One thing I do love is the plain how the backgrounds look, Are you making limits (invisible walls) or it could be possible to go as far as the sight can reach? One tip if that's possible... I'm not a programmer but I'm just suggesting, is making it like a little planet, running straight foward will lead to the same point where started. Since Elysium IS a little planet, that would certainly be appropriate, but difficult if he were to go for a realistic spherical layout, especially to anywhere close to scale. Making a square map wraparound would be very simple though. Video games do that all the time.

The plain for now it´s just a square: i added transparent walls so the player can´t fall to his doom, or it will keep falling until the eternity, but, hey! you give me a good idea, i couldn´t just make a sphere for the world because i will need to make a force simillar to gravity, to keep the player in the ground. Square mapping? could any of you give me an idea of how could i do that? a gameplay video maybe will help me.

Well it may not be so simple depending on the game-maker software you're using. I actually don't know much about programming myself, but the wraparound effect is prevalent in so many games in such simple capacities that the trick has to be easy enough at this level. I doubt you'll need gameplay videos since you've probably played a game like this at some point in your life. The most prominent example I can think of is any world map in any Final Fantasy game. The most classic example I know of is Asteroid. Oddly enough, I can't think of any Megaman examples, except I'm pretty sure MML does this if you go out of bounds. It definitely happens vertically where you drop off the bottom of the map and reappear at the top.
I imagine it could be accomplished with a portion of code like:
If MapCoordinateX < 0 Then MapCoordinateX = (max)
and
If MapCoordinateX > (max) Then MapCoordinateX = 0
So if you walk off one end of the map, it warps you to the other side and vice-versa. Of course if your game-making interface doesn't give you that level of control then it may not be possible. I'd look up some tutorials relating to your program, I'm sure somebody else has already done the legwork on it. Square wraparound maps are as old as video games.

This is coming pretty far pretty quickly. Keep it up! When you get to the point of adding story and cutscenes I'd be willing to help with voice acting :3

I haven´t posted in a while, because i had some problems with the character selection, i made some simple screens just to test: This is the Title screen: This is the character select screen: The problem is, i made one point from where the player start, it creates the models, everything fine at this point, but, the reaverbots face and follow that point instead Yuna and Sera´s models, it´s a bit frustrating because i don´t know how to fix it yet, but until i can fix it, i will work on other things, such as Sera´s moves and some animations.

Wow, those screens look AWESOME!!!
Are yuna and sera to have a separate set of moves?

Yes, at first i only made yuna´s model and armature, and used the same armature for Sera´s model, but now i have two different bones armatures, each with different animations and attacks, i can´t told you too much, but Sera will be a bit stronger than Yuna, and Yuna will be faster and agile than Sera.
Hey Duo, do you have any idea of how can i solve the enemy tracking problem? or any Python code that loads the armatures without having to make an empty to load them?

Last update: I´m still working on Sera´s animations, and i perfectioned my power gauge system As i mentioned before, Sera will be less agile than Yuna, so she can air-dash and Sera don´t: i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo199/Rockman_Striker/screenshots/sera-dash.jpgAnd i can now play using a joystick! I downloaded an application called "Joy2Key", basically, it makes you press the keyboard keys using the joystick´s buttons, it was awesome! ;D

Does double-posting rules here? if it is, sorry. I completed the pause screen layout: I changed a bit some stuff, in game, the cursor disappears, and appears again in the pause menu window, there are a few buttons on the menu, maybe i´ll add more later, for now only the "Exit" button works, it opens then a confirmation sub-window. If "yes" is clicked, returns to the main menu screen (who would thought?) the "x" in the top of the window also works to close that window. Only a few animations and attacks left, and the first level of the demo will be completed. By the way, i need some sound effects like explosions, and such, does any of you know a good site where i can download them, it will be very helpful, i have some sounds from MML that someone post them here before, but i still need more.

I highly recommend freesound.org You need to create an account to download the sounds but you can just get one from bugmenot.com

I modified some stuff on the models, like yuna´s pins, they were only triangles the first time, now they have the perfect shape, and the transparency on their bracelets, the problem with the reaverbots tracking it´s already fixed too. To do list: -Model and put some treasure boxes -design an item selection mode -some random stuff This isn´t dead, i´m working slow so please be more patient! ;D

Patience is a must in every legends fan right? Anyways I have to admit this.. the pause screens look so... so... well sweet. It seems to have everything else and I like the transparency...
Also I must say this... please make the game stop while on pause like any other.. I've been trough lots of fan-made games and te enemies or environment never stop at the pause in most of them... and some of them don't even have pause.
