Yaaaay. It's one of my top three favorite animes, along with NGE and Elfen Lied, but that's besides my point. It's fun, crazy and even deep. I guess i'm just a Gainax fanboy.
Anyone else like it?

Yes actually, I do like FLCL. It really is creative, and the fact that it actually boasts a storyline behind it makes it even better. I'm also a huge fan of Paranoia Agent, and Fruit Baskets. I used to watch Naruto back before it came out in America, and now it's just plain annoying... Ugh, the voice actors...

I'ma agree- again- with Shift. Probably one of the most creative, and a little (read: mostly) on the bizzare side. Although, when I understand what's going on during an episode and they don't, it gives me an opportunity to point at them and laugh.

Yeah, sort of like this.

I love when they make parodies on other things such as in the anime when they suddenly go into a still frame manga type thing, or when they insulted South Park and their patterns. It's hilarious.

Heh, it was a really good show. I loved all the little jokes here and there, the ending was good, and the whole hand-themed robots idea was awesome. Later, though, I doodled a guy with a computer as a head in my sketchbook, and really liked him and so made him a mascot of sorts... I still sometimes think I ripped that idea from the show. The Commander is so great with those eyebrows.

I do that a lot, get inspirations from other character designs. There's nothing wrong in doing so, so I just continue to do it, heh. Yeah, those eyebrows, hah. Everyone in the show that sees him comments on it. I remember one episode, where Haruko creates a robot of Tacune's dad, and that one scene where you see the cat tearing up a Haruko doll, when the cat walks away, you can see it's ... "balls" very vividly and clearly, mind you...

FLCL was one of those rare cases when I actually enjoyed the anime as much as the manga. Granted, the manga was only an adaptation of the series by Hajime Ueda, but they're both at the top of the list of my all-time favourite manga and anime. I have to say, I still prefer the Ueda's version, but they're so different I can like bits from both versions and not hate the other for leaving out the details, if you get me.

It's so cool and so random. Within the first five minutes, a mentally insane pink haired woman runs over the main character, and then she proceeds to hit him in the head with a bass guitar, which causes him to grow phallic horns? AWESOME. No other words to describe it.

Yes... I agree with you all. FLCL is my favorite anime and probably my favorite manga too. I think the coolest part is the last fight... super crazy. t3h pwnz0rz. You're all cool.

Episode 5, Brittle Bullet. The episode was plain awesome, Haruko was dressed in a bunny suit, and the song Blues Drive Monster was in it. Awesome.

I'll tell you what's the best. Remember how I said I loved the hand-themed robot? That one that has the cowboy hat and cloak, and he uses all these different guns, and he eventually flips and uses a gun in each of the five fingers... yeah, that rocked. Yeah, I liked their Gundam pun, but everybody knows fooly-cooly isn't nearly the same thing as Gundam. Silly peoples.

I love how they parodied Lupin III the most. Also the John Woo thing in that very same episode. I love all of it. Except the fourth episode Full Swing. Even though the ending of that episode is one of my favorite scenes in all of anime the rest of the episode is just WAY to perverted. You already mentioned the cat balls... eeewww.
Anyway. Can anyone explain to me exactly what the story is. Or rather tell if they even explain everything. Because every single time I see it see something I didn't see last time so I'm wondering what I miss. I guess I need a checklist of all the plot points because I'm never too sire if I missed something or your suppose to put it together yourself.

I hate those shows in which they insult Japan and it's citizens(I am Japanese, and I'm proud of it!)!
