Yeah, it's definitely gotten a nice amount of coverage. I'm actually surprised how quickly it took off. Dragge: I'm actually hoping that somebody beats my current high scores. In your defense, at least you can actually get a good time on Level 3. For some reason, I can't comprehend that level. :01:

Frankly I'm surprised SPA hasn't had that kind of widespread recognition any sooner. There's a lot of solid stuff in there all around.

Well SPA hasn't ever been topical I guess. This make for a good short article. I REALLY wish they were talking about TLT but either way they'll learn about it.

I'm really surprised at the flak it's getting from people, especially on the Nintendo Life page. I don't care what they say though, I still enjoy this game and the Legends series!!!
Edit: Well I'm on top in Level 3, as for 1 and 2 I still can't figure out the right route to do it quick enough.

Thanks much for all the feedback and discussion, everyone! I'm so glad you all dig it, and I can't tell you how awesome it is to see something of ours inspiring such intense competition on the score boards. ;D First time since Launch the Drache, and even more intense this time. @speed issuesBarrett's breakneck speeds/poor controlling were actually caused by a performance glitch of sorts, experienced only on certain computer systems. It only happened minimally to one of three computers fAB and I tested on so we didn't think it much of a concern at first, but after seeing user feedback we did extensive debugging... and it should be fixed as of last night. The strange thing is that it really should have slowed the game down, not sped it up. Made it much harder to pinpoint what exactly was going wrong. So yeah, with the updated version I hope those of you who couldn't control it will have a smoother time of it now. I suspect this might have even been the cause of some players having difficulty in picking up Servbots. (If you still think it's going too fast, this video shows the proper speed) @all the fameWow, it's a funny feeling seeing something of ours spread across the Internet like that. Especially after so many quality projects with months/years of work behind them going completely unnoticed. XD It's great that so many people are enjoying it, though it is a shame so many are misunderstanding its purpose, resulting in a lot of negativity. Oh well, you can't please everyone. Also, something I noticed, which isn't really a problem as it is just a thing that caught my eye, is that there isn't a fog effect. Actually there is fog, but it is pretty minimal; didn't want the towering structure to disappear in the background. Then again, for all I know your computer isn't displaying it for performance reasons; Unity can be funny about such things. :14:

Really? My game ran at that breakneck speed, too. I just figured that it required constant concentration to play. Oh well. At least it'll be more accessible to other people now.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game now, Truner. During the debugging we saw that the breakneck speeds could get even worse than originally experienced on our previously mentioned test computer, so I hate to think what you and many others were trying to play with. :34:
Interesting that your controls get stuck; I've seen that happen in the editor but not the actual game file. It could be a code bug, but from what I've experienced I think it might be caused by an ill-timed lag in the game when you release the key, and the game doesn't register the release while lagging... not sure what to do about that at present.
Concerning the gate, I suppose you would call it a glitch. We fixed a similar one at the gate near the harbor before release, but to be honest I'm really surprised Barrett is able to scale this one... but seeing as it's harmless and very obscure, I agree it's kind of awesome. XD
@kyle I must admit I facepalmed when I read your comment about the motorhorse getting weighed down by the fifth Servbot; a glitch that blends into and hurts the game's design like that is probably the worst kind of glitch. :06: Sorry about that. Although, your times seemed to be pretty darn good anyway, so it must not have ruined things too badly. XD

Hard to believe Sky Pirate Arcade is rushing toward five years on the web already. Throughout the site's life there have been a good many substantial tweaks to its layout and internal structure that have gradually brought us to version 2.0 of the site's existence. This "new version" doesn't signify an entirely new layout design, but it does mark the start of a new direction for the Arcade. Up to this point we've primarily sought to bring you new Legends fan games, but now we're out to actively expand the Legends fan game scene! SPA has always been open to outside game submissions, providing reliable hosting and a central hub for any Legends fan game creators to make use of. Now the submission guidelines have been streamlined and games may be sent in directly through email instead of through the MMLS Forums, making it easier for more people to share their creations through the Arcade. Furthermore, SPA has always housed a very small collection of resource material for the aspiring fan game creators to use in their Legends projects. Our resources section has now been considerably beefed up with new content, and there's more to come. The most exciting addition is a new page for 3D models that are ready for use! We've entered an interesting era where there are more Legends fan games being made in 3D than in 2D, so hopefully this page's content will see some good use in days to come. Sky Pirate Arcade also invites all of you to share your own Legends resources with the community through us! We know there are 3D modelers aplenty out there who do it just for fun, but wouldn't it be nice to see that work gain new life in a fan game project? Likewise there are many talented spriters whose Legends work could become the foundation for a new and exciting project! If just the material from cancelled Legends projects alone was gathered together, it could form a humongous resource for those with more time and enough ambition to see their works to completion! Sky Pirate Arcade is doing all it can to expand the Legends fan game scene! Game creators and artists, we hope you'll join us in our efforts!

Zaiy, it's a web page upgrade, not a new game. A pretty cool upgrade, though. I'll spread the word!

Been devoting some time to another 3D Legends fan game lately, Blumebear's Great Escape! It's still a little rough around the edges, but those who played the last demo will hopefully appreciate all that's been upgraded. Snag the new version on Sky Pirate Arcade! Read the lengthier write-up on The Main Gate!

This is kinda neat, cant wait to hit things with my bullets other than buildings and trees! haha. the movement, especially when your a servebot, is kinda funky though. also itll be cool if you can work in the curving bullets mechanic thang like in legends kinda.
