Yeah, people around here sometimes take longer hiatuses with no warning, so having the heads up nets you a thumbs up in my book. Best of luck with the new job!

Any update at all on a game's development is better than being left in the dark. Thanks for the heads up, Striker. Best of luck at your new job, although you probably won't need it, yeah?

-The System will not be shut down. That's the spirit! Also sorry for not keeping you up-to-date with the 'little project' I sent to you some time ago; been pretty busy myself but I hope to find some time to sit down and finally get working on it sometime this year!

Best of luck at your new job, although you probably won't need it, yeah? Thanks! I really need as much support since working is not really my strong XP I always quit after a couple months, but this time I'll have to stay, at least for one year and then we'll see... -The System will not be shut down. That's the spirit! Also sorry for not keeping you up-to-date with the 'little project' I sent to you some time ago; been pretty busy myself but I hope to find some time to sit down and finally get working on it sometime this year! Yeah, don't worry about that, I won't be needing it any time soon either haha! Thank you all for being so comprehensive, you're the best!

Well, my own comment about Gatz has inspired me to make a game, though it's probably going to be a simple 2D one because I suck at modeling...

Can we play as Gatz? Actually, there'll be some stages where the mother units will ride on Geetz and Gatz on their reaverbot forms, so technically yeah.

Hey! Check this out! The Master System might not be finished yet, but it already has its own cover art! Thanks to HF for this incredible, amazing piece of art!

What's CAPCPOM supposed to mean? I know what the obvious name spoof implies, but is there any extra meaning that the P gives?

What's CAPCPOM supposed to mean? I know what the obvious name spoof implies, but is there any extra meaning that the P gives? It's based on an actual typo CAPCOM made in their copyright for the first Steel Battlion: Heavy Armor game trailer. It's in the same vein as my usual KONMAI parodies (which came from a typo in Konami's GuitarFreaks arcade game).

Here are some concept ideas I have, I can't test them due to my situation right now so those are just theories, although I feel I have the necessary knowledge in order to make them come true.
-Attributes (elemental) system: The original idea was to implement a system where reaverbots would be affected by these 4 attributes: Physical, Blast, Dark matter and Gravity in the same fashion as rpg's elemental damage system, except that reaverbots would not attack using these attributes. After pondering the idea, I feel I can actually make the characters be affected by this system as well and could also suffer from status ailments similar to MML2's. In order to do so, I have to modify my original idea and change some of those attributes, the list is as follows:
-Physical (represented by a green icon, standard damage caused by physical hits) -Blast (purple icon, damage caused by regular bullets such as the character's buster) -Flame (Red icon, damage caused by fire or explosions) -Electricity (Blue icon, damage caused by Electricity based attacks) Laser (Yellow icon, damage caused by lasers or energy beams)
Characters and enemies will have its own resistance and weaknesses to this elements.
-Special weapons and tools: There were some weapons in the original games that could not be used to attack such as the vacuum arm or the fire extinguisher; I'll give it a little twist and separate this weapons into three different categories: Special weapons, Tools and secondary weapons.
Special weapons are exactly what we're used to, examples are the machine gun arm or blade arm. Tools are special equipment not used for fighting such as the vacuum arm. Lastly, secondary weapons are any thrown weapons such as the land mines and bombs from MML1 or the crusher.
The player will now have 1 additional slot to equip one tool or secondary weapon along the special weapon, and there will be the possibly to switch between melee, special weapon and secondary weapon real time.
What do you think? Any comment, question or suggestion is welcome as always.
Thanks for reading.

I think if you put in too much extra stuff, you'll never actually end up with a finished game. The special weapon and tool differentiation is a pretty good idea, though.
