Well, I said the chain rusts, not the crown shaped pendant itself. I think people can easily buy a cheap non-rusting chain at a jewelry store. I may do that...eventually...

Hawaii will have its anime convention once again on April 27-29. The con will have guests such as Vic Mignogna, voice of Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist; Greg Ayers, voice of Chrono from Chrono Crusade, Monica Rial, voice of Haruka crapow from RahXephon; David Williams, founder and director of ADV; Jennifer Sekiguchi, voice of Ridley Silverlake from Radiata Stories, Silmeria from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and Hinata Hyuga from Naruto; and Luci Christian, voice of Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic. I'm particularly excited that Jennifer Sekiguchi's coming, because Ridley and Silmeria are from my favorite games, and Hinata is my favorite character in Naruto. Hinata and Naruto<3Hina is also the only reason I would watch Naruto, but only the parts that have Hinata in them. My anime club will do a Battle Royale parody on Sunday with everyone fighting...for a cup of instant ramen! The survivor will get the cup...only to find out that he doesn't have hot water! I'll be the one fighting with a PS2 controller, killing someone with my "M4d g4m1ng ski11z". Hey Malt/Melty/Mltmlt/Mr. M! I hope you can watch!

Oh, right, that is coming up, isn’t it? Got your PM about it, but it didn’t have that nifty repertoire of guests in it. Good to see that Vic is coming back. That fella could really work a crowd. Though honestly, I haven’t seen or played of any of the other shows or games there, except Naruto. But I’m sure their presentations will be just as neat regardless of whether or not I’ve heard of them. And they’re letting you do a skit on Sunday? You mean, actually performing on-stage? I recall them doing a showing of a few fan-made roleplaying videos last year, but I don’t remember them announcing live skits. Of course, I wasn’t actually there on the last day, so what do I know? I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned, but a friend of mine put on a show on the final day of the last convention. Some sort of Naruto fan video, I think. She and her friends were all actors, playing... some role or other. I never actually got to see it. Which was a shame, because it sounded like it would be a heck of a train wreck. By which I mean I’m sure it was lovely, should any of them come across this post in and recognize me. Unfortunately, the chances of me being at the convention on Sunday this year are slim to none. It isn’t even entirely guaranteed that I’ll be going at all at this point. First I’ll need to check some things with the friend who will be giving me a ride to be sure it will be possible. I’m not allowed to drive myself to anime conventions, you see. Legal reasons. But assuming that goes through, I have a couple of other matters on my personal agenda that I’ll need to be sure get resolved, else I’ll probably be busy on the days of the convention. But mostly, I just don’t think my pocketbook can take three more days of anime convention, especially if the prices have gone up. I think I traumatized the poor thing last year. I couldn't ask him to go on another day. That coupled with a crippling lack of sleep is what kept me from going on Sunday last time. However, I do still plan to pay the place a visit on the first two days if it is at all in my power to do so. Hopefully, we’ll find things to be a little more streamlined this time. Just as a thought though, perhaps you could videotape your performance and slap it up on YouTube or some file-sharing site? I’m sure the other members would enjoy it. Edit: Ah, right, and skimming all of the other posts here, it looks as though we aren’t the only ones being charged good limbs for their trinkets. One arm to get in and the other for a figurine. Perhaps if I fork over my first-born son they’ll give me a discount on those box sets. But really, it’s nice to hear that prices here are actually decent relative to the mainland prices. Though maybe not so much this year.

Hawaii's very own anime convention, Kawaii Kon, has come and gone. Here's some videos! None of them were uploaded by me. Here's the skit we did, titled Ramen Royale. Like I said in my last post, I'm the one killing someone with my "M4d g4m1ng skillz". Another noticeably hilarious thing about Kawaii Kon is the annual Zombie March! Here's another more closer look.
During the Kon, I've acquired awesome stuff! I got an EVA-04 (Spoiler?). I'll photograph the actual figure later. I got Jennifer Sekiguchi signature, who's the voice of Silmeria from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria! I didn't finish the game yet, which is why she wrote that. I got Sora's and Roxas' necklaces which look much closer to the ones seen in Kingdom Hearts than the one I got last year. I GOT AN AUTOGRAPHED MEGAMAN LEGENDS FAN-ART COPY BY DRAWN BY ROBERT DEJESUS! I talked to him about Legends, and he said that he loves this MegaMan for the character design. I told him about the Legends Station, and he said that he goes to the site. I also told him about our awesome forums. He doesn't have the game so I almost lent (It would've been for a year)him my Legends 1 since I don't play that one much anymore (I truthfully love Legends 2 a lot more than Legends 1)... Here's his autographI ALSO GOT A NAMCO X CAPCOM ROLL GATCHAPON FIGURE!!! I'll photograph it later. I'll add a ton of more stuff later.

You seemed to put a lot of effort into that post, I might as well answer, even though I basically know nothing about the people you saw or anything....(sorry I have no idea who they are....should I know them, are they important? o.o)
So, it looks like you had a lot of fun and got a lot of stuff, you still seem excited! That's good, and you got another Sora necklace? XD I actually picked one up in March, I found a picture on the net, it looks just like this. But I bet you got the one that actually looks like the one he wears, right? You got signatures from two people, how long did you have to wait in line? I usually don't have that kind of dedication. Cute drawing, too....Trigger is adorable. And good job on getting that Roll figure, I still haven't seen any Legends figures at any convention I've been to.

Well, let's see. Vic Mignogna was the voice of Broly in Dragon Ball Z, Edward Elric in Full Metal Alchemist, to name a few. I swear, that guy can sing! Yes, I was excited that I got pretty much everything I wanted at the Kon. However, I'm now broke. But that's alright, because I got everything I wanted! Yes, I got two new necklaces: Sora's and Roxas', which do look like replicas of the ones they wear. These are good cosplay items, which I'm seriously thinking of doing right now. That Kingdom Hearts logo necklace you got there is really pretty! I would want to get that one too! I waited about ten minutes or so to get Jennifer Sekiguchi's autograph. There wasn't anything interesting to do during the time anyway and I really wanted her autograph, as she's the voice of Ridley Silverlake from Radiata Stories and Simeria Valkyrie from Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. It was easy to get Robert DeJesus' autograph since he had his own table in the Dealer's Room selling stuff. Yeah, it was so cool to see a pretty famous artist do Legends fan art. It's funny. When I first spotted his video game fan art packet, I looked through it, hoping that there would be Legends fan art. Then boom! I SAW IT!!! It was quite easy to find that Roll figure. I was looking through a gatcha-pon box at Mecha Hawaii's dealer table, and I spotted a Namco x Capcom gatcha-pon. I immediately started searching for Roll or Tron. I easily found two Rolls! I guess I'll have to go to Mecha Hawaii's actual shop in order to find Tron.

Well I went to Anime North last weekend, and it was great! The only Legends related thing I saw once again was a copy of MML1, but for some reason I ALWAYS see it haha. I also saw some book for Namco X Capcom. I'm assuming it was an Art Book. I was going to buy it, but there was no guarantee there would be a lot of Legends pics in it, so I decided to pass....maybe someone scanned that book somewhere online. Hopefully.
I was looking for a Tron or Roll figure, but no luck. I saw some Mega Man X figures, but I didn't want them.
I did end up buying a few odds and ends, the thing I wanted the most was a Wolfram plushie from the anime series Kyou Kara Maou (a UFO plushie, $30...but so worth it. I don't have a scanner but I found a pic of it on ebay. <Wolfram plushie>). I also bought an action figure of Cou from Erementar Gerad/Elemental Gelade. I don't think anyone really knows of those series, but oh well, I love them!
Manga wise, I FINALLY found volume 5 of MegaMan NT Warrior randomly in the dealers room...yes, I'm collecting them....I was hoping they would have some more, considering there are like 11 issues out right now (I still need 6-11!). I also bough an issue of D. Gray-man. I bought this manga called Diabolo. My friend let me read half of volume 1, like last year in April, and it seemed interesting...heck it was on sale for 5 dollars, I had to get it. It's not well known at all, though. XD
Oh, I bought a Pokemon T-shirt, winter hat, and button. The t-shirt is meant for kids, but as long as I wear a longer shirt underneath, the Pokemon shirt fits me =D
Now I’ll finish blabbing about the random stuff I got…I just had a really good time overall, watching Anime, buying stuff, and seeing all of the cosplayers. I even saw a few people cosplaying as Ash <3

Hey, I’m late. Yeah, so I went to the Kawaii-Kon that Rockman went to. I said I’d post about it, but never found the opportunity to go through everything that happened and organize it into a post. It was a shame, really... Rockman and I were going to meet each other, but never crossed paths. But there is always next year, I suppose. The convention this year was decent. It wasn’t as entertaining as last year’s, unfortunately... For me, at least. The friend I was planning on going with announced at the last minute that he was broke and couldn’t afford admission, so I went alone. Not that I didn’t offer to pay them in, but I think the proposed interest on the loan turned him off. Out of the box, I got nothing Megaman-related. Just so you know what to expect. Though whatever the case, there were a few points worthy of mention. I have to say, the artists’ room completely thrashed the dealers’ room in terms of worthiness. Like the both of you, I did spend some time in the dealers’ room, but there just wasn’t anything there I was looking to buy. Especially since that vendor that was selling replica swords last year didn’t make an encore appearance. Though in their defense, they did have this small café set up in one corner of the room where all of the workers were dressed up like butlers and maids. I never worked up the nerve to actually order anything (... I felt underdressed, somehow), but kudos for the effort. The artists’ room got my vote as the better of the two. Both the dealers’ and artists’ rooms were mostly overpriced, but the artists’ room presented something of more interest to me. And it wasn’t merely a short hallway with about six or seven booths this time; they reserved an entire presentation room for it, and it was packed full. I spent most of my money on art. I’m honestly not sure what much of it was of, but it was art. I simply bought anything that caught my eye. Most of them were character portraits of people I didn’t recognize. Good-looking, fashionably dressed people I didn’t recognize. Probably from shows I’ve never heard of. I’ll upload the prints I got later for your enjoyment. And unlike Rockman, it never occurred to me to commission or request any Legends artwork. I’ll hang high for that one. *THIS SPACE RESERVED* Even more interesting, there was an art auction on the evening of the second day. I thought it was a creative way to sell off some original artwork... Twas not something I was expecting when I arrived. Unfortunately, the auction itself was... eh... lackluster. Holding an auction in the evening was not wise... Everyone who attended was apparently broke. Everything that actually got bid on was in the twenty-dollar range or lower, and most received no bids at all. Though on the other hand, there were a few larger paintings that sold for hundreds to people who placed preliminary bids before the actual auction, which was just astounding. Not sure of the medium... I know most of the larger ones were done with traditional paints, but there was a digital one or two up there. Of course, the other side to all of this was that there were some very nice works that went very cheap. I remember that there was a lovely watercolor that sold for under ten dollars. I feel sorry for some of those artists. Besides that, there were some technical problems; the room was too large to simply have the art (most of them poster-sized or smaller) displayed for everyone on a stand, so they brought in a digital projector. However, the lighting in the room wasn’t fantastic, so people were hardly able to see anything anyway. Hopefully that’ll be better in the future. I never actually bought anything; I was merely there as a casual observer. The auctioneer had quite an array of celebrity jokes though, so things stayed fresh. Other than that, I didn’t so much miss Vic’s live concert as I did give up on it. I was there early enough, but my stomach was uneasy (If the food moves, don’t eat it), and I didn’t feel like standing in a line that reached across the main corridor and down the stairs into the convention center’s lobby. So, I spent the hour or so that the concert was being held in churning out some laughable sketches on a quiet bench. Which turned out to be very relaxing. However, even if I missed the concert, I do have one up on Rockman in some regard. I went to the Fullmetal Alchemist commentary block in the showroom, and it just so happens that Vic was the one doing the commentary. Now that was something to see... We went through the first couple of episodes of the series, and he provided commentary, explaining what was going on behind the scenes as they were planning the episodes and making fun of the characters as he went. Especially Roy Mustang. It was glorious. More so than that, I don’t suppose anyone has ever heard of Fullmetal Fantasy? If not, that’s fine, because I hadn’t either. It was a live-action Fullmetal Alchemist fan film funded and produced by Vic, which starred him and many of the other voice actors from the series playing their own characters. It’s been shown at various anime conventions across the country for some time, apparently. There is an article on Wikipedia for anyone that cares. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fullmetal_FantasyWell, regarding that film... We never got to see it. We did, however, get the chance to see a second fan film allegedly made by Vic (He had to leave after the second episode commentary to prepare for the concert, so he wasn’t actually there to confirm that he made it, meaning that they could have just pulled our leg on that. Really though, if it wasn’t him, I don’t know anyone else who’d go through the trouble to make something like that). We were (also allegedly) the first audience ever to get the opportunity to see the final product, which was pleasing to know. This one was titled The Fullmetal and Flame Show, which was sort of a spoof of the Itchy and Scratchy show. It featured Edward and Roy, as well as several other characters in cameos, represented as plastic figurines and voiced by their respective actors. It was basically a series of shorts where the Ed figurine would find someway to maim or otherwise destroy the Roy figurine. There was a blender, and a truck... a microwave... *makes strained expression* ... Well, it’s been a while, so I can’t remember all of them clearly. I don’t want to spoil it anyway. It may sound rather cheap, using plastic figurines, but it was very well done, and you can’t beat authentic voice acting. And most importantly, it was entertaining. Although they did say (allege) before showing it that they were actually asked not to show it... Hopefully that doesn’t lead to any legal issues. Hopefully posting about it on an internet forum doesn’t lead to legal issues. Besides all of that, the cosplayers were decent. I wasn’t really paying them all that much attention to be honest, but I never have any objection to girls wearing skirts and lace. Never got any autographs either... Phobia of standing in lines and all that. My feet are still tender from last year. As to Tronbonne: Good to hear that you had a grand old time at Anime North, though that art book seems like a missed opportunity. I’d have bought that thing in a heartbeat. I didn’t see a single art book in the dealers’ room here. And I never actually got to watch that video yet, Rockman... my apologies. Give me another month. o.o *nods seriously*

I actually thought that this year's convention was the best. I guess that's because I got to go with my anime club, which is actually like my family now. ;D Maybe it's because we did our performance. And unlike Rockman, it never occurred to me to commission or request any Legends artwork. I’ll hang high for that one. Actually, I didn't ask for a commission for a Legends fan art. That art was actually already in that video game character fan-art packet that Robert made. That shows that Robert has an interest in Legends! It's a shame that you didn't see the concert. The line may have been ridicuoulsy long, but the wait wasn't. You would just have been in the back of the room. Sure, you may not be able to see Vic clearly, but listening to the awesome songs that Vic was singing. Every single song that he sung was awesome, I'm not kidding! It's cool how some of his songs are influenced by voice acting and anime! And I dunno if I said this before, but my friend who didn't think Vic would be good admitted that the concert rocked. But I guess if you felt relaxed doing something else, then that's fine. You can still see Vic's concert on YouTube. Just type in "Kawaii Kon" and you'll be able to see everything from Q & A from the guests to the concert. Please check it out! Oh yeah, when it was time to sing "Soldier A", Vic asked those who knew the song to come out to sing the chorus parts. When the song ended, I loved how the guy who was cosplaying as Roy Mustang did a salute at the end. Hopefully posting about it on an internet forum doesn’t lead to legal issues. I believe you can watch everything on YouTube. Again, just type in "Kawaii Kon" and I think you'll be able to easily find all of that commentary and hopefully the "Full Metal and Flame Show" (Roy Mustang fans, close your eyes).

I went to Fanexpo today, and I saw that Namco x Capcom book again. I figured out that it wasn't the artbook, but a guide for the game with art of all the characters in the last part of the book. Well, I bought it this time, for some reason....even though I knew that I'd seen all the art that was in the book already. It was $25, which was a little cheaper than I saw it at the last convention. I looked on the Internet for a picture of the actual art book and found what it looked like, but it wasn't at the con.
No other Legends related items though - not even that copy of MML1 that I always see at every con!! Maybe someone finally bought it?
The best thing so far about the convention was that I got to meet Veronica Taylor (the original english voice actor for Ash Ketchum, she's way better than the replacement)! I was so excited, and I'm proud to admit it. I got my picture taken with her and everything, and got her to sign this old Pokemon CD that I've had since I was 10, and 2 Pokemon DVDs. =D

Awesome! Did the NxC book have art of the Legends characters in it way in the back too, or not?

Ooh! Cool! Seeing that you're a big Pokemon fan, I'm sure you were really happy seeing her. Yes, she really was better than the replacement.
I'm going to go to Anime Los Angeles (ALA) next year in the beginning of January with my club. Anyone else going?

@ Dashe Basically the last chapter had one piece of art for each pair of characters in the game, so Roll/MegaMan showed up once there. Then after that section they showed all of the expressions each character had, so Tron/Servbots, Juno (I think), and Mega Man/Roll's expressions were shown.
It was kind of weird, some art for other characters were in different places, like Tron and a few other people I don't know were shown in the actual guide and not at the back with the majority.
The next little section showed sketches of the intro, so if I count that Trigger/Roll showed up there as well xD Everyone in the Namco x Capcom game had one artwork of them in the book, it's just too bad that I don't know who half of them are.
@ Rockman Yep, I was so excited to see her! ^_^ Mwhaha I will always be a Pokemon fan! She had a Question & Answer panel, so of course I went to that, too! When she was telling us about when the voice actors were replaced, it just gave the room a sad kind of mood....but at least she told us what happened.
Nope, I'm not going to that convention in LA, I'm not willing to leave Toronto for a convention. I know it's not for a while, but have fun at it anyway!

So, do you like the book, TronBonne?
Wait, when(and why) did they change voice actors in the Pokemon anime?
