When you gave me helpful critique, I thought I’d check your stuff out.
That Feeling...It's Love!: This one has my full respect. It's balanced, partially epic and well composed. Just soooo sad it's so short ;D but I can understand that issue very, very well XD
The Apple Market: Aww, after hearing the first song I was hoping I’d hear a non-stereotypical remix of the Apple Market. :c For pianos a nice trick to make them sound better is to slap on just a BIT of reverb - if you don't have a better sample set whatsoever.
The Main Gate Once again, WOW. Just one thing that bothers me loads here is the lack of any visualization of room, therefore sounds rather flat. A tiny global reverb can do wonders for making people visualize your epic orchestra in a huge ruin rather than someone's cellar. Oh... and now that I hear it a second time, the end seems VERY rushed. Still, that is to prefer over just a fade out!
Mission Briefing Absolutely impressive. Possibly turn down the drums a little and give it some underlining brass to fill the empty space in the back of the song?
Battle with the Balcon Gelede When working with MIDI sources, keep in mind that often the original author did not have the option to do something in the limited range of instruments they had. This song would have use for some Pizz Strings to keep up the pace of a boss fight, underlining brasses (even stabs!) and some faster drums. That transition a bit more than halfway through where the brass plays the up-and-down kind of melody? That is, frankly, sub par. You can do better, i know that. ;D
Anyway, thank you very much for giving me crit, it is seldom that I get helpful advice from another composer.

Ooo, actually critique. For future reference, this Project is about doing covers in better sound quality...maybe even with a little symphony flair to it, like in That Feeling...It's Love! My remix thread is mostly dead for the time being. XD But, right-o. Apple Market...yeah, the piano could use slight reverb. Easily fixable. Main Gate...needs reverb. Fixable. The ending? Well, yeah...I didn't wanna have another fade-out, so at the last minute, I threw something together. Ended up sounding like something you'd hear in MGS for some reason. But, in that sense, the ending is subtle and to the point. There's definitely room for improvement on it. Fixable. Mission Briefing, yeah...drums are slightly over-powering, but not enough to kill the whole thing fortunately. Fixable. As for adding brass sections for the "empty" space? I'm worried that would interrupt the epicness that is already there. But, that's not to say that I won't entertain the idea. Aaaaaand, Balcon. I'm not sure adding a Pizzicato part would actually help the whole track. I definitely see what you're saying, however. Now, the Brass? I refuse to use before the epic build up to the next section. It kills the effect because when the transition happens, you're not expecting the Brass at all. Kinda like in That Feeling and I'm sure that the addition of the Brass in that one threw a lot of people off, because there simply wasn't any Brass at all in the original source. Now, the drums? I'm really not too great with, at least in terms of orchestra compositions. I'm still growing and learning about how to use them, what way to use them and all that good stuff. If I had it my way (which I could), I'd get rid of the drums that ARE there and add in some Metal influenced drum-kit parts. In addition, the track itself doesn't give off a "fast" feeling. The battle happens in water, in a lake...not a lot of room to move extremely fast, especially with Bonne forces all over the place. And I will give you that, the brass in the later part of the track could be better. Actually, the reason I added in Brass was to cover up the Cello for that specific part. Why? Because the Cello by itself sounds like poo. EWQSL is a great sound library, but it doesn't give you absolutely everything you'd ever want for each instrument, but it gives you enough to be happy with (strictly speaking of Gold Edition). Now, it's definitely a possibility that I can go back and alter the section all together, have it expand a little more than it does in the source, but keeping the same feel. So, fixable. The critique is definitely appreciated proud. Revisions may be in the works eventually, but atm, I'm more concerned with the 10 year Anniversary Contest and attempting to grind out more covers. So, your feedback is noted and will be filed under my "To-Do Eventually" list. XD

HOLY CRAP IT'S AN UPDATE! This time around, I bring to you a simple cover song. Oh my, what ever could it be? Well, check out THIS page to find out. If you didn't guess it from the page, it's the Police Station theme. Huzzah!

Hey, no problem with me Loken. Do as you please with it. Actually, I managed to crank out a City Hall cover as well. It also uses the minimalistic lore that was in the Police Station cover...except with a Piano instead of a Trumpet. Additionally, I managed to get out ANOTHER cover. This time revisiting the good ol' KTOX Station theme. Enjoy good fellows, enjoy. :3 (Alternatively, you can find the links in the first post)

KTOX TV (station). Nobody else ever got a headache from the original in-game version but me? :22:

Yeah, I can't really say I've ever had that problem with...any video game music, in fact. You may just be alone on that one my friend. xD

I love your city hall! I always thought that was a beautiful song. The KTOX Station is the same song used in the hospital, right? Great stuff Dash.

Thanks Loken! City Hall IS a beautiful song, though Musashi slightly complained about there not being any strings. >.>
As for KTOX Station...I don't remember, to be honest. ._.

I seem to remember it playing while Ira mocked me with "Come back and see me A-gain."

Ha, I'd have to play through the game again to confirm...cause I don't think MMLS has the Hospital theme in it's music section.

I'm pretty sure the Hospital theme is the same as the KTOX TV Station theme. The one that's always giving me a headache. >_>
