I wish that thread was never closed(this isn't the corrupt a wish thread is it). If I wouldn't of started my smear campaign, that topic may still be open today. That was fun, we argued over something that had no impact, there is one thing I learned about, GLYDE IS BETTER THAN TAMMY, Tammy smokes cigarettes and shoves them down childrens throats. That was my next post before I saw that it was locked. I had a stockpile of them just waiting to be used, they were in a text file. We should start another one... but it would be unforgivenly locked, and the creator banned. I think that thread got 2 or 3 pages in one day, thats good times. That was golden age, the only reason it happened was because fab was on vacation. Edit: I made it seem like I was happy while fab was gone, I meant that thread was the golden age

Actually I think the only reason it was closed was because fab went on vacation. BTW you smoke cigarettes and shove them down children throats! Come'on Justin have some respect for the dead ... I mean the banned . I would have been a good post though. Meperidine divine... I remember that... Who was it that said Tammy was dead in the first place? we should make another thread like that, with accusation flying everywhere and nobody really cares. It would have been a little more funny if she hadn't taken some of that stuff seriously... Actually now that I remember it more that's what made a lot of it funny in the first place ;D ;D ;D. Who's next on the list for entry to the club? Somebody has to be getting close, right?

fab is next, but we should send 1 week trial membership to the promising(not my name wants in, he begs me, I have power.) Or we could give the most prestigous long posting members, or people like tammy or ally who we know won't last the week of membership. I say at christmas we start a new election thread between some of the legends characters, and no one votes in the first thread, then there is a actual vote thread created after the smear campaign thread is gone for so long, then after the votes are counted, we force fab to post the game character that is most popular in legends, then we do it again 3 months after that with bonne robots, 3 mmore months, favorite saying ect ect ect ect ect. We should get the okay from fab, and ask him if the post don't count, that he will allow the thread, I miss the election thread in the first place.

Hey, hey, hey, HEY, HEY!
Lets not use the PDC phrase unless its entirely necessary. I mean a couple of the people didn't put THAT much effort into their posts, not you but they existed, whereas I try to put my all into almost every post I write. However lets just have the Humaru Hood decide on a topic and post away. I think you're topic would be good for general conversation, but we need something that really needs mud slinging. I mean with the election thread before I got behind Tammy on shaky premises and the second somebody called me on it I started throwing mud like it grew out of my hands.
I think that we should have a 'civil' debate on whether Roll or Tron (or whoever else we can think of) deserves Megaman more. Unlike the other thread like it this one should be dirty. And if anybody (boys especially) is having too much fun we should mock them for the rest of the thread.
As for Not My Name, if he really wants in so bad lets just get SIMSteven's okay and I'll PM him his entry visa for one week or two hundred posts, whichever comes first ;D.

I don't care about one week passes. Personally, I don't like them, though. We EARNED the right to be in here. They didn't. Also, I asked fab if I could be a mod on the General Board, so I could regulate topics like the MML Survivor thread and this thread. I mean, what did Blyka do to deserve the moderator position? He doesn't even POST any more. Tsk. Shunned again.

Alright, I guess Not My Name will have to go about this the slow way, but don't worry. I got about fifty of my post count on the election thread, it mushroomed that fast. If we get a couple of powerball threads like that going again then he'll get as many as he needs soon, soon enough... As for Mod, good luck... And when it comes to Blyka, I don't know what fab has up his sleeves. However might I suggest you try to get on his good side before you start asking for favors? Okay, that's not going to happen . The more I think about it the more I realized SIMSteven is right. Not My Names okay (and since Tammy/Birdbot/Mistress Sera/ and Ally have already gone the way of all the earth I think we can write that out) but we got here the hard way and I mean the HARD way. At least I did. It's not like MLU where everybody has 500 post or more and I'm the bug just trying not to get squashed...

I didn't say I wanted to give him a pass, I was just saying that he wanted in too. That means that there are probably other members who also want in. We may have to raise the bar after half the forum can get in. and if there is a substancial gap between members. I wonder if fab will ever post here, since he is most likely next, all bets are on.

If you don't notice, fab usually comes in to enforce the rules. So he AUTOMATICALLY doesn't get to join. ;D BANNED Seriously, though. Does anyone even remember when he posts just for the conversation? Basically, all I see him do is enforce rules and do the caption contest. I really don't see him in many more places.

I don't recall... but all the same don't bite the hand that feeds you... I'm sure you have a good name and all over at MLU, but if MMLS goes to town, like it just might, because with the sole exception of the caption thread it looks like fab's getting a little tired with legends (I think he's moving in a pokemon direction) then I'm most likely going down with it... . However fab, Feldinaut, Blyka and GWPharoahMan54 are all members of the Mod club, so that's why they weren't automatically given precidence here...

Yo, rant incoming.
Know what? I've been thinking. What do you think fab values more: posts or members?
I'd have to go with posts. He's growing distant, it seems. He's too stuck up with post counts, rather that having fun. I haven't seen much good come out of him lately. It's just a matter of time before this place turns into another MMMatrix. That's how I see it.
He's starting to get on my nerves, with all this "SPAM WARNING!" crap. Hell, at MLU, we've got nice people that use our best judgement when deciding when to delete. We stick to the basis of friendship, even if there is an annoying member. All fab seems to care about is post counts and rank. WHAT THE HELL DOES IT MATTER?! I'd rather have a fun board than a board whose moderators make me sick.
And to hell if he reads this. I'd like him to see his error. I'd rather he see his mistake than have a dead board.

One person, or a group of people won't ruin it for me. I still have friends here. I'm not about to leave. I still have a good time, despite, difficulties. I'd just rather not have such an uptight atmosphere.

I'm glad to hear you still have a good time, and that you don't want to leave, because as of late it almost seems as if you're trying to get yourself banned with the "let's bash fab in every other post" thing that's been going on. In all honesty, you don't know how close you came last night...
I'll be posting a thread later today when I find time, that will address a number of issues...

What uptight atmosphere, it feels pretty safe here. You feel threatened in an uptight environment. WAIT, I didn't read the above post and I have 1 word to say. Your lucky your not banned. And if fab only cares about post count then how come the new members get as much respect as senior members. Even though no member likes to have to watch their posts and follow rules, but keeping the forum clean is part of the job of having a forum and sometimes the mods and admins have to act. Most the members here are nice, the moderators do a good job, I don't see the reason for complaint. Back to topic. BM1-3, what do you think, should mods and admins be allowed in the club.
BTW SIMSteven, I applaud your honesty about how you feel about the forum. Even if I don't agree with you, at least I know you'll speak your mind.

I'm glad to hear you still have a good time, and that you don't want to leave, because as of late it almost seems as if you're trying to get yourself banned with the "let's bash fab in every other post" thing that's been going on. In all honesty, you don't know how close you came last night... Banned for free speech? Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Especially on an "anything" topic. I had a rant to get off my mind, and so I did it. It's not the same thing as a flame. I should be able to rant every now and then, especially if I feel the place is getting to be worse. fab: No, banned because of previous rule violations, total disrespect for the Forum Staff, and other things which have made you undesireable in my eyes, which shall not be mentioned here. Also, I like this place, but I'd rather see this place gain more popularity than go the way of another MMMatrix. I'd rather help than hurt. And if everyone starts calling fab the SPAM Nazi, I'd rather not stick around where anger starts flying. Thus, the blunt rant. Strong words make their way through better than passive words. They're more likely to hit home, that's why I use them. I'm more likely to get my point across, and to me, that's all that matters. As for making things better, do like the MLU members know. Give warnings, but subtly. Putting SPAM WARNING in a spam post not only humilates the member, it makes members like me mad just to see it. And don't harp on every single spam post. It's annoying. Instead, send one PM for when it becomes a problem. Delete the posts in question, and if they were talked about in the next few posts, quote them in the post after, and then delete. It'll keep the post count more accurate, if you're still hard-up on post counts. Be more personal. Tell them what they did wrong, and how they should fix what they're doing. Just telling them that they're in the wrong and to read the rules doesn't make a happy member. And if they don't know how to correct themselves for some reason, then they should be told how. Banning should be a last resort, not because they get too annoying. After three GOOD warnings in a close time, they should be "on the edge." If they don't shape up after that (as in, they'd get another warning), then they should be banned. People don't like to be told when they're wrong every time they're wrong. It's frustrating. fab: Our system works well, we do tell people what they did wrong. Your SPAM warnings were prior to the changes in policy, so I guess you wouldn't know. What uptight atmosphere, it feels pretty safe here. You feel threatened in an uptight environment. WAIT, I didn't read the above post and I have 1 word to say. Your lucky your not banned. And if fab only cares about post count then how come the new members get as much respect as senior members. Most the members here are nice, the moderators do a good job, I don't see the reason for complaint. Back to topic. BM1-3, what do you think, should mods and admins be allowed in the club. "What uptight atmosphere, it feels pretty safe here. You feel threatened in an uptight environment." That, and every time I see a spam warning... see above. "And if fab only cares about post count then how come the new members get as much respect as senior members." I'd say partially true. Do you see his welcoming posts? They usually consist of "sounds like a good/bad member" because of his "post checks." fab: True, I do give more hardy welcomes to those who look more promising, which I probably shouldn't do. But never have I said that someone looks like a bad member."Even though no member likes to have to watch their posts and follow rules, but keeping the forum clean is part of the job of having a forum and sometimes the mods and admins have to act." Sometimes, but not always. Ever heard of being lenient? Also, see above. fab: We're far more lenient than anyone seems to realize. The reason nobody realizes it, is because they only see the SPAM warnings on posts- we don't post to say, "So-and-so did something wrong but we're letting them off the hook," that's why you don't see when we're lenient."Most the members here are nice, the moderators do a good job, I don't see the reason for complaint." Members, yes. Mods, yes. But maybe the mods do too good of a job? Maybe it's more of a job than a friendship. Just seems to me like it. Also, see above. BTW SIMSteven, I applaud your honesty about how you feel about the forum. Even if I don't agree with you, at least I know you'll speak your mind. Exactly. Freedom of speech, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I speak from my mind and heart. It didn't flame, I tried not to disrespect, but sometimes, you gotta say what you gotta say. The place seemed too stuffy and formal. Who says that posts have to be grammatically correct? This is the Internet! Who says that posts have to be meaningful, or always have to relate to the topic? Isn't conversation enough? Isn't the whole purpose of a message board to talk, have fun, and make friends? I feel so. fab: I happen to see a message board and a forum as different things. Message boards being the more casual form you describe, and forums being the more organized form which I try to keep here. Not that fun and conversation isn't allowed, just take a look around at all of the threads that have gone off topic. That's why I'd like this place to be more friendly, and not have the mods breathing down my back. Slip-ups always happen. We're human, and the human race makes mistakes. But when mistakes turn into problems, I'd like to see the problems get fixed. Hence, why I said what I said. I felt there was a problem, and I wanted to try and correct it. As for the "anger of late," I'm not trying to move up, get banned, or bash fab in every post. It just all happened at once, that's all. Sometimes, dissatisfaction leads to more dissatisfaction. Maybe it's just been building up too much lately. Who knows? Maybe I just burst, and I am looking for help (and not finding it). That's the most probable answer.
