Could you by chance tell me your computers specifications so I can try to figure out what would be causing this crash?

havent had a chance to try it yet, graduate school is a lot more time consuming than usually anticipated.

I can't get it to work, either. The game starts, I select "New Game" and then "Main", and then it says there's a runtime error and closes. Which is a shame as I'd really like to see how it's coming along.

Try random, as I said MAIN is not complete. I doubt Random will work either though. Send me your Computer's specifications so I can see what could be causing the problem.
Also, does the error show any other information?

Pretty good looking. The buster sound needs to be louder, the standing model needs changing, and you need different sound effects and music. Other than that, this game is on the road.
By the way, I emailed you about a staff spot.

Anyone who emailed me probably won't get a response, since I virus kicked my butt a few days ago and I haven't reset my email yet. I will now that you mention it though.
Also, its nice to see your alive Mandinga heh.

A bit buggy, not that big, works on low-end systems for me with windows 98se (i got a lot of things i've changed on that Operating System anyways to keep it up to date with Windows 2000/XP softwares). Overall - Nice OpenGL game Hmm, I'm curious if you guys are ever gonna give it a shot with the Direct X engine. I see you're using 3DSM for modeling and animation, and thats a nice pick! Maya overall is better for more freedom and putting more quality into your works. My project is more likely based on the classic Megaman and the X series, due to the storyline we chose to go by. So my crew wont be able to fully give support into this project but we can provide some help. I've already PMed Eric on giving the MMLEx some of my own support.

Im surprised at how much you guys have done actually. Especially with what a headache coding is... The only problem I had was that the game crashed every time I tried to shoot, or a Zakobon tried to attack me. I know how this must be for you guys. If the team isn't in constant communication, there's trouble. But to be completely honest... as honest as possible... as much as I'd like to see this game done.. It just doesn't look possible.. A fully 3D, complex game like this takes loads of man-power.. I'm not saying it's not possible to complete it, but the way Chiz describes it: no motivation, no communication, no game. My advice: Look around the internet for the many free game making programs out there. Full, massive, functional 2D games are possible with many of the easy to use programs out there. And the best part is that a 1-man team can create fully functional game in two to three months. I recommend: www.toolkitzone.com/or www.gamemaker.nl/Both of these can provide an easier alternative to create a 2D Megaman in a short amount of time. That is, if you guys want to continue the project. I just think this route has a higher success rate than pulling off a fully 3D game. I'm sorry if this sounds too negative, or like a discouraging post, but thats the truth. Hearing the truth has sure helped me in the past to move on. I hope you guys can take what you learned and move on to make something better. You guys have a lot of talent. I know I myself could never pull off even a fraction of what you guys have accomplished. Good luck to your future upcoming projects!

A bit cold, arent ya ; there are 3d game makers out there too, but their engines most likely wont be able to work with what this team wants for their game. By the way, the project can be completed sooner depending on their motivation as a whole. My motivation for my project is high for several reasons. So I'm ready to put in all my free time into my project, and make time for it as well in the mean-time whenever I get the chance to. Since I have a small start, I'm also familiar with playing each role in these kind of projects. It's just very time consuming, not hard.

MMLEx will never be a 2D game. If you want a 2D Legends game, see MegaMan Legends: Reploid Legacy (a project which has been awfully quiet for the last 2 years).
Sure, 2D game would be an easy way out, but one of the things MMLEx has going for it that sets it appart from RL is that it's 3D. It's one of few 3D MegaMan games, and (to my knowledge) the only one completely independant, that doesn't rely on another game's engine as a crutch. (Ex: MegaMan: Arena uses a heavily modified Quake 2 engine)
Yes, it's hard, and the team morale is discouragingly low, but what you see is what we made, not what someone else made and we modified to our own ends.
How respectable is a game that can be ripped off by 1 person in 2-3 months, anyways?

I hope no one took offense to my last post, that was the least of my intentions, BUT! I never said to drop the project! Like you said, that game is what you guys made, no one else. But when I said that, it was based on what Chiz said: It sounded like you'd pretty much given up. But, maybe re-reading your own last post Chiz, is enough to re-motivate you guys? It sure sounded inspirational. Just go for it!! BTW, there are plenty of 2D games out there that are by far more respectable than 3D games. Maybe 2-3 months was a bit of an exaggeration, but if you look at some of the games made down at the RPG toolkit zone website, some are simply jaw dropping. (again, sorry if I came off sounding like a jerk-) *runs off in shame*

Alright, you're trying to make a point... still over 9x% chance that they're sticking with their current project lol, and I dont blame 'em Hm, not so much as motivational needs now, they need someone in the crew to keep pushing others to work and keeping on top of them. Pushing them will either speed things up a bit or make them leave. Gotta do it appropriately and the person you're pushing better be motivated enough to put work into it, otherwise they should be out. Not so much am I saying for you to "Order Your Peeps Around", but instead say something like "Let's Put More Effort Into This". If it were to happen that anybody in my staff are to be slower than certain expectations, I'd just flip em off and also rip out their works from the project. I can find others to replace them, or I'll redo the needed works myself. Causes less trouble and reduces much risks of blackmailing and such of any kind. Constant contact with eachother is also a MUST, otherwise I'll consider them not really trying anything. Meh... If this is the kind of project that they're just "working on their free-time" or "when they're just bored and got nothing else to do", they obviously don't look forward to doing much work in it other than fantasizing what could've been done, and they're just giving it a shot. That's when it gets a little scary when you give too many people high hopes and trust. However, MMLEx is actually doing something. I don't know how well their crew is but putting up with this type of project for 2 years is quite a while. A lot of projects (even with 2D games), don't even put in a year in their works. So this is a pretty good project, however some people expect too much from it and want more. Anyways, let's respect them appropriately shall we? They've poured quite a bit of effort into this project, and they actually got a lot of attention from it apparently. Their work is way beyond average fan projects and they actually give proof with demos and screenshots of what they're working on. Their work is so far surprisingly very similar to the actual PSX game graphics, which is an excellent example of trying to match up to the original works.
