Google and Capcom's going to be a no-show in Deutschland next week. TGS is going to be the week of September 18th. If there isn't another major convention going on before next year, and Capcom has another Mega Man title to unveil for this Big Year for Mega Man, it'll probably go down there. Part of me will actually be a liiiiiittle bit disappointed if it's Legends 3 now...I'm planning a ten-year-wait party after all, and if we get an announcement before then all of my plans will go up in smoke. :17:

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Well, on one hand, we might be getting what we've been waiting for. But then, ten years of waiting is quite an achievement (the nights of Legends-related dreams come to mind), if not a record breaker (unlikely).

If it's officially announced in September - and that's a big if - it'd probably only see the light of day in December or January, assuming it's that fast. Coupled with the possibility that CoA would sit on their thumbs for a while over it, I don't think you'll have any worries about holding that 10-years-wait party, and as a bonus, you'll actually have something worthy to celebrate! However, not meaning to detract at all, RMD2 was released in April 2000 in Japan...meaning the 10 year mark was just over 16 weeks ago... While were fantasizing, anyone else want to see 5 Island Adventure as an unlockable?

All shall fear the MMLS Militia! It was good times.
I'm rather hesitant in believing that their will be a mega legends 3. It's been almost ten years since the last true sequel. Yes, we did have that little five island adventure but is only in Japan from what I understand. I live in Japan and still haven't bothered getting it yet minus the fact that I don't have a cell phone might be a problem too.
Yes, that would be amazing. If you are going to make a game that hasn't seen a sequel in so long, you might as well go all out on it and hope it doesn't fail.

Would be a nice thought, but if they have trouble with porting a PSX game like MoTB, I can't imagine the difficulty in getting a cell phone game fully playable and without looking like complete sh it on an HD. I don't know anything about that, honestly, it just doesn't strike me as something they'd even consider doing. I dunno, I'm still kind of indifferent to it aside from the hype, which I might add is a little annoying. It really could be anything, and even if it were Legends that doesn't necessarily mean it'd meet our expectations. :17:

But then, ten years of waiting is quite an achievement (the nights of Legends-related dreams come to mind), if not a record breaker (unlikely). It's really a win-win situation. Maybe not a global gaming record, but definitely a record for Mega Man, especially if we're counting Mega Man & Bass as canon Classic. If it makes you feel any better, Capcom usually takes 3-6 months to release a game after it's first officially announced. If it's officially announced in September - and that's a big if - it'd probably only see the light of day in December or January, assuming it's that fast. While were fantasizing, anyone else want to see 5 Island Adventure as an unlockable? Well, there aren't very many of us who are Japanese, otherwise we might've seen at least a nice in-depth synopsis of the cell phone game. Besides, we're Legends Station...not DASH Station. Therefore it'd make more sense to celebrate the US 10-year mark instead. Or at least explaining a seemingly random party to my mom (if I wind up moving back to live with her) would be a lot easier. My mom actually liked the Servbot speed training game enough that she'd probably want in on that party. At least she doesn't know about Gesellschaft Galley yet. I'm starting to lose hope now that you've said it'd really only be about a half a year tops from announcement to release. Inafune's fifteen million dollar budget's probably inflated a bit since we last left the boys at Capcom. Fifteen million for a 2007 game budget's pretty decent. Probably a load higher than Star Force or Battle Network and DEFINITELY beating out the cost of MM9/10 in any case, but I'm no developer so take my thoughts as you will. If he's wanting to go all out on a potential Legends 3, it would have to be in a pretty late development stage to even get an announcement, I'd think. Great to see you again, Rage! You wouldn't happen to know anyone interested in a Five-Island Adventure translation project over there, would you? :22: The only other military fellow I've met who's in Japan right now is pretty old and not a gamer at all. I don't even know if they make the cell phones you'd play it on anymore. It really could be anything, and even if it were Legends that doesn't necessarily mean it'd meet our expectations. :17: I'd be cool with just a really in-depth synopsis or a story script for Five-Island, just so we can be -absolutely- certain we're not missing anything good. I doubt we are, really, but it's nice to know for sure.

Guys, just thought of something... If Capcom is having trouble getting the voice actors from the original Legends in order to release it on PSN, then wouldn't that mean they haven't signed them on for Megaman Legends 3? I don't think they'd completely replace the voice cast for Legends 3... MML3 is looking less likely the more I think about it.

Does that only concern the US version, or were they having trouble tracking down the Japanese ones too?

They would easily replace the voice cast for MML3. They already replaced Volnutt's voice in MML2 and that wasn't nearly as large a gap. All bets are off. Many fans would likely gripe, but it's hardly a show-stopper.
Somehow, I don't think the Japanese voice cast will be so hard to wrangle. Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom featured most of the characters' original voices, some after more than thirty years after their original performances. The voice acting industry seems to work a little differently over there.

Sweet! If there are no qualms about replacing them from Capcom, then I'm going to have to find myself an agent over in Canada! Oh Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiz...
