I've been toying with the idea of making an lj comm for Legends, since the one that did exist is dead. So I finally did! For those of you who aren't familiar with LiveJournal, communities are basically themed journals that all members can post to and comment on. The format is very cozy, I think. It's only a few days old, so there's only a couple members so far. If you've got an lj account kicking around (though they don't take long to set up if you don't!), you're welcome any time. It's also a good place to post things that might not be considered appropriate for the Legends Station forum. I'd love to see the community thrive, so if you're curious I encourage you to join and post something. You can even type in all caps if you'd like! It's no skin off my nose. ...I'm not very good at writing pitches. Oh well! Here's the link: community.livejournal.com/mother_lode/profile

You should mention that this is a link to a gay website with adult content.

...What? You sure you don't have malware redirecting you to hot @$%, duo? Or do you just have something against Live Journal? I gotta be honest, though. I don't see the point of LJ either. :/ What is it, exactly? Like MySpace?

LiveJournal is kind of like MySpace, since MySpace has a blog and all, but the main function of MySpace is to breed a generation of !@#$ing retards provide a profile. LiveJournal is more, as the name might suggest, a journal.. you know, your standard blog: post about your experiences, showcase random crap you find online, advertise whatever thing you've just come up with that only eight people will see at most, whatever you want — it's your blog.
duo, it appears anything inappropriate they have there comes with a warning anyway.
Hmm.. I had a LiveJournal at some point, but I think I canned it. I think I'm more of a Blogger man, myself. I'd join in, but I don't know that I'd actually have anything to post in the first place. Still, it looks pretty nifty.

@ duo: You probably ran into LJ's adult content disclaimer. I have the community set up so that LJ won't load the page for anonymous viewers unless they say they're over 14. Any non-worksafe entries are warned for and placed behind a cut or linked to a personal journal with heavier screening. So if you don't want to see adult content, you won't. I didn't warn for it here because I've already taken precautions against children stumbling onto things they shouldn't, and describing the comm as an 'adult gay website' is misrepresenting it, since you can post about anything Legends-related you like. inclover and Green: Green's described it pretty well. I would add that I personally don't update my journal very often; mostly I use it for communities. But yeah, less "social networking" more dorking around with people who share your interests. It's pretty laid back. And you don't have to post any novel content. You can lurk and yak at the other members, too.

I'm sorry for misrepresenting your site. I checked it out, and seeing what the legends characters were doing made me sick so I posted that message. I acknowledge that people have different tastes, so I won't pick on your site. However, the majority of the site's content is adult, and I'm assuming you're trying to attract that type of audience. I still think you should have written something here.
I know mml does have its share of sexual themes, so maybe its not completely out of left field (but still, I never saw THAT coming!). Its really weird to see childhood heroes doing those non-heroic kinds of things. Well, maybe in ancient Greece it was still considered heroic.
